Titan fitness sells a loadable mace-- an empty steel ball with a threaded bung on a relatively short and thick shaft. It has a much different feel to it than the common mace bell style but it's not bad.
Could I get a similar enough workout with a weighted bar rather than a mace? I have a padded 10lb/4.5kg padded steel bar that I use for mace swings as well as staff movements and flow. I went with the bar because it was about half the price of a mace and I don’t have much money. Does the difference in weight distribution make enough of a difference that I should invest in a mace anyway? Because I can buy a 9 kilo bar for the same price as a 4.5 kilo mace.
