Hello. Surprised to see the three chickens too but they are lovely just wondering around. You have a voice for narrating; somehow it reminds me of the discovery channel. Thanks for the tour and the history of this town. Have fun filming!!!

Hi Paul this was lovely relaxed viewing over morning coffee 😃 The village is so beautiful and I loved the station and its tables and chairs on the platform, good that the buildings are protected there. The church was so beautiful and unique and again its good that this is also protected. Loved the singing birds all around as you walked and no wonder Queen Victoria loved the view near the monument when she visited, it was stunning. This was gorgeous and you had a lovely day to show it off 🙂👍~ Anna

Hi Anna, I'm glad you enjoyed the tour of Dalmally The station is certainly unique. The church was a pleasant surprise. I didn't quite know what to expect when I went for an explore but this is what I found. I sat at the monument for a wee while just relaxing and taking in the views. It was raining that morning but brightened up as the day went on. Thank you very much for taking time to watch. Have a great week 🙂👍Paul

Loved this one Paul. Dalmally looks a beautiful little place The Station must be the coolest in Britain!!! What a place to stay too. And the views form the bridge are beautiful but the views from the monument spectacular!! All the way around from Cruachan to Loch Awe isn’t it? Amazing mate

HI Dave, it's a lovely village. I actually stayed in the village for 6 days as my base to explore from. The station is pretty cool and unique. And yeah the views from the monument are onto Loch Awe and the Cruachan range of mountains. You can see Kilchurn castle in certain spots from the monument. I sat up there for quite a while just relaxing and taking those views in. It was very peaceful. Thanks very much for taking time to watch. Have a great week 👍🙂Paul

The first scene is quite charming and impressive.😍😍 The whole village is very nature-friendly and beautiful.👍👍 The first feeling I felt was like a forest village where a fairy would live... Until the sound of cars and motorcycles..^^; Thanks to you, I went on a trip to a wonderful place. Have a nice day.💖💖

This was quite a lovely village. I actually stayed in the village for 6 days as my base to explore from. Most people just drive thro the village without giving it a second thought. I'm glad you enjoyed the tour until the motorcycles killed the ambience. Thank you very much watching. Have a great week, my friend 🙂👍

Hi Paul, loved the quaint and quirky little station. Great to see the iconic red telephone box with the hens pottering about around it. The vegetation was so lush and vibrantly green. Oh my, sad to see the abandoned hotel. The church architecture was unique with its octagonal building. Such a beautiful setting. It was so nice to see bluebells beside the river. Gorgeous views from the bridge. A very enjoyable vlog from such a gorgeous part of the world ❤

Hi Julie and Lucy, the station is pretty unique and didn't expect to see hens just pottering around like that. In fact I didn't quite know what to expect when I started to explore the village. The church was a surprise and a lovely find. I'm glad most people ignore the village because it made it very hermit friendly. I actually stayed in the village for 6 days as my base to explore from. I'm glad you enjoyed the your. Thank you very much for taking time to watch. Have a great week 🙂👍Paul

Spent a couple days here in 1979. Pretty much the same. Walked to the monument on a gloomy, blustery day. Also went out to Kilchurn Castle. The woman at the B&B I was at told me her brother was the watchman at the site. It was clised for repair then, as it is now. But since his sister sent me, he let me inside and told me the history of the place. Home of clan Campbell if I recall. Thanks for jogging the old memories!

Hi Bill, I stayed here for 6 days and thoroughly enjoyed it. I did take a quick look around Kilchurn Castle after hiking the 2 Munros nearby but you're right it had scaffold around it. The tour of the castle sounds awesome being let inside and then being told the history. There are not many people who will have had the privilege. I'm pleased the video stirred some good memories and I stayed at the monument for quite a while taking in the peaceful views. Thank you very much for watching and dropping me a comment. All the best, Paul

Superb video Paul, well worthy of the 61 likes you got during the premiere. Hope the hacking bots get sorted soon. Amazing place that we would be unaware of otherwise, great quality, narration and insight into an overlooked part of Scotland ❤ 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

Ha ha not sure about the 61 likes as it's now more like reversed those numbers. My last 2 videos got like 2 lots of loads of overnight suggested video views in the space of a few minutes from no extra impressions and 0s watch time so the graphs now start at like around 75% instead of close of 100% like all my others. I thought someone had it in for me or something as that will have knock on effects for those videos. Anyway I'll just keep plugging away. As for Dalmally most people just drive through on the way to Oban etc. Then again that made the place very hermit friendly. Dalmally was my base for 6 days on this trip and may stay there again next year. I'm glad you enjoyed the mooch around and my babbling. Thank you very much for coming along for the premiere. Have a great week 🙂👍Paul

@@TheHikingHermit thanks Paul, great video as always and thank you for highlighting places we would love to visit in such an engaging way. Its a shame about the youtube hacking bots at the moment. Not sure what there end game is, the only minor comfort im getting is everyone is suffering them equally. Im sure they will sort it soon…

@@GENerationXplorers well at least I now know someone might not have it in for me then if everyone is suffering glitches. I keep getting complimented on my narration from quite a few people. Maybe I shouldn't appear in my videos as they don't do as good as my narration ones 🤣

@@TheHikingHermit come on now Paul, your narration is worldclass, all that is genuine from every camp. Its the zillion 0 second views and likes we get from Russian bots that is taking us all down, including the platform at the moment. Id personally like to take David Attenborough down and Russian bot his producers to only hear your voice from now on.. Blue Planet is more like Dead Planet without your narration ♥️
@TheHikingHermit

@@GENerationXplorers at least the bots have it in for everyone as you say. I never knew I had a talent for narration. Someone just commented my voice reminded them of the Discovery channel. At least I'm learning new things about myself and other subjects coming on RU-vid 🙂
