We're not taught how to manage and express our emotions when we are intuitive and highly observant individuals. However, we make adjustments to fit in and then end up betraying ourselves. Eventually we turn 50 and say F*&k em!! Love your hair girl!

As a fellow Cancer, I completely empathize with this. We have a lot of love to give and that has to come with reciprocity or else you get drained really quick. I coped with it by keeping almost everyone at arm's length, because 9 time out of 10, I know people will let me down. I'm so glad you've found your people, but I know it has to be tough being a sensitive person in the public eye.

I think I will probably replay this over and over. I can longer afford the cost of adjusting who I am to appease others. I weep for my younger self because this was my experience and I just didn’t get why the world responded to me the way it did. I’m angry because I feel like I was robbed of my magic. I could say much more but In short you’re not alone Amanda and now we know neither are we.

love this! i have all my journals dating back to '94. I'm in the process of transcribing them. It's wild to see how much I suppressed myself through the years. an intellectual and deep thinker even at 11. I tried to hide that to fit in through the years but in my 40s now i feel most comfortable with myself and how I'm evolving in this stage of my life.

I remember when I met you. You interviewed for a hosting job. You gave it to the producers, by educating them because they made an ignorant comment. I was the receptionist and they were so racist but that made my day, I was like yassssssss! Later on, I saw you at an event and gave you your props 💪🏾

We been too much since birth !!!! Cancer sun. Leo rising. Moon in gemini. My teachers always said i was s pleasure when i wasnt singing n dancing lol ... born in dc raised between bronx n maryland lol😂😂😂😂 i hated living in an apt still do !!!! I like the house vibe ! I missed it from my home in dc lol 😂😂😂😂 i came to nyc like why ppl live on top of each other n stairs outside the home. Tf😑😑😑😑😑😏

You have to take what Pink Book Lessons says with a grain of salt. Some are good points but most are not. She hates women especially black woman for some reason. She will never talk about a professional white woman who made a mistake but will only talk about a poor and ghetto white woman’s downfall. However, she gives it to any black woman in all shape, sizes, and pay scale

You cape too much for a community of people who aren't interested in being saved. Your voice comes across as borderline bullying and too preachy. Ebony Williams faces a similar image problem. You should invite her on your show.
