The greatest thing about Patti LaBelle is she would do her best to hold discipline and poise, but honey that GOSPEL is going to come through and MOTHER is going to serve us well. She is a universal treasure.
They should have modeled a black Mattel Barbie Doll after Patti with this attire and hair! I’m sure Bob Mackie has his hands in this look! A true porcelain doll! Just Gorgeous! There will never be another Patti LaBelle! You have to be sure of who you are to stand and driver such greatness!

First time I heard this version and it was different from the Tribute to Frank. I love both but the arrangement here gives a Disney movie-like, broadway vibe. Soothing and awesome. And Don't get me started on how her voice is so resonant in this version. Ms. Patti is superb as always
i must agree with you patti was in perfect voice on this video and those notes flowed from her like magic! NOWADAYS with the changes and affects menonpause has had on patti makes it seem like it's harder for her to get up there like she use to! i agree with you on that! but none the less she will still blow them socks off! unlike aretha franklin patti has maintained the foundation of her voice.

I think this one is more discipline with Patti I think the one she did for his birthday was more GOSPEL this one is more Presenting to the President ( White) back in the days.
well true, but its cause whitney sings from the back of her throat like cristina, thats why they sound oh so mighty-powerful, and they are, its just that celine and mariah sings mainly from their DIAPHRAM.....thats all...comment back!
