Eeeeei an important take and one that is, of course, reflective and characterising of (some poetry); but one that also reaches so much further than art. Imo life and humankind is best lived in simplicity, always started in complication, and struggled through until that key concept is understood. Fun fact most people, I feel, have a very rough misconception surrounding simplicity! :p
Yes, that's right, I agree. I speak a lot about art on that channel and more importantly poetry, but I think art is a reflection of real life, and yes, the concept of reality reaches much further than art. Well, to be honest I think that everything starts with simplicity, then becomes complicated and then goes back to being simple, if I understood what you are saying properly. Otherwise I agree, people have misconception surrounding simplicity, it shouldn't be seen as something bad, but quite the opposite actually.

No, that's for sure, but coming back with unnecessarily complicated problems can come from different sources as well and the secret is to find the proper source, if we fail to see it and acknowledge it, then we might end up turning round and round. One of the thing we can do however, when we can't find the source straight away, is to divert the attention and focus on small, simple and enjoyable things in the mean time.
Hey man! I got into poetry when I was around 15-16 years old and we were studying it in school. To be honest, I don't know if it's obvious in my videos or the way I answer, but I'm a very emotional person, and at that time I realized that I could write poems and that I was pretty talented at it. It was a good way for me to be able to control my emotions and not feel completely helpless or worthless in some situations. Whatever happened I could always write a poem about it, and it kind of saved my life in many occasions. I very rarely took it seriously though until I moved to the Netherlands two and a half years ago, when, to be honest, I wasn't completely happy with my life and decided that the best way to fight against it was focusing on something that I could control, so I started writing a lot. Now, I feel like I'm still learning about it every day. Well, that was quite a deep and long answer, I hope you don't mind but I really appreciate you asking that question, and thank you for watching my videos on poetry even though you are not that much into poetry yourself, that's really cool!
@@ThePatchUniverse That's so interesting, I'm glad Poetry has been able to help you like that. I think everyone needs a sense of control and yours sounds like a healthy way to achieve that. My Poetry when I was younger was Video Games, it helped me get through bullying and other problems - so that history has played it's part in an emotional connection for me. I also wrote stories for children and I need to get back to other stories I started writing, but that demands more discipline. I fully understand about video games, and I'm sorry to hear that you had to deal with bullying, this is really awful how kids can act in school, but I'm really happy to read that video games have helped you with that! Yes, as you know video games are another passion of mine, so I fully understand that. Oh, so you used to write rap lyrics? That's great! It's actually a form of poetry as well. I was thinking about making a video called "another perspective on poetry", and I would mention how poetry can be found in man places such as pop culture, like for example, if you check the Halo games, the Gravemind often speaks in rhymes, which is poetry, but that video ended up being too long and it was hard to fully get my point across so I ended up not uploading it. Thanks a lot man, I also consider you a friend and I'm really happy that we have a tool such as RU-vid to be able to have all these great conversations. We wouldn't have been able to have all these communications without that, which inspired my other video.
