As for how this game compares to the old ones: The girl is the player 2 of Hotd 4 (except older and even hotter) The guy is the younger brother of player 1 of Hotd 2 and Hotd 4. The antagonist is referenced in the secret ending of Hotd 4, mocking Goldman (antagonist of 2 and 4) for his weakness. And the Chariot and Hanged Man both return as bosses, complimented by the High Priestess and the Moon as new bosses. At this point, since the antagonist isn't confirmed to have died, there's still room for 1 more game featuring the Devil as the final core tarrot (unless they wanted to ignore them, or use sides ones like in P5Royal).
I believe the creator of The House of the Dead series wants to do 3 more main series games to wrap up the story and then that's it. I wish I could remember where I got that info from, I believe there's a video or article out there but if I could reference it now I would so ill just update when I get it

Played this game in the arcade at round one a few weeks back, unfortunately played it solo. For out of my friends, I'm the one who loves rail shooters with a passion. The sound system and effects they added for the cabinet was phenomenal. The story and voice acting is absolute cheesy, but man it had charm. Fun in long run, definitely recommend if you come across in the wild
I would legit pay to play this game legally. Got Hotd4 on my Ps3 somewhere, and I'm a huge fan of Scarlet. Apparently TecknoParrot is worth lookin' into...
Emulating this game is a pain in the ass but at the same time, being able to emulate at such a creamy smooth frame rate garners a lotta praise. Btw Steeb. How do you? *Forgets 5 minutes later*
Protip: - Do not shoot early. Let them come, surround you, as they don't attack early. Have anyone of them come at you one-by-one, then headshot them to get more scores, perfects + criticals. - When you are downed, aim carefully and headshot them. The same goes with rescuing another player (co-op) - Grenades are not that important, so do not use them without a proper explanation. - You seemed to be more trigger happy so that you suffered lot of accuracy rate, so don't do it. - Event clears can be racked with B or A, but the rest of your performances must be S (scores, accuracy, perfect shots, criticals) - If you want more hordes coming for you, avoid some "save your time" events to eliminate zombies so you can rack up more scores. - always bring gatling gun. If you are in a pinch when fighting against boss to cancel the attack, do not hesitate to use gatling gun. Do not empty it after cancelling it.
Scarlet Dawn is.... an ok game. They butchered the NA release because of lack of progression system/hard mode from JPN version also there's no subtitles for some god awful reason. The game also has WAY too many gotcha moments then other HOTD games which also pisses me off. Mostly the muscle zombies charging at you in half a second.
TeknoParrot emulator but if i remember correctly during the stream there seems to be a label that says (patron) for Scarlet Dawn so you might have to spend a bit on their patreon if there is one
