Oh dear, looks like you took one on the nose Mr. Ed...ouch! I've never gotten to the point that I will break in to a hive without a suit on. Call me a wimp, but I'm just NOT interested in getting stung if I can help it. Course it helps a lot that it's not as hot and humid as Louisiana here in Oregon! Great job guys as always.
Why are they always tearing down houses when you're done working on them? I'm glad that queen didn't run out that crack on you. Nice work catching her.
Well...Id guess that the remains are in such condition as to make the owners despair of ever making the rest look that good, so they just tear it down..... 🤣🤣🤣🤣 Good to see you, Rooster!
The heat is very oppressive here in Texas right now... be ready Jeff. Sadly to say, I'm going to miss the 17Th event with the TBA. catch you next time.
I had a feeling you were going to take a few stings...that suit is looking pretty tattered Mr. Ed! Bless you both on a great job! Love watching you wrangle bees. Awesome!
Wow, that was a big booty queen. I've fallen in love with watching you gentlemen save all these bees. Thank you so much. Y'all are awesome 👌🏻 Sending positive vibes and blessings from Northern Indiana 🙏 💛🐝
They sure did find a great spot. Unfortunately, little did they know the house was slated for demo.Thank you for your blessings and for watching. Until the next one, God's peace. Mr. Ed
It's always a bit more relaxing knowing the damage we do is irrelevant, but even still, I always try to do the least amount of damage exposing the hive. Thanks for watching, and I hope you will check out more of my bee wrangling/ bee rescues adventures and let me know what you think of them. By the way, I post a new video every Friday morning, and I look forward to hearing from you again soon. God's peace Kenny. Mr. Ed
i always look forward to your friday videos, its a little bit of peace and tranquility in my otherwise hectic world, thank you for the caring you exhibit and work you do.
I still say yall ought to get paid by the ton and harlie won't let you get by with ANYTHING, Mr, Fuzzy and I liked the quiet! Jesus weekend and BLESSINGS all around!
I've been binge watching your videos. I love that sometimes your open these hives up and they look just like normal hives, and other times the Bees look like they've been preserving weird slabs of fish in there instead. I'm fascinated by the Bumblebees nesting in the wall of my house, regardless of being allergic to them. They do great work in my garden. Amazing stuff!
Thank you so much for your interest in my channel and spending so much time with it. And don't forget, each Friday I post another adventure. Looking forward to hearing from you again soon. God's peace. Mr. Ed
I always love watching you and Charlie working a removal. I never miss one of your videos. The only thing that makes them even better is when Wreck It Ralph can make it a trio.
That was a hive wow mr ed great job good time Charlie great camara work as always get your nap Charlie that's funny 😂great video great explaining mr ed GOD bless and keep on wrangling
Mr Ed, next time i make it home I really do need to make my way over to the the Abbey. I'm making a double screen board split right now, using the the method you've shown in your videos. The best part? I didn't even have to make or buy the boards, I just gave a cabinet maker 1kg of honey and he made them for me! Take care, Conner
Love to meet you. Just make sure you get in touch with me before hand so I can make sure I'm at the abbey that day. You can reach me at oscelata@gmail.com Thanks for watching. God's peace. Mr. Ed
My 8 year old daughter and I beekeep together and like to watch your cutout videos Saturday mornings when we are chilling out. The other day she said to me, “Mama that looks like so much fun saving the bees. We should start doing cutouts.” 😅
Thank you very much for your blessings, kind words, and taking all the time to follow along with all my bee wrangling adventures. It is all greatly appreciated. God's peace. Mr. Ed
Mr Ed, Charlie usually says 2 hours to remove a hive. You said this one took 4 hours but there was 2 hives, the old one and the new one. Please tell Charlie he was right on time!
Wow that must have been an impressive hive before it was abandonned. I'm surprised you didn't take it in 2 foot sections starting at the bottom like you have in the past given the size of its heat signature.
When it comes to sheetrock, it's best to open it all up at once to cut down on the dust that can get into the comb. Thanks for watching. God's peace Michael. Mr. Ed
I was going to ask why not do the removal outside? But as I watched more I understood , as much as a layman can. Control of the environment Thank you for the blessing of honey bee rescue videos. ❤
Nothing beats a scary movie...unless stings come with it. Thanks for watching, and I hope you will check out more of my bee wrangling/ bee rescues adventures and let me know what you think of them. By the way, I post a new video every Friday morning, and I look forward to hearing from you again soon. God's peace Verna. Mr. Ed
I would love to have the old wood in that house. I have two old turn of the century houses in Florida and could use that old wood to replace damaged wood in them.
Actually, though the house was being torn down, being the house was in the historic district, most of the exterior had to be preserved. Thanks for watching. God's peace Phillip. Mr. Ed
Delighted to hear you enjoyed the video Rocky, thank you so much for taking the time to watch it and leave a comment. Also, I hope you will check out more of my bee wrangling/ bee rescues adventures and let me know what you think of them. By the way, I post a new video every Friday morning, and I look forward to hearing from you again soon. God's peace brother. Mr. Ed
I hope you were not disappointed. I had a great time, and was warmly welcomed. I certainly would come back if invited. Thanks for being there and for watching. God's peace. Mr. Ed
Nice removal Jeff. I’ve done about a dozen removals or so probably more. So I’d like to get good ideas from you guys. I don’t have a RU-vid channel. But I did record one removal last year on video. If you want to see it I’ll send you a copy.
Looked like a massive queen. Wild comb so ya could class all burr comb that one over last 3 years most were good slabs of brood and honey. All my swarm traps now made from F 17 PLY DARK BLACK 1METER WIDE 500MM DEEP 1200 HIGH ALL FULL DEEP FRAMES EASY TRANS TO STANDARD DEEP BOX.
Yall had pretty good luck gettimg the hive out and bees wrangled. Too bad there wasnt much comb good enough to frame up but theres plenty of honey for the bees to clean up and wax to be melted down.🐝🐝
We did manage to get 4 good frames of comb, and after the bees had cleaned things up, I managed to get about a 1 pound block of wax off of this hive. Thanks for watching. God's peace. Mr. Ed
If you are ever in the New Orleans area, get in touch before hand and we'd happily have you come along. Thanks for watching. God's peace Harley. Mr. Ed
They are waiting for me back at the abbey. After the removal, we go there to rehouse the bees and get them settled in. Thanks for watching, and I hope you will check out more of my bee wrangling/ bee rescues adventures and let me know what you think of them. By the way, I post a new video every Friday morning, and I look forward to hearing from you again soon. God's peace. Mr. Ed
@@JeffHorchoff they should be with you in order to preserve the order and orientation of the comb, and then only handle them once instead of once into the cooler then into frames. How do you prevent honey puddling in the bottom and crushing comb?
Good morning Mr. Ed and Good Time Charlie. Why did you opt for removing from inside the house and not the outside? Just curious I do some removals over here in the Panhandle of FL
A lot easier to remove sheetrock than wood siding. Also, less opportunities for robber bees to show up. Thanks for watching. God's peace Randall. Mr. Ed
I did not show the entire removal, but rest assured, I vacuumed all the bees during the removal, from the comb and the walls. Thanks for watching. God's peace Alfred. Mr. Ed
I hope it turned out fine for you and the bees. Thanks for watching, and I hope you will check out more of my bee wrangling/ bee rescues adventures and let me know what you think of them. By the way, I post a new video every Friday morning, and I look forward to hearing from you again soon. God's peace. Mr. Ed
Took about 8 hours, had nearly 125 pounds of honey. 8 feet tall from floor to ceiling and loads of bees. Only took two stings and happy property owners with their family watching and taking pictures.
I know hind sight 20/20 but you could have cut the sheet rock into vertical strips and removed a little at a time for a more organized operation , just an observation.
The main problem with that is the sheet rock dust. Removing the biggest at one time reduces the dust. Thanks for the suggestion and for watching. God's peace brother. Mr. Ed
Trust me, the bees knew I was there, sorry for the low volume. Thanks for watching, and I hope you will check out more of my bee wrangling/ bee rescues adventures and let me know what you think of them. By the way, I post a new video every Friday morning, and I look forward to hearing from you again soon. God's peace Kimberly. Mr. Ed
Delighted to hear you enjoyed the video, and I'm glad you enjoyed watching it. I will very often show the framing of the comb as I am setting up the new hive, but on this video I did not. The video link below shows one of my latest videos where we framed the comb as we were taking the hive apart, you may enjoy watching that one. I post these videos, to show just how important bees are to our very survival, and why we should not just kill them out of ignorance. I have been rescuing bees from being needlessly destroyed for over 13 years now, and hope to continue to do so for many more years to come. Also, in case you did not know, I post a new video every Friday morning, and I look forward to hearing from you again soon. Thanks for watching. God's peace. Nice job yet again. Good explanation as to why you wanted to cut from left to right side. Just a quick question, The cells have a slight angle downwards and that is important for honey storage, does it make a difference for brood comb to have the correct orientation or is that purely for nectar. Meaning will the bees use the comb for brood if it is assembled with the wrong orientation?
Yes it is important for both brood and honey which is why I alway have the comb oriented even when we place it in the ice chests. Thanks for watching. God's peace Kennith. Mr. Ed
I have never found AFB or EFB in any removal I have ever done. Lots of beetles, ants, and roaches, but that's all. Thanks for watching. God's peace Rachel. Mr. Ed
Thank you Melanie, ladders are VERY dangerous to work from and I avoid the use of one as often as possible. Thank you for your concern and for watching. God's peace. Mr. Ed
Hi Jeff Australia calling! Great job! But we all are facing varroa here in Australia, its here in a small area and they are trying to eradicate it. Question. Are there varroa in these hives you remove? We are all told all the feral hives die quickly from VM, whats the situation there with these unmanaged hives. Please answer! God bless Barry Palmwoods Honey
Varroa will unfortunately be with us till bees are no more. Hopefully, Australia can slow the tide or possibly contain it since it is newly arrived there. I do not know if the removals I do contain the mites, but I alway assume they do. However, since I do not treat, I assume the bees will handle the situation. Thanks for watching, and I hope you will check out more of my bee wrangling/ bee rescues adventures and let me know what you think of them. By the way, I post a new video every Friday morning, and I look forward to hearing from you again soon. God's peace. Mr. Ed
There was a bit of echoing going on, but it was not bad at all. Sorry you had problems listening. Thanks for watching, and I hope you will check out more of my bee wrangling/ bee rescues adventures and let me know what you think of them. By the way, I post a new video every Friday morning, and I look forward to hearing from you again soon. God's peace Fred. Mr. Ed
