The HVAC Filter Can Cause a Lot of Issues 

I prefer to avoid airflow restrictions by removing every filter I ever find 👍

That’s why electronic air cleaners are great, low airflow restriction and great filtration. The only thing that sucks about them is that they take longer to clean and dry when doing a maintenance rather than just swapping out a filter. And here in the Pacific Northwest, we get a lot of rainy days that makes it even harder to try and get the EAC cells dry.

Home owners and tenants get lured into buying "high filtration" air filters too easily. It is almost impossible to fight the marketing machine of big companies.

Good topic. I use the most basic pleated filter. Seems to do well for me. One of the hvac channels talked about recently the difference between thick and 1" filters and their effects. Seems to have a similar scenario.

Here's my comment and a hint/question: What ever happened with that YJ combustion analyzer you were giving away last year? Did that ever happen? As I remember it, the event where it was to be given was postponed and never resumed. Possibly Skilled Trade Up. Hint hint...
