I Love Moxkingjay Part 2 BUT Catching Fire is the best adaptation of the series, the first time I watched it I thought it was just as I imagined it while reading the books

Catching Fire somehow EXCEEDED my imagination - especially that incredible arena. BUT I was beyond shocked at one EXACT thing where my imagination came to fruition - HOW the HELL did the casting director know I imagined Jenna Malone as Johanna Mason. I had just watched Sucker Punch and literally thought she would be the perfect Johanna.

I liked the two movies because it REALLY told the story, a mean the District 5/ hanging tree scene and the explosion in D7 it showed the effects of the propos in the Districts, we didn't read it from the books, not even mentioned how the characters were affected psychological and in the revolution. I think they where great

I wasn't sold the first time I watched them. But I felt the same about the book tbh. Once I re-read it and rewatched the films, I thought mockingjay was just as good as the previous films

I agree. I feel like we could’ve gotten a bit more insight on the rebels and more dramatic scenes between tigress and snow so that her final line hits even harder in the second movie

Thank you so much for this I read the series for a month straight when I was pregnant with my second child my daughter now 13 and has now read the books . We binged the movies over Christmas break including the prequel and have completely bonded over this series . And crazy to think Jennifer now has a child of her own . So here I am falling in love with these characters all over again and binging videos on you tube . This is a gift seeing the director comment on some of the most heart wrenching scenes ❤ THG is a story for all ages

Thanks Josh our passion for cinema is very similar, thanks so much for this interview I really appreciate it! Francis is criminally underrated, Catching fire is a true masterpiece, it’s so great too hear Francis didn’t agree with splitting mocking jay into 2 parts. The pacing in those films were so off, due too the studio adding in forced filler. Wouldn’t it be great if the studio let him fix mockingjay by re editing it into 1 film, let’s get a petition going ha!

Personally The Ballads of Songbirds and Snake should've been split into 2. There were so many relevant scenes that would've driven the story and messages well if they had been included/given more emphasis. I love the movie but it felt rushed. It was a 3 part story shoved into 2 and a half hour movie

Great interview with Francis Lawrence. Watch a long I don't think it is a brilliant idea, you are ignoring the film, you are just talking to each other. Movies are born to be paid attention to Josh!!! You shouldn't encoursge people to talk in front of a screen, we have to put up with many assholes who do that in movie theaters for crying out loud!!! I totally enjoy audio commentaries on blue rays though.

The movie help facilitate where the talking goes. They can talk about it if they want to. Also no one is making you watch this. If it’s not your vibe you don’t have to stay.
