The Hu are one of my favorite bands. Ever since I took a World Music class in college, I have loved groups that blend traditional forms and instruments and modern energy. Let there be rock.

No matter how often I hear this song, it never fails to captivate and I'm always again amazed how he makes the instrument whinny like a horse (here at 3:42). Amazing performance!

i see/hear music like this and other things like the Yoshida brothers on shamisen, 2Cellos, or songs in "raw" Gaelic, and all sorts of other types of non-mainstream music, and IT ALL SIMPLY FASCINATES ME! 😍 Music transcends ethnicities, creeds, skin color, and ages. But the singer in the center is ROCKIN those cowboy boots (the wearing of which apparently transcend a lot of ethnicities themselves!). So very VERY cool. ❤❤❤

I absolutely adore the deep vibrating tone of their voices. The music is magical and you can imagine racing over the Mongolian plains. It’s also strangely hypnotic and calming. Definite fan!❤️❤️❤️❤️
I enjoy this performance so much! Every time I watch it it just gets better. I've become obsessed with studying the various cultures' throat singing techniques and have Spotify playlists devoted to this. They are just incredible and how they can make their instruments sound like horses OMG! I swoon over The Hu
The HU practice a Mongolian singing technique called THROAT SINGING. This is what makes their music so unique. I do hope they plan a concert tour in the USA so people can hear & enjoy the unique fusion of rock n roll & Mongolian Throat Singing. The instruments the two in front are playing are Mongolian.
