Any camera does. The fact that they could gather light for much longer periods of time alone makes them superior already. Then we've got macro/wide/zoom lenses which makes them vastly ahead of our own sight. Oh, did I forgot to say that a camera could capture light waves that our eyes can't, such as infrared??

For video recording, Apple and Samsung still have good HDR and audio quality, but for photography it seems that Huawei is the best except its over saturation.

There was actually no light when you took the shot at 2:51 yet the phone managed to brighten the pic up as if it was shot in the day. Damn!!!! Huawei is king of night shots
Actually I didn't know which stars behind the Birmingham library are actual stars and which are just dust particles on my laptop screen XD By the way, another great video, Arun, good job, keep it up :)
I think it's really impressive how this phone captures elements that even we as humans can't really see, but I think that brightening up the sky makes it look more like it was taken during the day. I'd prefer something where the sky still remains the darkest of blues or even black but the rest is brightened up. Still, this is the best there is, so I'm not complaining too much.
Adarsh X Thakur yeah p30 definetely. I personally use a pixel 3 though cause i had to buy a $600 device that would last long and still have a good camera.

Man the quality of your videoes are so awesome, and so proffesional! If you want to see something sick, go out when there are stars, switch to pro mode, and choose iso 400k. The P30 Pro will shoot at 0.5 sec, give it some time to process and get mindblown. You will see so many stars and the detail, they really did a good jobb with this one!

OMG...what a crazy sensors in this device!. I'd REALLY like a fair and extense comparison with Pixel 3 in both photo and video. Thanks for your job. Try to keep impartial in your conclussions even though brands pay you to promote them. Fair play goes first. 😉

Nah the S10 is a much better phone, and has a better camera. Huawei is only better in low light and zoom. Samsung destroys Huawei with daylight photography, video recording and of course its Ultra Wide camera.

Much better display, much better speakers, headphone jack, much better video recording, much better daylight pics, much better design, better build quality, muchhh better software, much better microphone, better CPU, better GPU etc. Yet the same price. It just beats the P30 Pro
@@BlackParade01 Samsung phones were never great at video recording, maybe they're good at taking photos, but videos? i don't think so. The best at video recording would be the iPhone series.
Light sensors are able to see much more light than human eyes. It just an option. You could shoot in auto mode or even in pro mode to get exactly what your eyes can see, but it's cool being able to get all those details your eyes miss in the dark. Long exposure shots are great for example to astro-photography and many other fields. Smartphones are becoming wonderful tools in photo and video in day and night conditions so....where are the bad news?
@@AbdulHakim-lk8ov Read the article by Androidpolice, auto mode is even better than night mode since night mode over saturates and has a weird hue to it.

My honor 8x can also do the night shots for phoned not supporting night shot go to pro mode and set iso to 1500 and above and increase shutter speed to 3-5 sec

I would like to suggest something new to test with all these new smartphones. Namely their flash. I have noticed a huge difference between then while using them as flashlight. I would love it if you could do a comparison with as many different phones as you can! 😁👍 I don't think anyone else is comparing them yet. Btw, congratulations for 2 Million subscribers! 🥳
Just think of a phone which have the camera hardware of HUAWEI, camera software of GOOGLE, design like SAMSUNG,security like APPLE , speed like ONEPLUS, price like XIAOMI and immortality like NOKIA 3310.....🤔🤔😀😂😂😂
You can do half of that by rooting a P30 and downloading the Google Pixel software off the internet. Or you can use Google Photos and let it automatically edit your photos.
The camera looks amazing and those modes are really cool and different. My only issue is it seems to brighten the images too much sometimes you don't want an image so drastically changed from how you see it and the difference is huge as it looks more like dusk than night time.

I have trust issue during this time of the year. Let's just say I don't believe those photos were shot using the P30 Pro or were shot on pitch black. If you check 1:55, no one was walking or standing on the background. The produced image had people in there, I believe it was shot in bright late afternoon. Take a look at the birds, too. Birds don't usually roam around at night. Just remember to pull the plug on April 2nd. 🤣
