Agreed on being present. I get so tired of what's next, what is your plan... sometimes we just want to breathe and enjoy the present. I'm tired of living with the attitude of "when this happens or I do that then I can relax or be happy." We aren't promised tomorrow so let's enjoy today and see what the future holds. Loving your vlogs as always.
So pleased you’re enjoying them! And I hear you. I know this is really morbid 🙈but you know when it does all end? I think we’ll all wish we’d appreciated the now while we had it xx
@@JessicaRoseWilliams Live every day to the upmost. As you say never know what the next day will bring. Live each day to the fullest that is making you happy. Even going for that coffee and those Laduree sweets, fantastic time or moment.
Was just coming here to say the same thing. You are so right to want to be present. This is something I try to practice having followed Buddhist teachings. It's so important to enjoy the moment without always rushing to the next one. As the late Tich Naht Hanh said 'present moment, beautiful moment' 😍 x
What a beautiful blog, i randomly came across this. Some dont realise how brave it is too do things by yourself but so grounding & magikal at the same time. Btw those watching you when you went out on valentines day where admiring you & your journey, knowing your true love story has begun 💞☀️
I love that taking yourself on a date eating macarons on Valentine’s Day ❤️ ( we shouldn’t miss out the magic of this day because being single 🤍) That is a good point enjoying the moment. I try very hard not to think forward 😅 . Made me think about a quote from the philosopher Montaigne « when I dance, I dance. When I sleep , I sleep. » just enjoy/ be in the present 😊
Those macarons are indeed to die for! Ooh what you said about being present hit home; for me it's yoga (I would like to insert more meditation), but without it, the day doesn't feel like it has truly started. On certain occasions,I do not need it, but that routine and setting a routine for a start made me realise how much it grounded me, and consequently, it made me more present. I find it crazy that it took up until my late 20s to acknowledge and understand the importance of routine. I hope that your sore throat did not get worse...
I write and comment so much, but I am so happy your are living in the moment in Paris. Live for the day, please don’t think of England and fog your time in Paris. Your time in Paris will go so fast and I am sure you will miss it when you leave and feel a bit sad. So happy you are buying yourself flowers every Sunday, which is what I do for myself too. And each day, as mentioned before, I walk for 2 hours and do stop each day somewhere to stop and appreciate what I have and accomplished and people watch too. I have travelled so extensively and too wanted to write some journal, that could be a book, but put it off and now this year find I should be tackling it. Those pastries and just sitting out is such a nice thing to do. Jealous of the nice weather, we are having snow all week, no Spring here yet. Heavy boots and coats and bundling up. When I saw the sign for the Picasso Museum, it brought back memories of going to Paris from London on the train with two work friends for the day and going to the Museum. Also friends have gone for a day to Monet’s Home and it was magnificent to see and the markets. I hope you are documenting the places you have gone to, even for tea and like you said your favourite benches and cafes and will show us when you return, or your favourite place for flowers. Happy to see your new jumper, looks great and your jacket. My boyfriend is French and I was telling him about your sweater washing issue and the French writing on the wash machine. Of which he replied cold water would have saved them. I am happy also for you that you have a friend to enjoy time with and go to different spots. Can’t wait to see the Vegan restaurant menu. So happy you are in Paris alone, meeting friends, doing your meditating, writing and seems that you are getting into the Paris way of enjoying one’s self. All the best. Before you know it, the month will be over.
I LOVE that you don’t know what’s coming next for you. I don’t think Jess from 3 years ago would have let life just unfold like that. What an amazing way to be. Content to see what comes. ❤
Looks like a lovely time. It’s nice to break the routine sometimes- gives us a more authentic perspective on what’s important and what’s just going through the motions.
These French vlogs are your best ones EVER! you suit Paris! I would have loved you to try the mauve jumpers in Sezane! My sister and niece live in Paris, your video quality light and colours are perfect, I feel you should stay a bit longer!.....xxx
Jess, I'm so glad you've fallen into a new routine and that you're taking the time to really enjoy being there. I agree, this world is all about what's next. Who cares?! Appreciate we're you are now and all the little things that comprise your day. Nearly two years ago we almost lost my husband. Since then we make the time to do things together. It's no cliche that we really don't know how long we're here. I plan to make the most of it. Hope you're feeling better now. ✨💕✨
What a beautiful vlog ❤️ I agree with you on being present and living in the moment, so often it can feel like we need to have everything mapped out and have a clear destiny ahead when all along it’s really about the journey I think and how we find ourselves amidst it all. Xxx
Lovely video - I love Paris. I lived in France (Montpelier) for a year, and had a wonderful time. I'm interested - you said you are socialising lots, how do you meet people? Did you know people before you went, or is it chance encounters in public places. I ask because when I lived in Montpelier, even as a fluent French speaker, it took a while to build up friendships, and that was mainly via work. I'd love to hear about your experiences of meeting people. Keep having a wonderful time, and remember wherever you end up, you can take that joy and excitement with you, and have it every day. Love from sunny Cornwall x
Awww take each as it comes exactly... life is for living.... enjoy whatever makes you feel happy...better ...and never have any regrets....I hop you get something for your throat...and don't suffer..x enjoy your days ..x 😊
@@JessicaRoseWilliams oh no....x Try and get some fresh pineapple...it has its own antibodies that help..x Honey .. hot water ..fresh lemon are good too x. Take care ..💐💝
I'm loving how you are taking us along with your life in Paris. Such a beautiful city 💚. Love the new Sezane items too! (Completely off topic, but how do you keep them white? Do you wear a top underneath? I sometimes get 'yellow stains' under the armpits if I don't but it kinda ruins the beautiful necklines 😭.) Much love from the Netherlands and hope you enjoy every moment in Paris 💚💚
so happy to hear you're enjoying them and yes, Paris is beautiful! I don't do anything in particular tbh but they're an off white already which probably helps haha. I wear the sweaters loose so I don't tend to get any stains on them. I do hear adding baking soda to a wash helps though xx
Your Paris vlogs are so beautiful and relaxing! I'm wishing for more than one a week but I also understand that your priority is working on your book:)
I love seeing you in Paris. I miss your cottage life and Hope though but it’s great fun seeing Paris with you. I love the fresh bread thing and the flowers 💐💕xx
awh yay! I so wish Hope was here. I keep seeing all the little white dogs sat outside the cafes enjoying life and it's the cutest thing. Missing her so much xx
I hope this isn’t taken the wrong way but you come across quite vulnerable and shy in this video, to how you usually are, I hope you are okay and taking care of yourself x
so I know I'm the minority but I find Parisians very friendly and helpful haha. My French is shocking but I try my best and when I have to speak English I ask for the translation. I haven't found it to be a problem at all xx
