If you are looking to go off-road with a mobility scooter you need to balance stability with good ground clearance. Seen here are the three-wheeled Tramper TWS and the four-wheeled Tramper. The former has 5 inches and the latter, being more stable, more planted, with four wheels, 6.5 inches. You'll see how close I was running to the GoPro, until the ground rose up to meet it with the TWS. Good fun and no damage done.
Other popular, more hybrid, mobility scooters with good ground clearance are the TGA Breeze S4 (known as the Afikim S4 in the USA) 6 inches, and the TGA Supersport (Afikim SE in the USA) at 5 inches.
