As someone who started with meat, quickly switched to candy to see how they differ and became unexpectedly immersed in candy and ended up reading all the way through it before returning to meat, I have to agree that reading candy first is probably the more interesting option. Though reading meat first is probably less confusing.

Either way it's going to be an extremely weird and painful experience. Hussie himself described the epilogues as a "cursed tome" that makes the reader question whether they actually wanted to open it in the first place.

So, about Gamzee, I've heard some interpretations that the thing that made him snap was learning via Cal that he's in a story. For me, his little speech when he gets out of the fridge basically confirms that for me, as he immediately apologizes and starts blandly listing off excuses for his behavior, even breaking the fourth wall to call it his redemption arc. OMG that old tootsie pop commercial! Thank you for reminding me about that! BTW, whoever's screen we were seeing had Steam notifications popping up for a bit there. WTF Jane is one of the big complaints about the epilogues. I'm sure Frozen is a good enough movie, but you really need to let it go.

I personally like Candy way more than Meat anyways. Sure it goes off the walls, but like. The new kids make it more enjoyable i'd say, especially once we eventually get to see what they look like
