This is the guy that discovered Homo Naledi I believe. He would be great to host a series on human evolution. He's very accomplished and has a great presentation style.
He's been hosting human evolution series for a while. Not the initial discoverer, but he led the expeditions and explorations for Homo naledi AND Australopithecus sediba. Excellent speaker, scientist and teacher. His style of open sharing of scientific discovery is brilliant and groundbreaking (no pun intended)
How were you able to know that the hair found in the coprolite was from a hominid? Is it possible that you will be able to test it further? Gain some DNA or protein information?
Late answer, I know; You can look at the shape of the small, small scales you can see on the hair strands surface, and you can identify nearly ANY animal studying it. And, if you look at a cross section of a hair, the diameter and shape (like oval etc) tells you even more. It is a very fascinating science. I have a relative that is a forensic scientist, and I asked him. He also said that it doesn't matter if it is a fossil or not if you only need to identify what species the hair comes from, while in criminal cases the DNA is everything...
