Actually in an interview, he mentioned he wasn't Thresh size when he got the role. So he had to put on some more muscle mass. He was already a huge guy but not as large as it said in the book. Also, he might not have been trained in hand to hand combat or weapon fights.
Hyperskreem 82 Yeah but honestly I have to agree with the guy. I’ve only seen these people once in my entire life and that was in a movie where they are bloodthirsty killers and even though we know it’s fake, we kinda still see them like that because that’s the only place we know them from. That’s like the best we can do since we know nothing about them and their personal lives, but you both have a point.
CBHere that’s like saying taking a risk and then thinking you will succeed but then shit hits the fan and then say they wasn’t unlucky because they knew what was getting into
The sickle is actually perfect for Thresh, because a sickle was originally used for harvesting crops for grain, and that's exactly what they do in District 11.
I remember how when they were getting ready in the Cornucopia, it looked as if everyone was ready to kill, while when they stopped filming everyone was just casually dancing on the spheres.
3:28 I don't know who is that little boy trying to challenge Thresh with a spear but he is brave... or stupid (I'm talking about the character, not the actor)
Galaxy Gamer 360 SAME!! clove is my fav cus I do knife throwing and foxface is also my favorite but she's my second. Katniss is third and mags is fourth, followed by johanna and enobaria at fifth and sixth :)
Dayo Okeniyi ( Thresh ) is an absolute legend. So is Amandla Stenberg ( Rue ). To be honest all these actors/actresses seem really hard working and cool.
I honestly thought Jacqueline Emerson was older than 17 when they shot the movie... But I really love Cato and Clove. I don't know if it's just me, but even though they're Careers, the District 1 tributes from both Games seemed pretty useless. In the book Glimmer missed Katniss completely when she was in the tree, Marvel just didn't seem to have any outstanding reason to like him (and no, I don't dislike him because he killed Rue, I just don't see any reason why he was better than the other unnamed tributes), Gloss stood there after he killed Wiress as though Katniss totally wasn't going to shoot him and he let his younger sister boss him around, and Cashmere seemed to believe that she could take out both Katniss and Johanna.
Really? I disagree, i loved it. It felt like you were actually there in a way. I loved Catching Fire, but was disappointed that it was filmed in a more conventional way.
