The Whiskey A Go Go, The Viper Room, The Roxy and The Rainbow. These names are legendary in the music world! So many iconic bands have graced the stages inside or the bars alongside. Led Zeppelin, David Bowie, Mötley Crüe, Guns N Roses, AC/DC, Fleetwood Mac, The Doors, Oasis, Van Halen, KISS, Metallica, and SO many more, have all played iconic shows at one of these venues!
Not only have bands recorded live albums about these venues, there are songs actually written ABOUT some of them! The record contracts for David Bowie & Motley Crue were signed at the Rainbow. The Viper Room was famously owned by Johnny Depp and a nightclub for the biggest Hollywood celebrities & rockstars. Rainbow Bar & Grill was Motörhead's Lemmy Kilmister's favourite bar in the world and spent most his time off tour there - so much so they've immortalised his place at the bar with a plaque and added an awesome Lemmy statue! The Whiskey is so famous it has been a part of (or parodied) is many movies and video games - Like the 'Tequi-La-La' in San Andreas from the GTA game series!
