I just started praying the rosary daily 2 years ago, during the pandemic. I wish I prayed this when I was in school but I didnt. Now im 45 y/o. Rosary praying helped me a lot managing my stress. Mama Mary really brought me closer to God. Im so HAPPY to be a Catholic. Mama Mary is the surest and fastest way to Jesus 💗💗💗

Mary is of no importance now. Her function was to birth the human incarnation of JESUS. After a few brief mentions in the bible,and never in a positive light,she disappeared from the life of JESUS. anytime she is mentioned ,including the wedding at cana, JESUS is always scolding her. HE never calls her mother or any term of respect or endearment,always referring to her as just woman. GALATIANS 6:7,”BE YE NOT DECEIVED GOD IS NOT MOCKED.

I crossed over into the Catholic church two years ago, and it started with a rosary bracelet. I was taught that it was idolatry to pray to Mary but one night l was under so much pressure that I asked Jesus to forgive me if it was a sin, and prayed one decade. I instantly calmed down and relaxed and the atmosphere in my home changed. My husband, a lapsed Catholic, bought me a rosary and I started praying it regularly. At first it was hard, but during lockdown it kept me sane. Discovering Mama Mary filled a huge void. As a protestant l deeply believed in prayer but so often felt anxious in spite of praying. Now l always know l am heard. The only real difference is the rosary and the Eucharist. I took communion in several different protestant churches over the years, but the Eucharist is qualitatively different. For the first time in my almost 60 years (28 as a Christian) l am happy, content, free of anxiety that dogged my life from childhood. Thank you, Mama!
I was protestant but I converted to Catholicism this year finding out I have a wonderful mom in Mary is one of the biggest gifts God and His Church has granted me, I feel her love and protection every single day, God bless you Mother Mary!!

As a convert to Catholicism from being a protestant I worried that the whole Mary thing could be confusing but once you open your heart and trust that God has led you here you see you also have a fantastic spiritual mother waiting who prays for you, one who you can find comfort in and all she wants is for you to be as close as possible to our lord Christ Jesus. Christ said it himself on the cross, behold your mother, let that sink in.
I love seeing how Mary has brought so many converts. Like many others in the comments, I too was made a convert because of Our Lady. My boyfriend, at the time (now fiancé), told me about the apparition of Our Lady of Guadalupe. I was a lapsed Protestant looking into Judaism and new age spirituality. After he told me the story of Guadalupe, I studied more and more and eventually read John 6. The beginning of my conversion was Mary, and what finally pushed me to make the jump was the Eucharist. Thank the Lord for giving us a wonderful, loving mother in Mary. She is a great guide to Christ.

Pro-tip: talk to Mary like she is your mother with full love and faith, as in the closest and dearest for your relatives or friends, I found this to be the best way to talk to her. She is our mother and wants us her children to speak to her and also want to help us, spent quality time with your mother in heaven, she loves you and is willing to listen!
For the past 3 years I've been struggling with my daughter and last night I asked Mary to help me "...I've tried everything to help my daughter and I don't know what else to do. As one mother to another please help me. I hope this does not offend you I say this out of love and concern but you talk about Mary like she is God like she can change your life and look after you like God does and you sound totally obsessed with her while Jesus multiple times took the attention away from Mary in the Bible... Roman Catholics seem to do the opposite of what Jesus did.... Jesus took the attention away from her and Roman Catholics put the attention back on her... and they pray to her and talk to her like she is God or something... and take Bible passages of her in the Bible and twist it to make it more about her... elevating her to some kind of God... and calling her the Mother of God... While she is just another sinner like all of us and God could have chosen another woman... Check how Jesus takes the attention away from her... He does not at all sound obsessed with His earthly mother like you do... Actually, Jesus affirmmed His Mother for doing the will of His Father and for keeping His commandments. She opened her heart to God's will without hesitation. Jesus points to her as a model of humility and obedience. To honor her is to honor the Father and Jesus, and it does not take anything from the Father's or Jesus' glory. God bless!

If Eve was conceived without sin, which the Bible says she was then Mary, the New Eve, who is greater than Eve would also be born without sin. Why would God create Jesus in a sinful human vessel? We believe the answer is that he didn't. He purified the vessel and that is what the doctrine of the Immaculate Conception is all about.
You didn't answer my question. If Mary has no original sin, THEN HOW IS SHE HUMAN, SINCE THE ONE BINDING TIE OF THE HUMAN RACE IS THAT FACT THAT ALL HAVE SINNED. In Luke, Mary says, 'my eyes have seen MY SAVIOR.' if she has no original sin...why does she need a savior? but that is beside the point. No original sin=no humanity. She isn't human, neither is the holy spirit, then Jesus isn't either. He has no right to die for humanity. If god could declare Mary sinless on a whim, he could have done it for all humanity.

Once we get baptised the stain of original Sin gets removed does that mean we are not human beings anymore? Sinning does not make one human. On the contrary, it is when man is without sin that he is most fully what God intends him to be and Mary needed God to be her saviour. She carried in her womb the Word of God.

The dead has nothing with the living. Even the graves we go to are emty, the dead are judged and in their place. Dont search for dead people but for the one who offer the living, the Living God not the person used by the Lord.

But worshiping the mother is blasphemy against the Son. Worshiping doesn’t necessarily just mean praising someone or bowing down to them. It can also simply mean putting in them a trust that belongs in God alone. There are people who pray for Mary to be a mother to them, because they long for that more than for the Lord God of Hosts to be a father to them.

So essentially they’re saying that God and the Trinity are lacking and that we NEED Mary to be our loving, tender mother as if God doesn’t offer this encouragement and care to us. Read the Psalms of David, countless testimonies of God’s “motherly” care. There’s no good argument here, only heresy and idolatry.
Someone please explain , where does the bible encourage a spiritual relationship with Mary ? Also mary did not come back from the dead and ascend to heaven like Jesus , so are y’all praying to the spirit of Mary? Just to clarify? Regarding praying in the name of Mary Where exactly (in the bible) does it say that we should use her name in the same way we should use Jesus’ name. It really makes no sense to me what so ever. The whole you have a mother thing is not doing it for me, Mary to me is an obedient servant of the Lord that was used to bring the saviour of the world on earth. If she has said no we would not be doomed (as another RU-vidr said to support catholic beliefs), because God would have used another woman with another name, who I am sure y’all would be praying to had things not turned out the way they did with Mary.
She should not be looked at the same way we view Jesus. That being said, she is far from just "an obedient servant." She was chosen out of every woman who has ever lived. I suggest you read Revelation chapter 12. Also in Luke 1:46-49, she tells us that All Generations will call her blessed. She is blessed. The angel tells her in Luke that "God has found favor with you." On the cross, Jesus tells the apostle he loved (John), "Here is your mother." We are all his apostles. She is our heavenly mother..
It is not like worshipping her. Our souls are eternal. It is like you asking for a friend to pray for you in a matter. Except in this case, you are asking the mother of God. In Luke 1:46-49 she says "All generations will call me blessed." While on the cross, Jesus said to the deciple He loved (John), "Here is your mother." We are his disciples, and she is our spiritual mother.

No. There is no possibility it was taken from Idol worship. Among other reasons are the facts that all Christians are called to intercede for all men (I Timothy 2:1); those who have passed from this life into the next surround us as a great cloud of witnesses (Hebrews 12:1); through c Christ, we have access to them (Hebrews 12:22-23); and they present to God the prayers of the saints living on Earth (Revelation 5:8).

Our lady brought me back home after being a lapsed Catholic for 10 years.....In my heart I know she brought me back, as I was scrolling down on RU-vid videos there was a video that showed up out of nowhere and I wasn’t even searching for anything religious and it caught my attention and it was a video of a Jew professor converting to Catholicism and about our Lady (Roy Schoeman) and this video changed my life. I’m devoted to her.

Her role in our salvation is foretold in Genesis 3:15 when God told the Devil And I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your offspring and hers; he will crush your head, and you will strike his heel." She is the only human being whom God has chosen for His plan to save the fallen human race. 3. As Jesus is the King of Kings, Mother Mary is the Queen Mother. Just as Bathsheba interceded for the king's subjects in 1 Kings 2:19 When Bathsheba went to King Solomon to speak to him for Adonijah, the king stood up to meet her, bowed down to her and sat down on his throne. He had a throne brought for the king's mother, and she sat down at his right hand. Mother Mary Mary intercedes for all of us. Reference the Wedding at CanaJohn 2 : 1 to 12 when Christ performed His first miracle, even though He initially said it wasnt His time yet. Mother Mary didn't tell Jesus what to do but directs the servants to Jesus, just as she directs us now to Jesus. The focus and glory is always in Jesus. 4. God killed Uzzah in 2 Sam 6:6 to 7 for touching the Ark of the Old Covenant : When they came to the threshing floor of Nakon, Uzzah reached out and took hold of the ark of God, because the oxen stumbled. The Lord’s anger burned against Uzzah because of his irreverent act; therefore God struck him down, and he died there beside the ark of God. Despite doing a good deed by stabilising a falling Ark, Uzzah was deemed unworthy and to have defile the Ark. The Ark of the old Covenant carried the Word of God in stone. Mother Mary carried the Word of God in flesh. She is thus sinless as she had to carried the Living Word of God in her womb for 9 months. Uzzah was struck dead by a mere touch. What's more 9 months of pregnancy? Thus we honour Mother Mary for carrying the Living Word of God. The sacredness and holiness of the Old Ark was evident by Uzzah's slaying, what's more the New Ark which is carrying Jesus. 5. Jesus the King of Kings bestowed Queenship on His mother Rev 12 :1 A great sign appeared in heaven: a woman clothed with the sun, with the moon under her feet and a crown of twelve stars on her head. This woman is Mary because she is in heaven where God is. The only human being God will allow Queenship in heaven is Jesus's mother - the Queen Mother of the King of Kings. This woman is not the Church as some Protestants claim because in subsequent verses.Rev 12 : 2 to 5 this woman gave birth to a son which will rule all nations and whom the devil wanted to harm but couldn't. The only human that can stand up to the devil is Jesus. REV 12 : 2 to 5 And she being with child cried, travailing in birth, and pained to be delivered. And there appeared another wonder in heaven; and behold a great red dragon, having seven heads and ten horns, and seven crowns upon his heads. And his tail drew the third part of the stars of heaven, and did cast them to the earth: and the dragon stood before the woman which was ready to be delivered, for to devour her child as soon as it was born. And she brought forth a man child, who was to rule all nations with a rod of iron: and her child was caught up unto God, and to his throne 6. We honour Mother Mary because we are grateful to her for saying Yes to God, when she was still an unmarried woman but had to bear Jesus, thereby being instrumental in the human race's salvation. 7. We honour Mother Mary because she was obedient to God and is our model of ideal discipleship. She didn't ask for God's detail operation plan, what's going to happen to her when she is found pregnant in old conservative Jewish society, how to answer to Joseph when he found out she is pregnant before their marriage, how is Mary going to live on financially if Joseph divorce her, what role is her son going to undertake etc. Nothing. No details needed. No assurances needed. Just a simple yes to God. And God is pleased with faithful disciples just as He is pleased with Abraham for his faithfulness. For these reasons, Mother Mary deserves our honour - just as how the Early Church honours her for 1500 years till the Reformation. The Orthodox Christians who broke away from the Catholic Church honours Mother Mary. Martin Luther, the Father of the Protestant Reformation loves Mother Mary, honours her and prays the rosary. The veneration of Mary is inscribed in the very depths of the human heart. (Sermon, September 1, 1522). [She is the] highest woman and the noblest gem in Christianity after Christ. ..She is nobility, wisdom, and holiness personified. We can never honor her enough. Still honor and praise must be given to her in such a way as to injure neither Christ nor the Scriptures. (Sermon, Christmas, 1531). No woman is like you. You are more than Eve or Sarah, blessed above all nobility, wisdom, and sanctity. (Sermon, Feast of the Visitation. 1537). One should honor Mary as she herself wished and as she expressed it in the Magnificat. She praised God for his deeds. How then can we praise her? The true honor of Mary is the honor of God, the praise of God's grace.. .Mary is nothing for the sake of herself, but for the sake of Christ...Mary does not wish that we come to her, but through her to God. (Explanation of the Magnificat, 1521). Luther goes even further, and gives the Blessed Virgin the exalted position of "Spiritual Mother" for Christians, much the same as in Catholic piety: It is the consolation and the superabundant goodness of God, that man is able to exult in such a treasure. Mary is his true Mother, Christ is his brother. God is his father. (Sermon. Christmas, 1522) Mary is the Mother of Jesus and the Mother of all of us even though it was Christ alone who reposed on her knees...If he is ours, we ought to be in his situation; there where he is, we ought also to be and all that he has ought to be ours, and his mother is also our mother. (Sermon, Christmas, 1529). Catholics honour Mother Mary but we also believed that Christ is still the only mediator with God. Christ and Christ alone.

I was given a new relationship with the Theotokos as my earthly mom died. I will always be grateful to God for the extravagant end He gave to mom. I believe that mom SAW Mary I will always remember moms face when she was having her vision! Mom exclaimed " Oh! She is SO BEAUTIFUL! " The look on mom's face was stunning. It was a gift to be there. Leviticus 26:1 “You shall not make idols for yourselves or erect an image or pillar, and you shall not set up a figured stone in your land to bow down to it, for I am the Lord your God. The bible says: For there is one God, and there is one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus,. Mary aint no mediator! The ONLY mediator between God and man is Jesus Christ the son of God. Rather than accept the edict at the council of Ephesus (449) 'That Mary is the mother of God' I believe in the words of Jesus, who was her son and said to her "What do I have to do with you woman?". And Paul whom Jesus appeared to in person who stated "(Jesus) was bolrn of a human mother". Two inspired statements to indicate that Mary was not more than a devout Jewess who have the wonderful privilege of bearing God's son in the flesh. Nowhere in the NT are we expected to give Mary veneration.

Don Bosco saw in a nightly vision the two great pillars of the Catholic Church -- the Eucharist and Devotion to the Blessed Mother. These are what guide the ship of the Church. Coincidentally or not so coincidentally (sorry Protestant brothers and sisters) these are the two things that nonCatholic/Orthodox denominations will usually go after in their preaching against Catholicism. This is what the word devotion means: love, loyalty, or enthusiasm for a person, activity, or cause. religious worship or observance. prayers or religious observances. Which when one thinks about this these things should be done to one person only, God. All the descriptions Malachi says about Mary is what Jesus does for us, he is describing Jesus. These are all descriptions of God. This is heresy and I am terrified for you of the judgement of God on you for teaching this belief of yours that is contrary to what the bible teaches.
@Elijah My friend none of the early christians treated Mary as a God, this is what Malachi and those who feel the same way he does are doing. Why do you bow down in front of statues of Mary weep in front of statues of Mary kiss and touch statues of Mary carry statues of Mary on your shoulders if a statue of Mary were to fall and break in pieces what would be your reaction? None of the early christians did these things because if they did they knew exactly how the Lord felt about that in his word, the Lord hated that it does not please the Lord. Mary was not made sinless but was born in sin just like the rest of all mankind inherited by Adam. I thank God for Mary because she believed the angel and basically said the Lords will be done. I believe Mary is in heaven and that she is a saint. The Lord hates idolatry and the way Mary is being worshipped is idolatry and if you don't repent of this idolatry the word of God is very clear as to what will happen to you on the day of judgement. Mary Mystically brings us to Christ. Remember she is a person and is not Divine, yet partakes in God's Divinity in a unique way. Please look up the Church's understanding of Maryology and stop misspeaking. You can start with "Mariology for Everyone" by the Franciscanfriars here on YT. I started out Protestant. I didn't know about who Mary was and I was telling about my fears about my no knowledge of Mary. When I told this to a sister working at the Pauline bookstore, she issued me "the Mary challenge," which was ask Mary for "Mary, show me you're my mother." I was baptized into the Catholic church that same year, in 2012.

If y’all only honoured her , it would stop at simply acknowledging her as the mother of Jesus To pray to her and talk to her as though she can help you in anyway is not biblical , and that’s what this video talks about , having an actual spiritual relationship with someone as a means of getting closure to Jesus. The logic is not there for me, because why not just get close to Jesus, there is abundance of biblical presidencies for getting closure to JESUS and Mary is not part of that equation. All the scriptures you used just asks people to lend their specific context towards the catholic belief that Mary is to be esteemed in some way , the Ark of the Lord reference is probs the most offensive use of scripture as you refer to it as an object that people simply bowed to, forgetting that God allowed his presence to reside wherever it went (so they were SHOWING GOD REVERENCE not an object!!!!) Mary is a human who God used , she deserves to be respected and honoured full stop but you have to admit that the catholics take it to a degree that’s simply unnecessary, especially seeing as Jesus is the only way truth and life. Matthew 23:9 “And call no man your father upon the Earth for one is your father, which is in heaven.” Also when the Bible talks about your mother, it means earthly mother. You can not talk to dead people. Mary is dead and can’t hear you. Saints can’t help you. Mary is being idolized by Catholics.

The God of glory appeared to our father Abraham while he was still in Mesopotamia, before he lived in Harran." Was Stephen disobeying Jesus when calling Abraham father? You protestants have a superficial knowledge of the Bible. It's way deeper. Remember that Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob died, but they are indeed alive, since God is a God of the living. Revelation 6:10 "They cried out with a loud voice, “O Sovereign Lord, holy and true, how long before you will judge and avenge our blood on those who dwell on the earth?”" Do you see that the dead in Christ are indeed alive and active?

Jesus is alive and will live forever and he is our great high priest who intercedes for us now, Thank God for that. I understand that these things are going to be to try us to see if we will believe the lie sometimes though you see the things going in this religious system and one can become very angry but then it causes you to become very sad for many in this religious system. The Lord knows that are his and they will come out from among this religious system as a matter of fact he has already taken out many and I give him praise because he loves them, the Lord will always do the right thing because that is who he is, righteousness and he will repay all of you who do not love the truth according to your works and he will glorified in the end because he is just and the justifier of those who believe.
If our goal is to be more like Jesus Christ, and here on Earth Mary took care of our Lord the way a mother takes care of her son, and right before Jesus Christ died on the cross he gave us his mother Virgin Mary, and she is now praying for us on heaven, then by all means I wanna love Mother Mary.

The Virgin Mary is amazing. In one if my prayers I asked her if she could ask her son what do I do when I reach the Love of God in terms of a mustard seed. At that moment I felt a present and I dropped on my knees and started praying. In my window was a dancing brown red cardinal trying to say hi. I felt the bright light.
