I went out to the east coast of Florida in search catching my new PB Snakehead, and after 2 trips it paid off! Fishing for these invasive fish has quickly become one of my favorite fish to catch in Florida!

I agree with you on the spider wire. I’ve had some bad times with all spider wire I’ve ever used.

Yeah I religiously run Powerpro Superslick and it is pretty much the best thing ever

I’m Coral Springs born and raised.. you have to let him eat it. I know it’s hard at first but refrain from setting the hook for at least 1 to 2 seconds after they eat it. They have two sets of teeth in their mouth.

You need to wait a little longer to set up and when you do, rip that hookset like you're swinging for the fences or you'll lose a lot more than you catch.

they are invasive, fwc asks us not to rereleased them if caught. (i.e. leave it on the bank to die) but its not illegal to release it back into the water it was caught from.
@bigez954
@bigez954 3 месяца назад
You’re allowed to toss them back in the same body of water.

Nothing to worry about, perfectly legal to release them where caught.

NO, they aren't a very invasive fish. Don't spread false information.

@swkelley
@swkelley 2 месяца назад
@@fishinwithnik4385 no, I am not. I talked to an FWC fisheries biologist a few years back and he told me research has found they aren't the threat once believed, thus the reason why catch and release where caught is PEFECTLY LEGAL.
@fishinwithnik4385

@@swkelley no, they are invasive. Invasive means something spreading in a place it isn’t from. Snakeheads spread crazy and are aggressive, and arent supposed to be here
