It's fascinating to watch the regression of John's intellect through the years, from his appearances on the Stern Show, to his bits on Leno, to his early podcasting "career" trying to suck up to Cumia, to his current public humiliation with the WATP/Dabbleverse shit. You can actually see his IQ go from mid 90s to low 80s/high 70s, it's wild. Alcohol really does damage your brain, kids.
The slowed speech is what scares me the most.. Reminds me of Phil Anselmo from Pantera, during his worst years, it was like talking to a guy who's stuck on slo-motion. ..But once he sobered up in 2009ish he was quick again. Maybe John can be sav- Yeah, nevermind. Who am I kidding.. Poor John🙈
I dont think alcohol or drugs, or whatever is the reason. Its just his delusion that is getting worse. One person tells him he's funny, and that's all it takes to convince him he's the greatest. That one out of 7 billion is right and the rest of the world doesn't understand funny
I've actually said before, whatever the opposite of charisma is, that is what John exudes. . .I just don't really know what to call it. Scumbaggedness?
@@happydayz7857 He had 2 houses he sold them after his divorce she got a good chunk of change then he pissed away the rest on alcohol. He still has a 400,000 condo in California hes trying to sell right now.
He's sitting in a room full of huge radio talents. Maybe he should have asked for honest advice and ways to improve? But Howard can be a scumbag and I understand John getting defensive. I like Stuttering John he seems like a nice guy.
Maybe it’s cuz I didn’t listen to stern in the 90s but I don’t understand how anyone ever thought John wasn’t a scumbag. I guess ppl didn’t realize he had nothing to do with writing the questions
Phone screening is typically done by interns so it’s not impressive. Johns practical jokes were all childish and not particularly funny. The only skill John had on the show was that he is so deluded and obnoxious that he can walk up to perfect strangers and ask insulting questions to them without getting embarrassed.
I noticed he didn't correct Howard when Howard said " I even like some of the questions you write". Considering Howard had to approve all the questions that means Stuttering John didn't write most of the questions which he currently takes credit for. Johns main bragging points are " I wrote the questions on Howard Stern's man on the street bits" and " I wrote for the Tonight Show" lol he didn't do neither
And that's why Jackie asked for so much money that he didn't get and led him to leave. Pelican made him feel like he was more invaluable to the show than he really was.
i dont get why everybody keeps saying he hasnt changed...the guy is a TOTALLY DIFFERENT GUY he is unrecognizable almost...not saying hes not a POS but a shit ton of things have definetely changed from him
I think part of what made the show the greatest of all time was that there were restrictions. Matt Stone & Trey Parker were asked why they didn't try to shop South Park to HBO and they can do whatever they want and they said they thought part of the charm and success of South Park was due to the fact that they couldn't come right out and just say "Cunt" and that there are restrictions because it creates this feeling of "I can't believe they did that"
@@TheWingus yeah I agree. I never knew that about Southpark. As soon as howard left for sirius the comedy nose dived. A bunch of grown men swearing saying fuck and cunt every half hour to be "shocking" got old quick. It was the dancing around the lines that made it funny.
@@bobdigi500 People don't really talk like that, that's why. What made Howard fun to listen to is that he took the mundane and everyday and made it interesting. You can't do that in surreal environment that people can't relate to.
John thought that Howard initiated his introduction to the world, but his personal talent thrusted him into the jobs he was getting. There is a reason Gary succeeded, it's because he got in line, John tried to cut it.
I believe that Howard was indirectly telling him he was going to lose his job if he didn’t change his garbage show. In true SJ fashion, he couldn’t take, nor accept any criticism, and he lost the job.
John is so pathetic and sulky during this. He keeps comparing himself to Jackie. He needed to believe they were in the same league during their time on the show. Ridiculous.
With so much talent and charisma. I always wonder why Stuttering John's career as a brilliant stand up comic, actor and talk show host never took off after leaving THSS and joining the Tonight Show..
Well he at least made a better living when he left. The problem with Howard was what all of these people that made the show what it was never made hardly anything while Howard and Robin made tens and hundreds of millions.
@@NateDawg920 last I heard, he got fired from selling homes in LA and he was begging people to buy him a laptop on his podcast. His ex-wife took him to the cleaners after the divorce. She took the fancy house and half his money.
@@lorenzoaramirez3915 oh yeah. He definitely got F'd in the divorce. Big reason why I've never married. Too many horror stories. Yah he definitely doesn't have the entertainment value to continue in show business the way he's attempted it. If he was good he should've been able to make a successful podcast and RU-vid channel just off interesting stories he should have. But he's not a great story teller. My point was that it's sad he even had to leave for the tonight show gig, but these guys were huge celebs for over a decade on THSS and weren't making the kind of money that should go along with that celebrity. If Howard couldn't turn it into some kind of bit for the show then these guys couldn't even take outside ventures that would at least pay them for the amount of celebrity they had. They would have to go out on the road for appearances to make decent money and even that they'd get goofed on for. Wasn't until John had Artie and KC that he could string good appearances together. But eventually Artie didn't need to be doing that with John..so I see why John left. He was just never able to amount to anything else in LA once Leno retired.
John said that when he was a kid he knew he wanted to be famous. He took every opportunity and killed off every meaningful relationship to achieve that. Now he's drinking himself to death on a webcam for 70 people and can barely draw double digits to his infrequent stand-up shows.
Lol he's still a happier person than howard who's worth 500 million dollars but treats regular people like garbage, sees a therapist 3x a week, and never leaves his basement. Howard has a life people would kill for but he's going to die a miserable person
@@RolandDeschain1 And howard is going to be fed to Beth's cats while she is spending his money because that's the only reason she is with him and deep down he knows that
The only reason stuttering juan became popular is because he stuttered. He actually thought he was a talented musician and actor so he developed a benzo pill addiction and major, MAJOR, drinking problem to get rid of the stutter, the only thing he should have held onto. Now he’s somehow a bigger loser than he was before
@@alisaortiz6196 I'm not hoping for it, but it certainly seems inevitable. He's showing signs of alcohol-induced 'wet brain'. Either than or he really is the biggest asshole on earth.
@Coon Hunter#1 It's mind boggling when you think about it. Out of all the secondary staffers from the show John made the most $$$. He had his stocks and real estate ventures from his time on the show, he did appearances and made a nice chunk during his 20s and 30s, he claimed he made a million before he was 30 which I find plausible. He then had like a 2.5 million dollar contract with Jay Leno over a 5 year period. For John to have to beg for money after all he had is mind boggling, how did he lose all of that?
@Coon Hunter#1 He's never going to make that much money ever again. John had an opportunity where lightning struck twice and he was making a lot of bank after leaving the show. I'd be curious to know how much he has left, I know he must've blown a ton in California and lost another fortune in the divorce. He might only have a net worth of a couple hundred thousand which given his previous earnings is insanely low.
@Coon Hunter#1 The 2 biggest factors are how much he lost in the divorce and with child support, and how much he was clearing in California. When he worked for Leno he was living in a mansion so even with that contract he had I can't imagine he was able to bank much extra.
@@watchusayin4084 no, it's because John was a talentless bore. There's like 10 bits at most from his 15 years there that are worth even posting online.
@@Haiight95 that’s such a cop out answer. How can someone possibly produce that when it’s decades ago and there were thousands of radio shows across the country. You just believe everything Howard said, don’t you?
I believe Johns a Weasley weasel. Going to tonight show is just sorta a good move on his part but he has to know he was jumping on a gig that wouldn't last. If he would've just been a regular DJ after Howard it was more for the novelty for Howard fans and just. dJ for normal viewers he's just far too unlikeable on his on.
@@GameCatcher89 yea - he lied about some anonymous "super chatter" having a family friend who needed donations for chemotherapy. So John setup a GoFundMe that went right to his own PayPal 🤣🤣🤣🤣. He had to take it down days after setting it up since what he was doing was literally illegal 🤣. He raised 96 dollars 🤣 There's a whole new community of podcasts now who are dedicated to goofing on John. He's really become a detestable piece of garbage.
@@pedrolongoria212 exactly. He was and always will be a complete phony. He acted as if he was the everyday blue collar man, but couldn’t be further from it. I’ll give him credit though on how well he can read people and situations. People loved Daniel Carver and now that it isn’t cool he will never speak of him and act as if he never existed. Artie, Fred, and KC were the closest thing to normal people on the show and he treats them as if they are gay, martians, etc when in reality Howard is questionable with his sexuality and the furthest thing from normal. I like the show but hate Howard, Robin, and a lot of his staff personally.
@@johnfraleee Artie’s still looking for Mrs Right in 2022, like Richard Simmons. You might not be *quite* as perceptive as you think. The show may have always been over your head. Everyday blue collar man? LOL
I now understand why The Super Spreaders father had to beat him a few times... trying to reason with the Dabbler is like talking to a thick brick wall. 😵💫
Dude, what happened to Howard? This was great! John - "If I can't be creative why do it? What do I get out of it?" Howard - "How about a paycheck, something you've never had before?!".... Holy Shit!!!!
This is a perfect example of why John didn’t become successful after Howard. Yeah Howard is roasting him but John also has one of the most popular radio show DJs mentioning his show (basically giving it free promo) and instead of going with it, he takes it to heart. He was terribly insecure, didn’t know his limitations and didn’t know how to leverage his image. Any image or fame can be leveraged in entertainment, even being the loser.
Of course he didn't become successful after Howard. He just doesn't have any talent or obvious ability. He got most of his laughs by reading lines that Howard and Fred and them wrote for him.
Of course John did not heed the advice of one of the most successful people in the history of radio and was fired from his radio show. A few years later they gave him an hour long show at noon, which John prerecorded during Howard’s show. John made the PD promise that he wouldn’t fire him this time. Then a new PD came in and immediately fired John.
@@silencemeviolateme6076 I never saw the show but it’s safe to say that whenever any show starts having “celebrity” guest stars it means the writers are out of ideas and just want to artificially boost ratings
@@Buckets50 I think by then Frazier had started, produced by the same people. They put their best writers on it and wings lost their upward thrust. Gilbert had been on a couple times by then. I think the writers/producers were just huge stern fans. Howard talked about them asking him every season to be on. I believe him. Maybe not the final reason but seems interesting they put Frazier on the radio. Bet stern is pissed now that he never did a few episodes.
The reason you believe that is because it’s repeatedly said by all the stern show losers. They don’t understand that they are only successful in the context of sterns show. The stern show was basically just a reality show and all “reality show stars” seem to think they are much more talented than they are
John had two choices. 1. If he really hated being the underling to Stern, he could go out and try to make his career on his own OR 2. Shut up, be appreciative, take the harsh criticism and take advantage of the opportunities given. Both easier said than done. John could still be on the Stern show today if he'd been smart. Instead he got used by the Tonight Show to make Howard look bad. Kind of a shame. Richard and Sal get boatloads of insults but they're loved by the fans and now riding out into the sunset with yhe show
I love how Howard groomed his whole staff like a puppet master. Reminds me of the scene with Howard from his movie doing the XRated puppet show. Howard likes playing with his human dolls.
He would have talked to Howard the same way he talks to people now, you can see the rage inside him, but he was always terrified of Howard. The same clueless narcissist now that he was then, plus of course all that damage from alcohol over the years. It's amazing going back all those years and hearing Howard and Robin telling him he never learns, then watching him now.
John was the Howard Stern show, he buttered Howard's bread for years. Howard has betrayed everyone that made him famous. Howard owes the wack pack his manhood.
The way John argues is enraging... H: "You abused my generosity!" J: "But Gary & Jackie did the same thing" H: "Gary pulls his weight, Jackie pulls his weight!" J: "Robin did things too" H: "We're talking about you John, nobody else."
He's exactly the same now. In the same way that anytime anyone even remotely criticizes Biden, his response is "Kkkkkccahhccc and Donald Trump, this man you worship, is retahhhhded, get the fuck outta heah!" Wow, John - I didn't actually say anything about Trump but my - what insightful political analysis! That was great how you facilitated the discussion, presenting counterpoints to Biden's critics! Haha, what a dipshit.
Dont agree!! Robin is!!! She is the most unfunny rude obnoxious disruptive useless non sensical person not only on show but world..worst co host that Howard couldve picked in world...literally..made millions on no contributions or adding any enlightening bits or segments to the show from day one!!
John was always delusional. He thought he was this great talent. John was just some stuttering doofus Howard brought on the show for them to goof on and to use his goofiness in bits to troll ppl.
This was a GREAT era of the show. Howard hasn't started his downward spiral of a more "sturctured" show. He looks comfortable and much funnier and quick than he started to become, and the bits were fast and furious with Fred and Jackie. And Robin was hot. I would have loved to have gotten some of that ham on my hands.
I saw StutJohn on a guy named Tommys pod cast And over two interviews in two days John ended up drunk both times Where he couldn’t WALK And had nowhere to sleep Imagine how sad that is What is John trying to drown w alcohol? He never mentions his parents Pray for John’s kids though
