Yes, he has and even he didn‘t manage to land on mains without bouncing, which I would consider meaningful 😂. Three-wheeler seems to be the answer. Haven‘t seen Adams (ModelAV8R) vid yet, though.
I honestly feel like Eflite should've released this with them old features 3 yrs ago. Pneumatic tyres have been on the xfly tasman and quick connect wings have been around along time. Many ppl have converted to 6s power years ago on their timbers. Ill probs buy one but my modifed Skynetic Byson will probably out perform it. I do love the yellow tho. Thanks for the review. U seem the most honest youtuber out there 👍🏾
You can get full span w 6 channel....run your ailerons on a y (1 channel) flaps on 2 channels then rudder on 1 elevator on 1 and throttle on 1 that's 6 channels....then set a mix on a switch to swap from flaps to full span you just can do crow....there's another way to do it with 2 y cables and mixing(it's in the timber x manual how to do it and set it up with programming but putting the ailerons on y cable is easiest way to do it if u ate limited to 6 channels
If SAFE is set correctly, it’ll put some down trim in the elevator so it’ll glide without stalling. It bounces because they moved the wheels forward to keep it from nosing over. Plus, you can’t land.. 😂
You might have converted me to an electric flyer. I wing tip stalled my piper cub 1/4 scale nitro in the pond the other day. Fixable crash literally just the wing tip damage and float mounts but that looks awesome for water and floats. I lost my runway so all my planes have been sitting if they don't have floats.
First time on channel and really enjoyed your video. You did a great job demonstrating and explaining the product. I’ve heard a lot about those planes and I would like to own one in the near future and have never flown any RC planes. What type of controller should I purchase? One last note although I own many apple products I find your comparison to the iPhone takes away from that plane more than it does add because Apple such a corrupt company making products that you can’t repair on your own or make it difficult because parts aren’t available. That’s my explanation for saying that. But I knew what you meant. I look forward to seeing more content. 👏🏻👏🏻👍
Such a great video Jay. So informative and succinct. Beautiful display of the flight characteristics of this beautiful new plane. And, YES keep up the video of your radio during the flying. Really, really helpful for us relative neewbies learning more advanced flying skills. Can’t wait for delivery of mine! 🎉
been following you on tiktok for I wanna say over a year? just found you on RU-vid!!! also how dare you take her to the swamP!!!!!!! hahaha I gotta have this plane!!!!! imma wait to see what the problems are first and esp curious about those clip in wings they dont seem super great?? wonder how they will hold up!!!
Hi, congratulations, nice video!! I agree with you, I also would have liked the inflatable wheels on the previous versions. In your opinion, can the wheels of this super timber be mounted on the first version of the timber or are they too heavy? Thanks for the reply.
It does have one design flaw: The main wheels are too close to each other, making it unstable on the ground. That was a bit dumb from EFlite. I suppose it can be fixed but it is still a miss.
Good video, first time watching... Do you have any recommendations for removing umx conscendo from up a 120' Douglas fir tree... Maybe a drone with a line and grapple hook?? I don't climb anymore at my age..
Ahhh man. The trees bite again lol. I don’t. If you have a drone it’s worth a shot. I’ve lost a drone to the tree trying that though. Wish I had some better advice for this. Hopefully a windy storm gets it down
Hey Jay I have to tell you I love the timbers but the timbers dont love me..I have 4 diff models and Ive crashed each of them. The all still fly but I think im cursed. I think each of my timbers are saying to me go ahead sucker get another one and well tell it to crash also..lol. A bit pricey so I sent a email to my HH in house contact asking when it will be able to ship before I invest. Idk what it is with me and the timbers but I dont think they like me much..lol
@@Jays_rcgarage all on landing for some reason, cg is spot on. idk but when I fix them they all fly great..very strange, but I will give this one another shot but I wont buy until its stock, just cant tie up the money until I know its shipping. My inside HH contact tells me end of May but I will wait. I get a good discount when I buy direct from him. idk if you have the BH B1 bomber? if so I do have some good questions for you bud. Im from PA I would love to come and meet you and fly with you bud. I think your from Jersey?? let me know bud!!
They discontinue planes just for this 😒, soon enough I’m gonna go onto horizon hobby to find a new plane to buy and it’s just going to be timbers, nothing cool or exotic
Horizon is ease of use. Legend Hobby for some scale warbirds. Elite aerosports for some composite turbines. HSD for some foamie turbines. Banggood for some 3 channel toys. ALL PREFERENCE! Shop where you love the models. I LIKE THEM ALL ❤️
Store RC plane still .... has NO high-end product, not even glass fiber enhance and high quality coating, far lag behind other sport gear. I just say it is all shit product. watch those carbon road-bike , recurve-bow, what did your got in your dream-plane??? nothing , it is shit as 5 year before, shit looking , shit new-tech-feature, shit fun, cheap shit price. and shit bigger size hard to fit in small car..... In 2024, what a marketing strategy.... I only guess you guys love the brands more than the sport Just watch custom build RC plane, more F1, more 2024, less bullshit
I dont think I have ever stayed with the stock BNF Rx on any Eflite bird over 1meter. Take this for example. 8 channels or go home: Crow, full span ailerons, lights. I can't stand to have all my lights come on just because I plug in a battery. I generally do 1 RX aux switch on the NAV/beacons, and 1 aux switch on the landing lights. That puts 2 light functions on separate channels. Seem extra? On a model of this size, absolutely, but oh so scale. Additionally, you would need to split the flaps and ailerons into separate channels for crow/full span ailerons/aileron droop. You can make these things use 10 channels with enough work!
Wow this is such a huge upgrade , quick connect wings and composite foam are my favorites. Cheyenne did a great job flying too. I wonder if horizon will sell different wings for different performance to make it like more planes in one.
You know you can fly down to 3.5v easy. Even 3.3 if you want. As long as you charge it after. You could probly get 10 min flights. Iv gotten 10 min in flex rv8 60e with a 6500. Didn't even get to lvc. And if you do hit lvc you'll still have enough time for an aborted landing
My 1st flight was great till I made my 4th landing as I touched down whole mounting plate with landing gear fell off no glue one pins and little glue was applied over yellow paint and flat tire. Other than that it flew great.
