We don't have bees but we have someone that puts hives out in our neighbors alfalfa field we see many many bees collecting on our farm and drinking around our pond or dugouts. I am so excited about starting a medical garden and watching for the bees to find it . I would love to have bees but it really seem like a lot of work and if I can have all the plants here for the other guys bees that makes me happy

You know how we came to love bees. However right after our house fire we rescued a dog that later ran away and was by our best guess hit by a combine. 4 days after he ran away we found him laying next to our shed with his back legs ripped down to the bone. He had drug himself home. It was gangrenous and exposed a lot of the bone. We immediately took him to the vet and had very little money. They even talked about amputation. Believe it or not the vet had us spray his leg with Luke warm water 3x a day and let dry a little then spray with honey that was thinned with a touch of water. We seen a difference in 3 days!!!! The skin was finally getting pink and starting to close. He made a complete recovery!!!!! Honey is absolutely amazing 😍🐝❤️🐝!!!!!!

Amazing project you are involved in. For me, my Bees are a hobby that I am hopefully working towards being self sufficient and not having to buy any other queens or hives. We do enjoy the honey, but more and more I feel like that is just a reward. Honeybees are truly one of Gods amazing creations.

I got into bees about 10 years ago as a backyard keeper for the pollination. I've had up to 15 colonies in my suburban eatable landscape backyard. Some years I don't even collect the honey as I get way more than I can use personally. I do sell some occasionally when I have a big surplus. In fact, I may partake of some of my last batch of mead.

Loved the video and how well you explained it and the way you came across, saying why you got into keeping bees and how you are today, O and by the way I love the ear rings, here in Ireland our bee's are black called "Apis Mellifera Mellifera" a native honey bee, but under threat due to hybridisation with foreign strains of honey bee. I love watching them fly on a wet day,s as the rain falls, and can fly at low temperatures too, but anyway getting back to your video, thanks very much for the time and effort you put into these videos to explain to all about these wonderful animals, as they all work together for each others survival. THANKS👍👍.

Thank you for making this awesome and inspiring video! I live down in Southern California in a town home and have always wanted bees since i was 10. Ive never had the chance to have a garden or bees but always dreamed of moving somewhere we could have a little homestead. In a couple months my partner and i will be moving up to Washington state to start our new journey , but current world events had gotten me shooken up and almost regretting and terrified for this life long dream I’ve had. Which I know sounds crazy. Anyways, this video really calmed me down and re focused my mind. Thank you, really appreciate all your videos!

Maybe a stupid question. I know honeybees from neighbor in Germany wich I helped when I was a teenager. Now I see bees in Thailand wich seems smaller more agile and really gentle (even near a hive they come more to check you out and collect your minerals from your sweaty skin) Is a wild honeybee a honeybee and can be collected and treaded as any other? They make wonderful dark flowery fruity honey with a hint of pine. But people here hunt the hives down and gut them.

These pigs ..... :o) :o) :o) regarding bees: unfortunately - and I presume the situation in the US is similiar to Europe - there is a diminishing variety in vegetation as "industrial farming" focuses on a very limited selection of plants. In central Europe you can drive for hours and you won't se a single place were wild flowers would be able to grow. Same with our forests: to endorse easy and economic harvesting you will find only one or species of trees over tens, sometimes hundreds of kilometres. The impact on bees and insects in general is devastating.

Is it true without bees pollenating the flowers we wouldn't have air. Cause the plants gives us air.. I could be wrong. Thought I heard that somewhere

I appreciate your comments on the importance of bees to your garden, but I assure you mine never got the memo. I average around 20 hives on my 50 acres and it is only during the summer dearth that I see many bees in my kitchen garden. Too many wild nectar sources in competition with my meager 1/4 acre of garden. Earlier this year the bees had to fly through my apple orchard to get to their favorite....wild cherry. Did they stop and visit an apple blossom....not many. As I tell new bee keepers, bees don't read. Bees do what they want, when they want and how they want and if that doesn't fit your program, so sad. I love keeping honey bees, but don't put a lot of stock in their role for pollination of gardens unless that is the only nectar source around. At the moment we have fields of black raspberries coming into bloom, so I don't expect to see the bees hanging around my garden. While our native pollinators are much in evidence, my honey bees are AWOL.
