It was soft with blowing snow up high that day, we had better corduroy lower. Those videos coming soon(ish).

Smooth. Ask Jasey Jay about a custom carbon winged front highback he used to use on his xcross board in the late 90’s. It might give you even more drive on your heel side.

Wasn't he riding hard boots back in his racing days?

Ask him. Tremblant was my everyday ride at the time. He showed me his boardercross setup personally. Don’t know if that’s what he always raced on. I made my own at the time and bolted it to the highback. I also bolted the highback to the baseplate. Being able to drive the edge through the wing allowed me to use zero forward on the highback (I use quite a bit of lean on the rear highback though). It gives me more rotational mobility to modulate the edge angle with my feet through a turn on steep, icy, mixed snow and avoid chatter. There’s no way I could get the same pencil line magic turns you’re getting on steeps, but I’m on a one board quiver trip riding powder or ice with the same setup and board. +12/27 Korua Dart. Great job showing the world what’s possible and how to do it.

@jimmin4483 Very cool! I rode a Dart yesterday in powder, grey ride. Post a photo of your setup in the binding mod thread on the new forum at carversconnection.com please? I'd love to see it.

I think the thing that gets on my nerves the most is how effortless you make it look 😆 Ride on brother

@@cherrycarves I was hoping there would be a link in the description for buying the abs of steel, but I don't see it. Will you be providing that in the mailing list emails?

Awesome. Thanks for you great contents and tutorials. Which board is this? Looks like a Never Summer Proto or similar. Ciao from Italy

@simonedeb Ha! Not similar at all... This is Jasey-Jay Anderson TCX 171 with a 15m sidecut and 196mm waist. Join the mailing list if you want one, or something similar. Ciao

How wide do you think a carving board should be for a size 9 woman's shoe? Flow bindings that don't add app cm
@cherrycarves
@cherrycarves 5 месяцев назад
So hard to say... A US women's 9 is a US men's 8 or mondo 25.5. This is Ryan Knapton's boot size and his board is 340mm in the waist, for example... Realistically, for a mere mortal, 27.5 or 28cm will be plenty for deep carving in most conditions on an average size 8m sidecut board.
