Creature from the Black Lagoon is clearly the influence here, which may even have shaded the design of the mirelurk king and Lakelurks in New Vegas. So we now get an in-game monster design, based on a film which then leads to an in-game film based on the film and the in-game monster which was influenced by the film being on the posters. I think part of my brain just melted...

I stumbled across a machine on a truck the first time I started in FO4 and got the pie first time. I didn't like the character and now after hundreds of times pushing the button I have never gotten the pie again.

Everytime I play I always seem to get the perfectly preserved pie on a truck that's nearby drumlins

It took me DOZENS of tries to get ONE perfectly preserved pies. When I finally got it, I immediately went back to Sanctuary and enshrined it on a display as one of the most difficult trophy ever attained. Hundreds of game hours later (representing years of in-game time later) I got a second one (which took many more tries I care to remember), which got placed in a shrine in my second main settlements in Far Harbor (the National Park Center, my prime base in Far Harbor is the Echo Lake site). That's because I got the pie in an out of way spot in Far Harbor. I STILL have as yet to get a PPP in Nuka-World ...so far.

Only way I can justify the people in the cars will still be there in the morning, is that they were there for the last showings. Otherwise, it is as you said.

The first bombs fell in the morning hitting major cities. Far Harbor is supposed to be in Maine so it was most likely hit by bombs dropped during the actual nuclear war that occurred after the first drop. The clocks always show the same time that they stopped but that could just be reusing sources. It stands to reason that there was more than one drop. I realize it's not really canonical but it's logical. 🤷‍♀️

I have a mod tbat gives me the ring of piece, it make no creature or human fight or flee. I also have a nuclear warhead mod, it give you the ability to craft the big ones, and they use the same texture as the nuke from the begining of the game and can clear the enire town of malden, including the taffington boathouse. I love the modding community, even though i only have a ps4.

Multiple sources tell us the bombs dropped at different times. Fallout 4 says it's the morning, while New Vegas puts it in the afternoon, and Fallout 1 (or 2, I can't remember) puts it in the evening

Steven Goskie That would be difficult to do. The major cities and major points of lore expand really far. Sticking to areas relevant to the Texas Revolution would just be scratching the surface of the best places to start.

Id like to see hawaii, itd be an interesting mix anywhere that still has ancient ruins as well as "modern" ones, plus the whole comercial tropical vibe thing it has going on, radsharks.

I honestly would love to see what happened to russia or maybe germany or even England. I know those places might be too big to play for the whole country, but that would be kinda cool, exploring each city and town in each in those country's. Those maps would be MASSIVE though, and most likely bethesda would have to come up with new weapons, armor, ammo, and other things like buildings, people and even language for npc's and the player character

Totally agree, however most people pass right aside of it because the game is based more around exploration than questlines this time and we're not used to it. I remember finding that skeleton in a corner with an empty coolant bottle and another one facing him with an empty rat poison bottle. They were hidden in a tight concrete space separated by a chalk like in the middle, which mean that they probably survived the explosion and splitted the room in 2 as they were getting on each other nerves and ended up commiting suicide when they realised that nobody would come to rescue them. When you pay attention to the environnement, there are tons of hidden stories everywhere and funny easter eggs. Have fun man!

This is what I love about the newer fallouts. the first 2 had everything out in the open for the most part. Given you were looking down at the character and had a birds eye view of the world, you can easily find easter eggs and secrets. Now that you are walking through the eyes of the character, the lore is harder to discover making replay much higher. Granted I played the hell out of the originals. But you have to invest time and patience into these if you want to fully experience what it felt to be alive in the time. The lore really envelops you fully into the atmosphere and setting. This is easily accomplished by the terminals, the music, and the sort of real life landmarks darted around the commonwealth and DC landscape. I'm one of those gamers who enjoys the entire franchise and is not afraid to admit that taking a risk life Fallout 3 and 4 paid off in the end. As much as people hate to admit this, they know it to be true. I'm optimistic for the future of the series because of how well it transitioned into full 3d. And for the record, I didn't mention New Vegas because it just piggy backed off of 3 so there were no risks involved other than piecing together the fragmented Van Buren plot points. 3 and 4 were milestones in the franchise. New Vegas was there.

What you're saying is absolutely true. I played the whole serie as well and i really liked how they brought the serie back to life and made it more successful than it ever was. Fallout 3 and 4 aren't perfect, no game is. However, they explored another part of the Fallout universe and made it more exploitable. I really loved how innovative they both were. I really liked NV too, but for me it felt like the exact same Fallout 3 gameplay with a different map, different quests (it is the main reason why it didn't win GOTY from any major publisher...) and without random encounters. It really felt like it could be a DLC. It didn't bring anything new that hasn't been seen before in the serie, only recycled material unlike 3 and 4, that got mixed with many more sandbox/exploration elements and innovative mecanisms. *New Vegas was there* -> This cannot be more accurate.
