One thing I’ve always found funny is that when Sin was traveling with Sol, he mentioned that he wanted to have a weapon “that would stand out and look manly.” Sol sarcastically told him to go wave a flag.
Honestly when I first bought -Strive-, I thought it was a Halberd, which Vikings had a habit of putting flags on the opposite end of the axe head. But then I realized it's a flagpole.
Yeah him and his mom Dizzy are basically the opposite of that trope(only difference is Sin is mentally 5 while looking like a young adult while Dizzy is both physically and mentally a young adult despite technically chronically being 8 years old).
I really like the "Let's make failure, my friend." line. The idea of failing should be taken as a lesson to be better, rather than a discouragement in progressing.
I don't know what lesson I should take out of getting the shit kicked out of me by a roided up toddler aside from "do a lot of Trenbolone just to keep up"
@@Resident-of-Pluto he is telling you two things: It doesn't matter how old or young you are, life is always teaching you something, wallowing in past and defeat isn't the best thing and having a positive upbringing will make sure you will succeed And that flagpoles are a viable melee weapon if you snort enough sugar water
I like how the song starts talks about Sin not really caring about his father and bottle up his feelings. However as the time pass he grew to accept him and started to look ahead to the future
Troughout the song he says how he never cares for the future and how everyone annoys him with planning stuff and thinking of future, what "look ahead" are you on about? That's literally "i'm all about present, past or future don't matter to me" - the song.
People have mentioned that at 3:29 you can hear Holy Orders playing but if you listen even closer you can actually hear it overlapping with Awe of She as well - Dizzy’s original theme! No one does it quite like Daisuke
People said that in one ear you can hear Holy Orders, but in one ear you can also hear Awe of She. It actually even lines up with his gear and human eye too.
I think that one of the most underrated lines from this song is "Above is the sky and below is the ground, my heart is here". With the entire theme of gg being heaven or hell, it shows how sin doesn't care about the logistics or result of conflict, he cares about the emotional forces behind it. Idk but when I was listening it was such a cool realization when I made the connection to the intro and how it dismisses the entire concept.
I personally like how this song shares a lot of similar themes and lyrics to necessary discrepancy. Even if you didn't play Xrd you get to see exactly where Ram got her current outlook on life.
it's actually so cool how much Sin learned from each member of his family Not all conflicts need to be solved by fighting, so no matter what stands in his way, he's always hopeful about the overall outcome of things
But if it doesnt work the first time, show'em the good old beakdriver to the face(i just hope he doesnt become like those anime characters that tries to convince the bad guy when its obvious it wont work, then get him and everyone else screwed, that could be avoided if he just fight and stoped the bad guy)
I love the "the hourglass does not turn upside down" , it's like he understands that keeping himself mad with all that happened in overture isn't worth it, so he starts to look ahead and keep telling himself that "it will work out" and that he doesn't care anymore about what happened, preventing it from ruining his life when he's still so young and has much more to learn about.
I think its also refers to how you can’t get back wasted time. Like its better make up with anyone who you had disagreement with. Hoping it will eventually work out.
what i first interpreted that line as is a more general idea of "the things you wanna do won't get done if you stand still" and it goes with the "Let's make failure, my friend" line in a sense of, like, "get to whatever you'd like to do, and if it sucks at first? just learn from it, laugh it off and keep going" i love how positive and inspirational most of Strive's character themes are, it's really something seeing how far all of these characters have come
He also comes to terms with Ky at the beginning referencing that he "had a reason to cry" and "had a reason to be angry", most likely referencing his father handing him off to Sol but he then says he doesn't care about it
i love that Sin's upbringing is represented in his moveset and theme he knows the iconic supers from his two dads (Sol's Tyrant Rave and Ky's Ride the Lightning) and at 3:29 you can hear the riff from Holy Orders (Ky) in one ear and Awe of She (Dizzy) in the other (someone else also pointed out they're stereo mixed to be on his respective Gear and human halves, which is just... MADLAD DAISUKE STRIKES AGAIN) and he also mixed all the best aspects of his three separate parents into himself as he grew Sol's irreverent attitude to just get done with what needs done, Ky's righteousness and duty to look out for those in need and Dizzy's pure compassion for the world no matter what honestly, if/when Guilty Gear continues, i can see Sin serving the role Luke is trying to play in Street Fighter 6, as the new young series protagonist character, carrying the torch of the Flame of Corruption, the First King of Illyria, and the Daughter of Justice into a brighter future for everyone. he had the hunger gimmick in Xrd, so he's already a shonen protagonist through and through, and his "pure of heart, dumb of ass" nature leaves some room for him to grow further as a character and understand the world better, but presumably always come out the other end the same charismatic and optimistic himbo he's always been, just more determined and experienced
@@redroachofficial7388 sorry for replying so late lmao, yeah I'm alright it's just that a lot of times a have a bunch of problem's and I always, ALWAYS say "it will work out" when I try to solve them
Dizzy: Sin, all you can eat buffet is the name not a challenge. Sin: But mom, the old man said all the food is already paid for! Ram: Does that include all the burgers? *Ky banging his head on the table*
2:13 I love that piano solo so much that i almost wish it was the whole song Really cool song for a really cool character, having a blast with him on online.
Now that Sol's story is basically concluded in Strive. I think that Sin has the potential to be the protagonist for future games. Either him, or Baiken maybe
it's incredible to me how there isn't a single bad song in this entire playlist, like, usually when I find a song I like I check out the band and they have only 1 good song but this game comes with 24 works of ART, treats for my ears, and it also has a fighting game with them I think, comes when you buy the songs
When all themes are lyrically character-based to tell the story for each person; it's a more interesting listen as we learn about their past, the current present, and the potential future.
My beautiful cat of 13 yrs, who i’ve had since literally my whole life up to this point, has passed away i’m beyond devastated I’ll forever have a cat shaped hole where my heart should be however, this song keeps me going gotta keep going R.I.P Topèz
Y'know sometimes I have to imagine how happy Ky must be that after having a childhood completely tarnished by the Crusades and Justice, his own child, a literal Gear Prince can have this mentality as a direct result of all the work he's put into making the world a better place.
The view count here is criminally low! The happiest "traditional metal" song on the OST, super motivational chorus, the main guitar riff in the verse references Ride on Time, Sin's theme from GG2, and the solo section combines Holy Orders and Awe of She. Daisuke is just brilliant.
Y’know, I’m not as cool as him, but me and him have one thing in common: we both can eat a lot. Ah, Sin Kiske. I’ve been anticipating his release. He’s my favorite character in Guilty Gear, besides Happy Chaos. Sin Kiske is the son of Dizzy and Ky Kiske. He used to hate his dad, but grew to love him. He also was raised by Sol Badguy, which is very interesting to me. I love that his moves orchestrate some of Ky’s moves and Sol’s moves, though I’d love to see him with a Dragon Install. And his theme fits his character perfectly. Very positive and happy-go lucky. Love the character in lore, love the playable character, and love the theme. Certified bop.
@@aaronsound I should be thanking you! I love making the comments and it seems like people like them, so I do them! So, thanks for the support, my friend!
You can kinda hear both of the main characters in Sin’s theme. Obviously the Holy Orders leitmotif from Ky, but also from Find your one way as the “go excited” from Sol’s and “that’s right” from Sin’s sound similar
Jack-O: I have two people in my head, and we don't know how to exactly compromise on what we want to do in life considering one of us hates Sol Badguy for stopping us but the other is Frederick's Girlfriend.
The will and determination to not yield against Adversity of Ky Mixed with the ruthless resilence of Sol and The Boundless kindness and good will of Dizzy all in one Package.
I love this song so much because of what it means. Focusing on the now instead of then or when, going at your own pace, and remembering you'll get through it in the end as long as you don't stress yourself out. Staying positive and keeping a good attitude about everything. You have all the time in the world to do what you need to do because time won't turn back or go faster, just be you at your own pace. Don't rush, don't stress, keep chugging on.
Damn, that part about “it’s all about goals and future” and “nothing is sure of my life yet” really hits me That’s life for me rn. Idk what I’m gonna do with my life yet, but I guess I don’t know yet
Love this theme. It essentially tells listeners that they can do anything. It doesn't matter what happened in the past or what may happen in the future, so long as you keep going, things will work out. Even if it takes ten tries to get one victory, you'll still make it, and that's worth it.
If Find Your One Way is being in a barfight and winning, then Hourglass is just getting annoyed by someone trying to start a barfight, nearly start said barfight, then calmly leave the bar without throwing any punches with the guy who nearly started the barfight becoming cool with you.
I always thought the chorus said "And we'll walk on" instead of "It will work out" which actually works really well with a bunch of the lines (if only I could keep running, That's why I never stop, etc.) and generally works better with the idea of not being able to change the past and just walking on to the future, even if you can't run... just walk on. This is then also Sin encouraging others to walk on with him as well instead of just himself, which I personally think fits him well.
dizzy:hey ky ky:hm? dizzy:lf sin and ramlethal married wouldn't that make sol both your father and brother in law? or something like that? ky:(cold sweat)
It'll always be "TEN FIGHTS, ONE SMILE!" to me. I just enjoying this goofy boi going through match after match grinning like a goober at the prospect of a good fight no matter victory or defeat
