good passer, composed, perfect complement to partey. most of our final third passes are from xhaka and hes been playing from midfield or even in LCB/LB position when tierney storms through the left flank. has leadership, commanding and also a role model to the players in the dressing room. he will make fouls and take a yellow for the team when opposition team is getting into dangerous areas. was fc basel's captain at such a young age, is switzerland's captain and been a captain at arsenal under 3 different managers.hes literally the machine in our midfield alongside partey.

Our attack were VERY wasteful that season. Granit is a special player. Not many people give him credit because he's not scoring 20 goals a season and bagging 15 assists. He's more than that though, he's our rhythm and our consistency.

I always say that Xhaka is our most important player not best but definitely he is pivotal, he plays every game and is the leader of this team if you’ve been to a game you know this. The left side dominance is mainly due to him , yes he can make mistakes but it seems like he has to be perfect to get praise when others do the bare minimum and get lauded.

He came and got 2 utterly undeserved red cards that season and some fans were slagging him off (probably listening to what Paul Merson had to say)! He is a leader and passionate. Has Xhaka got weak points??? Hell, yes!!! But like everybody else, he’s not perfect! But you’ve got to give him credit for playing every minute on all 4 competitions that Arsenal are involved. we can take a note of our players technique from xhaka's long passes here, pepe tend to controlled it by chest, saka tend to controlled it by foot, tierney tend to let it running with him, bellerin tend to took a first time cross or pass.

The best way to utilize Xhaka would be to play him further up the pitch and let Partey drop deep. That way, his lack of pace and agility would not cause as much problems as it would if he played deeper. Plus, his passing is really underrated (see his positioning and pass at 4:15) and his long shots are probably the best in the EPL.

We were called very soft team lacking cojones in not to distant past so he has been a steel and consistent performer in midfield ,besides occasional mishaps he definetly is a good midfielder with 🔨 of left foot with occasional thuderbolt in the locker .

His only mistake is, people compare him....with former players and legends...an unfair thing BECAUSE HE CAN ONLY BE HIM. A great player, great passion and leadership...look at him in the Switzerland team. He is immense with the right players around him. I've always been Xhaka's BIGGEST fan particularly since Arteta took over as manager because ever since then, Xhaka has been absolutely immense. One of the most important players on the team and consistently playing well. Watching this video has made me respect and love him even more!! It's a shame because I don't think he's getting the recognition and praise he deserves. He's soo underrated and one of the best players in world football in his position. Also, we have to acknowledge his professionalism and attitude after being booed off the pitch that time at the emirates and losing the captain's armband too.

I am a lifelong Arsenal fan and admit to having wanted Xhaka out of the club. He divides opinions for sure. What I have come to realize is that he is willing to do any and everything that the team/coach needs. Perhaps he has even sacrificed his "true" role in playing for the club. At the national level, he has more freedom to play whereas at Arsenal he plays in a role closer to a traditional 6. The problem with Granit is that he can be hotheaded and reckless, often costing the team with his rash decisions and aggression. This season, he seems to have matured and that has benefited the team.

I never understood why Xhaka is never appreciated and under rated... I have always rated him as a player worthy of playing for any top clubs..There are very few players who can shoot those long balls as accurately as him.. His long balls are just mesmerizing.. It's always been very simple for me with what you expect from him, I never expected him to be a great defensive player, but a player who can just switch plays in seconds with his vision, very lethal for counter attacks and of course his goals from outside the box every now and then.. M happy he's been offered a new contract..

Hahahahhahaha always look forward best joke of my life. In this video we probably saw all his forward passes in over 5000 played minutes over 2 seasons. 90% of the times when he has the opportunity to play it forward he does a cutback and pass the ball sideways or backwards. That’s his biggest problem he is to slow in the build up of the game. Doesn’t score or assist goals either so really he doesn’t offer that much more than a couple occasional forward passes.

@@jonathanewald4183 When he doesn't play Arsenal have zero possession. The problem is we can't decide whether we want slow possession based football or fast counter attacking football. Xhaka plays best under a possession based team where he can get the time and space to find the forward pass. Even Xavi struggled under Rikjaard because it wasn't possession based tiki taka. Wrong system for the wrong players = bad results. We started playing more possession football less counter attacking and Aubamayeng started losing space to use his speed rendering him useless.

Xhaka is an amazing player, watch him play for Switzerland, but he’s at the wrong club. Arsenal is the club that failed top players like Ozil and Aubameyang, failed Mustafi (those who saw him play for Germany and Valencia know he was a great defender) and now Xhaka had a hard time with fans booing him. Arsenal fans were frustrated with the lack of urgency in our play. Unfortunately, Xhaka was the focal point of that… he (like Luiz) likes the ball at his feet and usually takes a few touches looking for the right pass. Allows the opposition to get back into shape IMO. That’s why people like ESR… the ball is moved much quicker.

This may sound weird to some folks, but i think the arrival of Partey has had an influence on his style of play. He looks like a more solid commanding midfielder as well as more forward thinking now, reduces mistakes significantly since he knows doing so will put his position at stake and particulary against France, he was playing some productive defence-splitting and line-breaking passes as well as some feints and techniques that implies improvements in games recently. But all in all, Xhaka is an inspiring figure on the field of play in more than just a single way.

I am a right footed player, but I am making most of those passes with my weak left. The amount of time he has to play those and also given none of them are super accurate

@@kronikevaporation6007 If you can play those passes with your weak left foot and faster than Xhaka... What is your agent doing? Why doesn’t he get as quickly, as you can distribute long passes, in touch with Arsenal?? We could do with an Iniesta like yourself?! I expect to see you playing for Arsenal in September

@@scorpionsrock1511 you understand the meaning of "most"? More than half of those passes are ordinary free mundane passes in the most comfortable of situations. Go out in the sun instead of sitting on your couch and pretending to know the game mate, you got it too.

@@archielive2566 Me talking about me isnt boasting about me, (I am trash), but its criticizing Xhaka's passing ability. He has good ocassional long balls in him, but he needs the longest time and the widest space to execute it.

I always backed this guy. Even when throwing the armband on the ground I stood by him. I knew people would eventually see him for the talent he is. Look at his delivery even from a deep position... Our attack were so wasteful that season. Yet he copped most of the blame

The difference when he plays instead of el neny is incredible , even ceballos sometimes , just unfortunate he’s prone to self inflicted errors that can cost us games. He’d be such a good player if he was better defensively and better disciplined.

Arsenal need good DMF, so xhaka will be useful. We have partey and elneny but their performance incosistent

Xhaka is world class, I still think he should not be used a lot in deeper positions in the midfield because he is prone to errors!!! He should not be criticized as much please. Even this year, he has shown his class again!!!
