When you freeze milk it’ll taste different. As it unfreezes you can shake the milk to kinda recombine it and fix it, but if it melts in good milk it’ll still make it taste off. If you use ice it just becomes a little diluted, maybe if you let the ice completely melt the milk will LOOK off, but it’ll taste completely fine. If i were to describe the taste of frozen milk uhhhhhhh A bland melted ice cream? ? ? Idk
The point is that, if you gonna drink it before the ice melt, which is the way ice makes your drink cooler, then just time it in the freezer. Put the cup in for 5-10min and drink it, you will have both a colder milk but without it being watered down. The ice will also melt a lot after 5-10 min anyway.
At one point in my life I used to drink milk as my main beverage of choice. The reason I stopped doing that is that I one time accidentally drank milk out of a cup that had water in it. It was so bad that I basically stopped drinking milk entirely after that.
I was gifted a dozen of “iron cubes” The idea is freezing it, and put it in Wash and reuse Don’t think that’s comparable with all water cubes But I think it works perfectly for this case
@@Juli-zy4ew milk powder is different. It is MEANT to be dissolved, therefore it tastes very similarly to normal milk (source: experience), but ice milk? Ice milk tastes like watered down, non acidic vomit (source: experience).
Are you leaving your glasses of milk out? Just drink it fast. It’s not like ice melts instantly. You’re making an irrelevant point unless you like to leave drinks out and forget about them. At that point, it’s you’re fault. It’ll be like crashing your car every god damn time you drive and then saying “driving is weird because I get hurt every time. That’s dangerous stuff.”
@@usernametaken017 what’s the problem? It’ll just taste like milk. Sure, it’s a complete waste of choccy milk, but it’s not a crime. You’re pulling hairs out for nothing.
Then Gadot goes, "Nah, man. No iced coffee. No decaf. Just pure espresso. Anything else is no good - it needs to be black... Like Trite's soul. The milk destroys it, and just leaves a bad taste in my mouth."
To counter that final argument That's the same as saying chicken cooked with spices and herbs is the same as spit roasting a chicken. One has components which make it taste better than just cooking a chicken without preperations.
I like how their only argument is "it's weird". I personally wouldn't do it, but their argument is incredibly flimsy. Also, ice isn't good in anything, it waters it down and you don't get as much drink. We have fridges for a reason, y'know?
Yeah, ice makes spoiled milk taste okay and totally worth the vomiting and diarrhea. I let my milk sit out until it's room temperature all the time just so it can spoil and I put ice in it. Same principle as putting moldy food in the freezer, cooling it down makes the horrible taste and life threatening illnesses bearable. /s
i've had ice in milk while eating hot cheetos, and it made the milk get the hot feeling out of my mouth better. this is my reasoning to say yes in the ice in milk argument. but i'm lactose intolerant so it's not like i'm drinking much milk anyway.
If you ever get used to milk that's from a refrigerator that isn't working right and makes the milk almost or partially frozen it will taste WARM from a correctly working fridge. That's why i sometimes add ice if i want to drink milk but not wait for it to cool in the freezer. It's been like 5 years since that fridge got replaced and it still feels warmer than it should be to me.
I used to put ice in milk but the reason was, half the time the milk was kinda on the verge of going off and adding ice made it colder (but not solid) which negated the sour taste. But we only did it because it was seen as really wasteful to not finish a gallon, yet when we got a smaller jug, it didn't last long enough so we'd have to go out and get milk again, spending MORE money. (At the time, it was like almost $3 a gallon, or 2 something for half, so even though that's not much it was just enough over budget to not fuck with) Never got sick from it somehow? Idk man. All I know is we put ice in the milk to make it taste better, and then when we left that area that weird taste was acknowledged as "eugh dump it out, it's gone over".
I suppose it depends on the type of milk, and how fast the ice melts. I could see this working with maybe full fat or semi-skimmed, but skimmed milk is already so watery that any dilution to it would really just make it water with a hint of milkiness.
@@Diego3Ke Right? I know full fat and semi-skimmed seem to be the most popular but there are a lot of people who do use fully skimmed milk as well, the idea of watering that down even more just does not sound appealing.
OK so I've actually thought about this lol. Milk + water is disgusting garbage, but milk + coffee is nice. The conclusion I came to was that the coffee binds the two together in a way that is not a crime
I drank water mixed with milk several times in kindergarten. We called it ghost water because the water got all foggy. Well, that was before I was enlightened and learned that all milk gross.
"I've heard some weird combinations of food like mac and cheese and ketchup" "Who eats that garbage? At least it's not pineapple on pizza" *Canada would like to know your location*
I remember seeing some sort of cube thing you fill with water and freeze, maybe that would stop the milk from watering down? Little ice cold plastic/rubber things
Aww I love milk with ice. One time I got my tooth remove, I wanted an Ice cream but I can't eat it so my mom gave me milk with ice TvT every time I get sick I always have milk with ice.
Gonna be honest gonna defend Phoenix on this one, you literally are just adding a flavourless liquid in solid form. Surprisingly enough this "water" does not change the taste. On downside, the consistency of the milk is decrease while the ice melts. So just don't get ice. In anything. Altogether.
Interesting. I always drank milk with ice on my local curry shop and I never thought much about it... It was the most delicious milk ever and even felt like they added sugar so that may had helped but ya know.
See ice and milk doesn’t work because unlike drinks like Pepsi, Coke, or lemonade, when ice melts in those drinks it doesn’t alter the flavor. In milk it does. I’ve tried it and it slowly becomes thinner and pretty weird tasting.
