Narrated Abu Hurairah (RA): Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said, "When Allah completed the creation, He wrote in His Book which is with Him on His Throne, "My Mercy overpowers My Anger." (Sahih al-Bukhari 3194, Book 59, Hadith 5)
78:1 عَمَّ يَتَسَآءَلُونَ ١ What are they asking one another about? 78:2 عَنِ ٱلنَّبَإِ ٱلْعَظِيمِ ٢ About the momentous news, 78:3 ٱلَّذِى هُمْ فِيهِ مُخْتَلِفُونَ ٣ over which they disagree. 78:4 كَلَّا سَيَعْلَمُونَ ٤ But no! They will come to know. 78:5 ثُمَّ كَلَّا سَيَعْلَمُونَ ٥ Again, no! They will come to know. 78:6 أَلَمْ نَجْعَلِ ٱلْأَرْضَ مِهَـٰدًۭا ٦ Have We not smoothed out the earth ˹like a bed˺, 78:7 وَٱلْجِبَالَ أَوْتَادًۭا ٧ and ˹made˺ the mountains as ˹its˺ pegs, 78:8 وَخَلَقْنَـٰكُمْ أَزْوَٰجًۭا ٨ and created you in pairs, 78:9 وَجَعَلْنَا نَوْمَكُمْ سُبَاتًۭا ٩ and made your sleep for rest, 78:10 وَجَعَلْنَا ٱلَّيْلَ لِبَاسًۭا ١٠ and made the night as a cover, 78:11 وَجَعَلْنَا ٱلنَّهَارَ مَعَاشًۭا ١١ and made the day for livelihood, 78:12 وَبَنَيْنَا فَوْقَكُمْ سَبْعًۭا شِدَادًۭا ١٢ and built above you seven mighty ˹heavens˺, 78:13 وَجَعَلْنَا سِرَاجًۭا وَهَّاجًۭا ١٣ and placed ˹in them˺ a shining lamp, 78:14 وَأَنزَلْنَا مِنَ ٱلْمُعْصِرَٰتِ مَآءًۭ ثَجَّاجًۭا ١٤ and sent down from rainclouds pouring water, 78:15 لِّنُخْرِجَ بِهِۦ حَبًّۭا وَنَبَاتًۭا ١٥ producing by it grain and ˹various˺ plants, 78:16 وَجَنَّـٰتٍ أَلْفَافًا ١٦ and dense orchards? 78:17 إِنَّ يَوْمَ ٱلْفَصْلِ كَانَ مِيقَـٰتًۭا ١٧ Indeed, the Day of ˹Final˺ Decision is an appointed time- 78:18 يَوْمَ يُنفَخُ فِى ٱلصُّورِ فَتَأْتُونَ أَفْوَاجًۭا ١٨ ˹it is˺ the Day the Trumpet will be blown, and you will ˹all˺ come forth in crowds. 78:19 وَفُتِحَتِ ٱلسَّمَآءُ فَكَانَتْ أَبْوَٰبًۭا ١٩ The sky will be ˹split˺ open, becoming ˹many˺ gates, 78:20 وَسُيِّرَتِ ٱلْجِبَالُ فَكَانَتْ سَرَابًا ٢٠ and the mountains will be blown away, becoming ˹like˺ a mirage. 78:21 إِنَّ جَهَنَّمَ كَانَتْ مِرْصَادًۭا ٢١ Indeed, Hell is lying in ambush 78:22 لِّلطَّـٰغِينَ مَـَٔابًۭا ٢٢ as a home for the transgressors, 78:23 لَّـٰبِثِينَ فِيهَآ أَحْقَابًۭا ٢٣ where they will remain for ˹endless˺ ages. 78:24 لَّا يَذُوقُونَ فِيهَا بَرْدًۭا وَلَا شَرَابًا ٢٤ There they will not taste any coolness or drink, 78:25 إِلَّا حَمِيمًۭا وَغَسَّاقًۭا ٢٥ except boiling water and ˹oozing˺ pus- 78:26 جَزَآءًۭ وِفَاقًا ٢٦ a fitting reward. 78:27 إِنَّهُمْ كَانُوا۟ لَا يَرْجُونَ حِسَابًۭا ٢٧ For they never expected any reckoning, 78:28 وَكَذَّبُوا۟ بِـَٔايَـٰتِنَا كِذَّابًۭا ٢٨ and totally rejected Our signs. 78:29 وَكُلَّ شَىْءٍ أَحْصَيْنَـٰهُ كِتَـٰبًۭا ٢٩ And We have everything recorded precisely. 78:30 فَذُوقُوا۟ فَلَن نَّزِيدَكُمْ إِلَّا عَذَابًا ٣٠ ˹So the deniers will be told,˺ “Taste ˹the punishment˺, for all you will get from Us is more torment.” 78:31 إِنَّ لِلْمُتَّقِينَ مَفَازًا ٣١ Indeed, the righteous will have salvation- 78:32 حَدَآئِقَ وَأَعْنَـٰبًۭا ٣٢ Gardens, vineyards, 78:33 وَكَوَاعِبَ أَتْرَابًۭا ٣٣ and full-bosomed maidens of equal age, 78:34 وَكَأْسًۭا دِهَاقًۭا ٣٤ and full cups ˹of pure wine˺, 78:35 لَّا يَسْمَعُونَ فِيهَا لَغْوًۭا وَلَا كِذَّٰبًۭا ٣٥ never to hear any idle talk or lying therein- 78:36 جَزَآءًۭ مِّن رَّبِّكَ عَطَآءً حِسَابًۭا ٣٦ a ˹fitting˺ reward as a generous gift from your Lord, 78:37 رَّبِّ ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ وَمَا بَيْنَهُمَا ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِ ۖ لَا يَمْلِكُونَ مِنْهُ خِطَابًۭا ٣٧ the Lord of the heavens and the earth and everything in between, the Most Compassionate. No one will dare speak to Him 78:38 يَوْمَ يَقُومُ ٱلرُّوحُ وَٱلْمَلَـٰٓئِكَةُ صَفًّۭا ۖ لَّا يَتَكَلَّمُونَ إِلَّا مَنْ أَذِنَ لَهُ ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنُ وَقَالَ صَوَابًۭا ٣٨ on the Day the ˹holy˺ spirit and the angels will stand in ranks. None will talk, except those granted permission by the Most Compassionate and whose words are true. 78:39 ذَٰلِكَ ٱلْيَوْمُ ٱلْحَقُّ ۖ فَمَن شَآءَ ٱتَّخَذَ إِلَىٰ رَبِّهِۦ مَـَٔابًا ٣٩ That Day is the ˹ultimate˺ truth. So let whoever wills take the path leading back to their Lord. 78:40 إِنَّآ أَنذَرْنَـٰكُمْ عَذَابًۭا قَرِيبًۭا يَوْمَ يَنظُرُ ٱلْمَرْءُ مَا قَدَّمَتْ يَدَاهُ وَيَقُولُ ٱلْكَافِرُ يَـٰلَيْتَنِى كُنتُ تُرَٰبًۢا ٤٠ Indeed, We have warned you of an imminent punishment-the Day every person will see ˹the consequences of˺ what their hands have done, and the disbelievers will cry, “I wish I were dust.”
I'm a Nigerian, I've been taught Arabic ever since I was 7 as I grew older and changed schools the methods changed and my learning decelerated. I can still understand and speak but I don't consider myself fluent. I'm still learning and learning never stops. May Allah make it easy for all of us. Edit: In Nigeria there's a method of writing a Hausa language in Arabic "عجمى", it's still in our currency and we learnt it in school as a means of communication. It's sad that English is taking over it all and some people are even fighting to remove those Arabic letters from our currencies and some mottos on some universities and the government, their reason "Islamophobia"! Rakaat 2: 79:1 وَٱلنَّـٰزِعَـٰتِ غَرْقًۭا ١ By those [angels] who extract with violence 79:2 وَٱلنَّـٰشِطَـٰتِ نَشْطًۭا ٢ And [by] those who remove with ease 79:3 وَٱلسَّـٰبِحَـٰتِ سَبْحًۭا ٣ And [by] those who glide [as if] swimming 79:4 فَٱلسَّـٰبِقَـٰتِ سَبْقًۭا ٤ And those who race each other in a race 79:5 فَٱلْمُدَبِّرَٰتِ أَمْرًۭا ٥ And those who arrange [each] matter, 79:6 يَوْمَ تَرْجُفُ ٱلرَّاجِفَةُ ٦ On the Day the blast [of the Horn] will convulse [creation], 79:7 تَتْبَعُهَا ٱلرَّادِفَةُ ٧ There will follow it the subsequent [one]. 79:8 قُلُوبٌۭ يَوْمَئِذٍۢ وَاجِفَةٌ ٨ Hearts, that Day, will tremble, 79:9 أَبْصَـٰرُهَا خَـٰشِعَةٌۭ ٩ Their eyes humbled. 79:10 يَقُولُونَ أَءِنَّا لَمَرْدُودُونَ فِى ٱلْحَافِرَةِ ١٠ They are [presently] saying, "Will we indeed be returned to [our] former state [of life]? 79:11 أَءِذَا كُنَّا عِظَـٰمًۭا نَّخِرَةًۭ ١١ Even if we should be decayed bones?" 79:12 قَالُوا۟ تِلْكَ إِذًۭا كَرَّةٌ خَاسِرَةٌۭ ١٢ They say, "That, then, would be a losing return." 79:13 فَإِنَّمَا هِىَ زَجْرَةٌۭ وَٰحِدَةٌۭ ١٣ Indeed, it will be but one shout, 79:14 فَإِذَا هُم بِٱلسَّاهِرَةِ ١٤ And suddenly they will be [alert] upon the earth's surface. 79:15 هَلْ أَتَىٰكَ حَدِيثُ مُوسَىٰٓ ١٥ Has there reached you the story of Moses? - 79:16 إِذْ نَادَىٰهُ رَبُّهُۥ بِٱلْوَادِ ٱلْمُقَدَّسِ طُوًى ١٦ When his Lord called to him in the sacred valley of Ṭuwā, 79:17 ٱذْهَبْ إِلَىٰ فِرْعَوْنَ إِنَّهُۥ طَغَىٰ ١٧ "Go to Pharaoh. Indeed, he has transgressed. 79:18 فَقُلْ هَل لَّكَ إِلَىٰٓ أَن تَزَكَّىٰ ١٨ And say to him, 'Would you [be willing to] purify yourself 79:19 وَأَهْدِيَكَ إِلَىٰ رَبِّكَ فَتَخْشَىٰ ١٩ And let me guide you to your Lord so you would fear [Him]?'" 79:20 فَأَرَىٰهُ ٱلْـَٔايَةَ ٱلْكُبْرَىٰ ٢٠ And he showed him the greatest sign, 79:21 فَكَذَّبَ وَعَصَىٰ ٢١ But he [i.e., Pharaoh] denied and disobeyed. 79:22 ثُمَّ أَدْبَرَ يَسْعَىٰ ٢٢ Then he turned his back, striving [i.e., plotting]. 79:23 فَحَشَرَ فَنَادَىٰ ٢٣ And he gathered [his people] and called out. 79:24 فَقَالَ أَنَا۠ رَبُّكُمُ ٱلْأَعْلَىٰ ٢٤ And said, "I am your most exalted lord." 79:25 فَأَخَذَهُ ٱللَّهُ نَكَالَ ٱلْـَٔاخِرَةِ وَٱلْأُولَىٰٓ ٢٥ So Allāh seized him in exemplary punishment for the last and the first [transgression].. 79:26 إِنَّ فِى ذَٰلِكَ لَعِبْرَةًۭ لِّمَن يَخْشَىٰٓ ٢٦ Indeed in that is a lesson [i.e., warning] for whoever would fear [Allāh]. 79:27 ءَأَنتُمْ أَشَدُّ خَلْقًا أَمِ ٱلسَّمَآءُ ۚ بَنَىٰهَا ٢٧ Are you a more difficult creation or is the heaven? He [i.e., Allāh] constructed it. 79:28 رَفَعَ سَمْكَهَا فَسَوَّىٰهَا ٢٨ He raised its ceiling and proportioned it. 79:29 وَأَغْطَشَ لَيْلَهَا وَأَخْرَجَ ضُحَىٰهَا ٢٩ And He darkened its night and extracted its brightness. 79:30 وَٱلْأَرْضَ بَعْدَ ذَٰلِكَ دَحَىٰهَآ ٣٠ And after that He spread the earth. 79:31 أَخْرَجَ مِنْهَا مَآءَهَا وَمَرْعَىٰهَا ٣١ He extracted from it its water and its pasture, 79:32 وَٱلْجِبَالَ أَرْسَىٰهَا ٣٢ And the mountains He set firmly 79:33 مَتَـٰعًۭا لَّكُمْ وَلِأَنْعَـٰمِكُمْ ٣٣ As enjoyment [i.e., provision] for you and your grazing livestock. 79:34 فَإِذَا جَآءَتِ ٱلطَّآمَّةُ ٱلْكُبْرَىٰ ٣٤ But when there comes the greatest Overwhelming Calamity - 79:35 يَوْمَ يَتَذَكَّرُ ٱلْإِنسَـٰنُ مَا سَعَىٰ ٣٥ The Day when man will remember that for which he strove, 79:36 وَبُرِّزَتِ ٱلْجَحِيمُ لِمَن يَرَىٰ ٣٦ And Hellfire will be exposed for [all] those who see - 79:37 فَأَمَّا مَن طَغَىٰ ٣٧ So as for he who transgressed 79:38 وَءَاثَرَ ٱلْحَيَوٰةَ ٱلدُّنْيَا ٣٨ And preferred the life of the world, 79:39 فَإِنَّ ٱلْجَحِيمَ هِىَ ٱلْمَأْوَىٰ ٣٩ Then indeed, Hellfire will be [his] refuge. 79:40 وَأَمَّا مَنْ خَافَ مَقَامَ رَبِّهِۦ وَنَهَى ٱلنَّفْسَ عَنِ ٱلْهَوَىٰ ٤٠ But as for he who feared the position of his Lord and prevented the soul from [unlawful] inclination, 79:41 فَإِنَّ ٱلْجَنَّةَ هِىَ ٱلْمَأْوَىٰ ٤١ Then indeed, Paradise will be [his] refuge. 79:42 يَسْـَٔلُونَكَ عَنِ ٱلسَّاعَةِ أَيَّانَ مُرْسَىٰهَا ٤٢ They ask you, [O Muḥammad], about the Hour: when is its arrival? 79:43 فِيمَ أَنتَ مِن ذِكْرَىٰهَآ ٤٣ In what [position] are you that you should mention it? 79:44 إِلَىٰ رَبِّكَ مُنتَهَىٰهَآ ٤٤ To your Lord is its finality. 79:45 إِنَّمَآ أَنتَ مُنذِرُ مَن يَخْشَىٰهَا ٤٥ You are only a warner for those who fear it. 79:46 كَأَنَّهُمْ يَوْمَ يَرَوْنَهَا لَمْ يَلْبَثُوٓا۟ إِلَّا عَشِيَّةً أَوْ ضُحَىٰهَا ٤٦ It will be, on the Day they see it, as though they had not remained [in the world] except for an afternoon or a morning thereof.
