Incredible! I saw the Crown Jewels in the Tower of London! But to have this crown explained by the Queen is indeed remarkable! I love it when she says, "...Granny's chips..." in describing the Cullinan diamond collection. I've read about this description many times. However, hearing the Queen say it, and say it with such ease and lack of pretense is extraordinary! Thank you for posting!

Such beautiful jewels. I've visited the tower of London and like Queen Victoria's little crown the best. I've seen the Scottish crown jewels at Edinburgh castle too, but they weren't quite as impressive although it was nice to see the stone of scone (if it truly is the real one they have there)

This is incredible to actually have Her Majesty explain the Imperial State Crown! It is an impressive thing to see at the Tower but now it means so much more after hearing her tales of the various stones. And I can believe that Queen Mary refered to the other diamonds as "the chips"! LOL!

I believe this is an extract from a lavish BBC series called 'Royal Heritage' The opening scene shows Windsor Castle to the moving strains of 'Zadok the Priest'. It's not available on DVD or video.

@BillDFC Its nonsense, HM The Queen reserves the right by way of her royal prerogative to dictate how she wishes to be styled and addressed, consequently she chose that she would be known as Elizabeth II. This is her right. By order in council HM has decreed that in future, if for example Scotland had an Edward V but England only an Edward I, then as the Edward V is higher, the next in line would be Edward VI. So, by that convention she chose to be the second Elizabeth.

@JVL8701 -Perhaps you mean Commonwealth Community. To the best of my knowledge there does not exist such a country as "Commenwealth",and should you be American,then may I say that there are few bloodier than British and others.

She is actually Queen Elzabeth the first of Great Britain,just as Edward V11 was Edward 1 of Great Britain. The English continue to number their monarchs as if the have always ruled Britain. Scotland,as usual,is ignored. We will not forget.

England is in fact a financial oligarchy run by the "Crown" which refers to the "City of London" not the Queen. The City of London is run by the Bank of England, a private corporation. The square-mile-large City is a sovereign state located in the heart of greater London. As the "Vatican of the financial world," the City is not subject to British law

I remember taking my oath to serve for this lady, 6 fucking years in the NZ Army, yet im not even able to live in England with my son. Royal family have lost there ways
