You know on Rampage seeing Jay Leathal and Mark just talking as they get to have a no stakes match is great, making me remember their match at the Jay Briscoe memorial show. Beyond that seeing Daniel Garcia becoming a wrestler again and doing well before losing when the sports entertainer comes back feels like it is about to have a great payoff. So many great matches but the best bit in my opinion has been the promos afterwards to add story to each interaction
Mark vs Jay will end in a draw. From there they will tag team together. Jay needs to move away from Jeff Jarrett and the rest of them. Get some credibility back. Bring back Black Machismo!
Speaking of Daniel Garcia, I love that they played into him overrelying on the Dragon Tamer as a finish. He locks it in but cranks all the way back, which leaves his neck vulnerable to a counter, which has cost him every time. Daddy Magic mentioned it during his match a week or two ago, and sure enough he lost because of it. Great low key storytelling there.
The C2 really does feel like the kind of thing AEW was created to do. More sports-themed, feels important in helping make stars, and delivers impactful matches. And the overall storytelling has been great so far.
The tournament has been a great addition for AEW and I’ve also enjoyed the production around it, with special mention to the backstage promos that have been uploaded to their social media. They’ve done wonders for adding stakes and story to the tournament and wrestlers. Everyone has been on top form in these, to a man. I’m a sports fan so having this sports driven narrative is just what I like to see.
Where the C2 has worked, I think, is in proving the worth of something old but still of use in AEW: the ranking system. What we have seen here are matches driving story not story driving matches, and while I agree the C2 should be once a year, it is worth considering that have a ranking system (adapted for the needs of story, so ruling that the top five at any time can if the champion agrees get a match or whatever story given reason we want to give) allows big names just fight for the sake of moving up in the ranks of gaining a top five position. “Ranking Matches” become an excuse for beat downs and giving folks without plot TV time- why was someone like Scorpio Sky on this weeks Collision for a few minutes? Oh, it’s a ranking match. This then allows stories be driven by matches- they could have done Jay Lethal leaving his team up with JJ and co in anyone of a hundred ways… but here in the C2 it feels organic; his need to strut costing him matches; his throwaway interviews with Mark Briscoe; his reactions, the look in his eyes… and now his leaving feels important. For him. For us. Making us as fans question Lethal as a character and go ‘Yeah, he IS supposed to be awesome isn’t he?’. Same way Mark Briscoe’s ‘rookie year’ (his words) has been topped with him trying (and failing) to do his brother’s finishing move in match after match… and its cost him. And will he do it? Maybe he gets his one win against Lethal doing it; and what does that mean for both men? See? It’s a natural story, a small detail that means EVERYTHING. There are reams of story just in that one in-ring action, and this is what we hard-core AEW fans adored. Seems to me then that while I do not talk of a C2 outside of the yearly ritual, the ‘spirit of the C2’ would be simple to maintain. Return the rankings. Not just in singles, but Trios as well as Tag teams. Give us an IC reason for the matches. Allow the events in the ring dictate the events story comes from. It does NOT have to end all/be all. But it reinvigorates the AEW stories with an actual excuse to put someone on air; to give them a mini-push. Sure, we can run our big storylines, but truth is… the best storylines are driven by the ring work, and the ring work is THE cornerstone of why AEW is superior to anyone else. Just a thought.
Yeah even long standing rivalries in other sports started initially from matches or games, and it would really different initiate aew and make it seem way more sports like to have the story lines emanate from this, instead of vice versa
The fact you had to explain the way the C2 works for some people is honestly astonishing because I figured it was a straightforward format 😂 That being said the C2 reminds me of the early days of AEW when wins and losses mattered. The matches and upsets have definitely felt like big deals and create their own storylines 👏🏼
Yeah, the only thing I would like to see is to change the weird graphic they use for the standings. I get that it makes sense to show it all at one glance, but idk, could be more fun to use the football-style table and have wrestlers rise and fall above/below one another. I don't always need to see who got 3 points there and who got 0 points there all at once, and the linear display could be fun to push stories like a win here would put them above Wrestler X, or if they lose, then Wrestler Y just needs a draw to take their spot.
I really like what it does for certain wrestlers, it allows us to see another side of them, with this tournament, we clearly see that it will create new rivalries. Lettings wrestlers express themselves after a victory or lost. I think it's a very good idea. I really enjoy the C2
It's the small scale and nuanced story telling is what I love most about the C2. I love the big drama and mystery of the devil stuff too but the simplicity of stories like Eddie betting it all and trying to be a better person in how he deals with the loss, Garcia trying to prove he can hang with the big boys and getting close so many times, Jay White's frenzy one he got a loss because he thought this would be a homefield advantage. Etc, etc. They're so good. Hearing about characters growing and reacting in such a long form within wrestling to great emotional highs (Golden Lovers) was what got me to check it out for the first time a few years. I wish we could get it all year but at the same time, my hype for next years if we keep getting this tier of a line-up will be nuts. I'm cool with the belt but I do agree the belt should also be a token to a shot at the big one. Seeing someone lift the C2 belt and their newly won AEW World Championship one year will be a great sight. Great vid, Tranq. Hope you're doing well.
The Continent Classic Tournament is one of my favorite things on AEW TV right now. Excellent matches and shocking upsets, I agree with Tranquilo Club on AEW creating another championship for the winner and giving them the NJPW Strong and ROH title that’s over stuffing. Give them a trophy and a AEW World Championship shot at Revolution.
Great Video, I’m not much of a AEW fan aside from loving Christian and Jericho… but the Continental Classic has been my favourite thing I’ve seen so far. Like you, seeing how strong they’re making Andrade (especially against Bryan) has been fantastic. Thanks
I love that we're getting storytelling within the matches. When I heard the tone of AEW was shifting more towards NJPW-style, I wasn't sure what that meant. But if it means subtle storytelling like this, I'm 100% for it
AEW has been good ever since the Continental Classic began. I'm glad Andrade El Idolo has had time to shine since he's my pick to win for how good he has been this year since Collision began this summer in June.
They also need to learn how to use takeshita and hobbs properly. Like where did they go. Hobbs squashed Jericho and no follow up. Takeshita beat Omega and no follow up.
@@mrnicemam8523 True. Good point. You're right. Swerve needs to be the next face of AEW. In that case Danielson will win the tournament as a last hoorah before he retires. Andrade should win though, but they're setting him up for a feud with Miro.
This tournament it’s amazing and despite the fed marks saying AEW it’s dying or whatever I’m still enjoying the product cause I want wrestling to succeed and that’s it I love AEW and pro wrestling
This tournament has been great!! I do hate it's not for a shot at the AEW title, but I hope that is corrected later down the line. I also hope that it functions as the Royal Rumble for AEW. While I get All In is so far away it really should be to main event that show. It would be great to if occasionally someone from other companies can participate. Finally they should do a similar tournament for the women.
When this tournament started, I thought for sure that it would be Swerve vs Danielson in the finals, but after Andrade beat Danielson and Brody King to take the lead in the Blue League, I wouldn't mind seeing Swerve vs Andrade at Worlds End.
Can you imagine how good the wrestling social media universe could be if the WWE vs AEW feud wasn't there? I see non stop videos that AEW is falling apart yet they are having the best content in the world of wrestling. The Continental Classic creates the narrative that every match is important, every outcome is important if you want to move on. So they have had banger after banger matches each week. The tournament is telling several stories and bringing dream matches along the way. Also, stars are being created and pushed up the ladder like Swerve, Andrade, and Brody King. I applaud any news channel promoting positivity in AEW likes yours, I'm starting to believe the bottom feedees and some of the mainstream channels are being paid to put out negative AEW content.
Danielson-Andrade and Swerve-Switchblade were really cool matches. I've always dreamed about a G1 climax-style tournament in american wrestling, hope they'll replicate next year. This tournament has brought so many benefits to each participant.
I think next year they should fully embrace the sports style end with a trophy presentation medals and the winners name etched onto the trophy like the Stanley cup. Trophy should be named after Danielson after he retires.
So far, the CC is what really makes me want to tune in to each episode of Dynamite and Collision: mostly stellar matches (and a good excuse to book potential dream matches), "sport based" storytelling for a lack of better words, and mostly uncertain outcomes given the nature of the round robin (speaking of which, maybe I'm just used to it in football/soccer, but some fans must be mentally challenged to find those rules too complicated to understand). The tournament really gives me some original AEW vibes, that identity that was their own. I must agree though on the debatable prize: while my understanding is that the continental title is more like a trophy than another regularly defended belt (like the Owen Memorial belt), adding to the mix what are objectively only secondary title only adds to Kingston's storyline, but not much to the tournament itself.
I love your channel. I am a WWE fan first, but I was watching your videos for awhile before subscribing today. I also have been won over by the C2. To have a second company going for a different feel and knowing what it wants to be… is great for all. Especially me, because it’s different enough that I don’t feel burned out.
USUALLY I hate tournaments, however, because this isn’t a knockout tournament, the matches have been really interesting and a lot of the time I have no idea who is going to win… I want more of this
I won't mind the addition of the two extra titles as the prize so long as the triple crown championship becomes what the All-Atlantic started as: something that is routinely defended in other promotions. Heck, even held by! Let's get that International Wrestling Alliance really rolling with a title of its own.
First off, I agree that AEW made a brand-saving decision putting this on now when all the momentum seemed to be going in the other direction (although i attest that both promotions putting out good content is a good thing). The only things I'd change for next year is raising the nunber of contestants to 16 than 12, making the time limit 25 mins, and, like you already said, making it for a title shot. We didn't need another championship in AEW. My solution would be that it IS for the main event at All-in. And, like the person who wins the G1, the C2 winner has a briefcase that gets defended all the way to the event. You can even add that the winner can choose the stipulation for that match, but even treating the briefcase for the All-in main event basically as a title is better than this triple crown idea and elevates not only the tournament, but All-in and the person holding it. Im hoping next year we get Ospreay, Pac, OC, Adam Cole, Samoa Joe, Mox, and Hangman being the name guys and allow for some breakouts from Takeshita, Hobbs, Archer, Wardlow, and maybe even a single's run for Nick Jackson. Maybe even bring in a guy from New Japan (like Ishii) to spice it up. I truly appreciate the matches we've gotten. I don't think guys like Swerve, Kingston, Claudio, Andrade, Rush, or Brody King have looked better. Even Mark Briscoe being the guy that loses but pishes everyone to the limit has looked great.
Continental classic gave me a better G1 feel than the last 3 years and by the tremendous talent in the roster it was just hits no misses at all The backstage interviews also was something I always hoped to see, just needs to be on TV
I'm digging the C2. I especially like it b/c it feels like a reset button for AEW in that they can set up fresh feuds and angles using the tournament. I also low-key hope they bring back the wrestler stats. I miss seeing their W/L record at the bottom of the screen. And finally yeah it feels a little like AEW when they started- it was for us smarks.
I totally agree with last statement about making it seem GRAND. I was thinking the same that they need to make it so big that others want to join AEW just for C2. Also, make the prize worth fighting for as well. (A title match at ALL IN would be amazing) ...... This way ALL IN seem GRAND as well.
Tranquilo! What's Good Valedor! Chakala Carnal 🤜🏻🤛🏻 What I Enjoy About This Continental Classic Tournament Is That All Wrestlers Involved In The Tournament Are Bringing Their A1- Game Cause It's Go Hard Or Go Home.
Yeah. This tournament was a great idea. Personally I wasn't excited. But after following the matches week after week....its FIRE 🔥. Now I am not even sure who is going to finally win this tournament and that is making me sit and watch to enjoy this wonderful journey. ❤️
I like the C2 as a concept and think it's had a lot of high points, but there are a lot of things it should fix for next year. First: NO MORE TITLES. It shouldn't be for a made up title, it should be for a World title shot at a big show the way that the G1 does it. 2nd: Way too many people who are just there to get pinned. Guys like Mark Briscoe, Jay Lethal, Brody King, Rush, and especially Daniel Garcia have no business being here if they're never going to win or beat anyone important. They just make all of their matches predictable. There should either be a way to qualify for it or it should be selected by the 12 in the company with the best win-loss records aside from the champion. Have Omega, Page, Samoa Joe, Darby Allin and one other person whos been pushed in it instead, even if they're also in storylines. This would also mean the event would feel bigger and more important and more people would be invested in it because theyd be invested in each wrestler in it. Claudio is the exception because him being in the BCC does at least create intriguing in those matches, so he can stay in. 3rd which ties into the 2nd point: Nobody should've been eliminated that quickly. Their matches don't matter now. That would probably be fixed by fixing the first point but how're you gonna present these matches as all having stakes if like 3 people are competing for nothing now? 4th, tying into points 2 and 3: I know there have been a couple upsets, but next should be more. I know TK doesn't get that just watching cool moves isn't enough to make an interesting match, but why would I watch 20 minutes to get to a finish I can always predict? Swerve vs Moxley is the only match so far I can remember where I actually didn't know who was gonna win beforehand. 5th: I like the fact that people aren't allowed at ring side so it feels more like a real sport, but it is weird from a kayfabe standpoint because it implies that you always could stop interference from happen don't. Idk how to fix that, but try to find a kayfabe reason for this. If they fixed those few things, I think they'd have something really good here.
I like the idea of this tournament, personally instead of having it be for another title, its should be for the #1 contender for the AEW title. *Typed this before you said it*
I hope we can get a Women's version of the C2 gives the women division just as much of a spotlight for 2024. Can you imagine the fire it'll bring out of women. I want to feel how I felt when we had Thunderosa vs. Britt Baker or Serena Deeb vs. Thunderosa or Tay Conti & Anna Jay vs. The Bunny and Penelope Ford. Or recently, like Athena vs. Billie Starkz. The women showed they can shine. So let them
Genuinely couldn't believe that some people found the format confusing so I went to do a quick bit of research...and yep, somehow people don't get it or they're just riding the negative click bait train of AEW criticism whilst it's delivering.
The digs at Wrestletalk are phenomenal. I didn’t really understand it at first but it’s become an annoyance to the point I rarely check the material. I also don’t like the flip flopping of support then trash talk.
Barring Andrade putting Brody King in a resthold until the crowd completely fucking died died every match in the C2 has been a crazy ass banger, and as much as I hate to admit it I was genuinely worked by Eddie's storyline at the start I was so worried they were just gonna have him go on a losing streak again. As for the triple crown, I'm intrigued by the prospect of it being defended in all 3 companies it is sourced from.
That person that tweeted out burying 10 people and pushing two 🤦🏾♂️🤦🏾♂️ like what has wwe done to wrestling fans brains over the last 20 years where a person can lose in a round robin tournament to former world champs and they call that a burial. LOSING DOESNT AUTOMATICALLY MEAN THEY ARE BURRYING SOMEONE
Great Video. Apart from the suggestion that Continental Classic should be for the world title. I would love to see some minor tweaks as well. If next year they still have 2 groups of 6 wrestlers i.e. total 12. 10 should be the top wrestlers based on win loss records. 2 spots should be for wildcards entries or up for grabs. 1st wildcard spot should be decided by knockout tournament , can be Rampage exclusive. 2nd wildcard spot can be over the top battle royal which also includes the finalist and semi-finalist of the knockout tournament giving them a second chance. This will help build up for the tournament and makes even participating it in as prestigious. Not saying this is pitch perfect, but yeah would make it more interesting even before C2 begins just like Football World Cup Qualifiers in my opinion.
I mean, if you want the C2 grand prize could be a briefcase for a shot at All In the following year, just like the G1. I mean NJPW has feuds where the loser hands over the briefcase but those matches rarely ever mean anything because the g1 winner always wins those. However with All In being so far away it could easily be the case where someone COULD lose that briefcase in a feud for whatever reason (even if they win it back later) kinda combining the NJPW briefcase and the MITVB
I'm in total agreeance with the narrator in regards to the ultimate prize of this tournament. An AEW World title match SHOULD be the winner's reward. AEW does not need a new title. Especially one that is connected to New Japan and ROH titles. Less is more sometimes.
I thought the exact same thing about the prize for the C2 - it should be a PPV World Title shot - that way the PPV itself becomes important - "you want to main event for a shot at the title? Then you've gotta win the C2". It would make the PPV important. It would make the championship important. It makes the C2 important and finally it helps give the time to build the challenger as a credible threat who has earned their title opportunity. If treat in this manner the C2 would become AEWs version of the G1 or the Royal Rumble - you've got to win it to go onto bigger things. Its a journey. Instead in this itteration - the triple crown is silly. The Continental Champonship? Is that gonna be a championship that's defended? Or is it more of another Diamond Ring kinda deal where annually its contested but in the wider scheme of things its unimportant and meaningless. The NJPW Strong and ROH World titles? Sorry but both of those belts are worthless in the current state of wrestling. The Strong title is a belt from a niche show that noone watches and the ROH World Title is an irrelevant world title these days and has been for the past decade at least. Seriously are we supposed to believe that the ROH World title is legit enough to be considered on the same level as the AEW World Title? Even in ROHs heyday in the 2000s the ROH World Title was simply the main belt in the 3rd biggest wrestling company behind WWE and TNA, and it catered to just a niche audience in the same way ECW did behind WWF and WCW as the #3 promotion at the time. ROH these days holds no value except nostalgia to a niche audience who like technical wrestling. Regardless - the prize for the C2 definately should not be this 'triple crown' of irrelevant titles.
I’m a sucker for tournaments and I love the fact that AEW has them sometimes a little too often to the point where it seems unnecessary like for example eliminator tournaments but the Continental Classic is not that kind of tournament. It’s great the wrestling has been phenomenal the sense of urgency for everyone involved has created an excitement and anticipation at least for me for Dynamite and Collision week to week. There are aspects in this tournament that come off as predictable but overall I am loving the Continental Classic and it has been the best thing going in AEW and as it’s winding down it’s getting more exciting like most tournaments and the longer it goes the more it interests me.
My sadness in the tournament so far is not using out the beauty of draws.I think there should be just a 15 minute time limit in the tournament. If they want to revolutionize wrestlingand make it more sportslike than Japan does. The rest of the world would be a great fan of AEW especially in Europe if AEW is investing in TV deals. Even my country Hungary has some decent commentators who would be honored to represent the promotion and translate it to the audiences.
You know what's gonna be the most epic match in the entire Continental Classic? Jay Lethal vs. Mark Briscoe. They are both winless and both mathematically eliminated from winning. They have NOTHING TO LOSE. The moment they're in front of each other, they're gonna both go "I am NOT allowing this motherfucker to make me the biggest loser of this entire thing."
Honestly my one complaint is how safe they’ve booked it, if you’re gonna have mark bros or, Jay Lethal and Garcia in it don’t let them lose every match. There are a ton of great matches in this tourney. Actually there’s none I’ve hated, but the fact that it almost feels like we know who will win sucks
AEW really needs to captulize on the fall season. October-January is where WWE does the least amount of business. So yes, i hope next year we get more guys in the tournament. With winner facing The AEW world champion at All In. Sure, that might be a long time for a tournament winner to face a champion. But think of the stories you can do to really build up the contender. Redeeming his losses in the tournament. Side quests. And then finally kicking off the feud with the champion for 2-3 months before their first meeting. This tournament not only can liven up the main event picture. But also create new stars. I would love for Ricky Starks to get that push.
Man, I can get the whole hype around the matches and the stories developed from this and I'm happy that you're enjoying this as much as you have. But man, I can't really invest myself into this tournament like that because the grand prize at the end of it all is pretty damn lame imo. Plus, the whole triple crown element of the win just complicates the lineages of the titles for me since they aren't being merged. If the winner ends up losing the Strong and ROH titles to other people, are those champions forced to compete in the C2 next year? Even if they may have some other storylines surrounding the titles or other dates during the tournament? I'm not trying to bring down the mood or come across as hating, I'm just voicing my own opinions.
Still trying to figure out why Rush still "has a chance". He is sitting at only 6 points. If he does beat Swerve he still doesn't get anywhere. The real intriguing part of the gold league is if Jay beats Mox, and Swerve beats Rush, then we have a 3 way tie. 3 competitors will be at 12 points where they EACH one of the other 2: Mox over Swerve, Swerve over White, and White over Mox.
So about to C2 you're thinking about what's best for the tournament and not what was best for the story, this particular year the story was about Eddie Kingston. If the prize was a trophy and a title shot in the future than that negates him giving up both titles and putting himself behind the eight ball with no confidence to come back and ultimately beat two men he and no one else thought he could
what i like the most about the C2 is the fact that there is no interfences at all in addition to the shocking results. this tournment als showed the wrestlers in the best way possible. Now i am a big fan of mark, see brody king as an absoulte monster and stand behind kingston because of his courage. truly a great time to wrestling fan
AEW is still good. But for me it must do the following: 1. Scrap Rampage. 2. Focus hard on Dynamite and Collision. 3. Make ROH developmental. 4. Stop cross-branding titles. 5. Focus on the current roster. 6. DO NOT CREATE MORE TITLES!
I can't help but disagree you wanting this to be for the world champion, for 2 reasons. 1) it'd just be another of a billion tournaments for a world title, and going through a major tournament once a year, just to have people be given a shot for free the rest of it would feel off. 2) it would restrict the amount of people that could win/compete. It being a midcard title means they can include less proven stars. Making it for the main title means it'd be pretty obvious who's going to win, and with long reigns like MJFs, it'd all be pointless anyway as we know they aren't winning the whole time
As much of bummer it is seeing Briscoe and Lethal winless so far, if it leads to Mark reminding Jay of who he who is so that he leaves the group with Jarrett, it will be worth it. Do you think they might be merging these belts, especially since it sounded like the direction ROH and NJPW Strong were heading was as a place with people from all different promotions? This would give one belt for all kinds of people from all different promotions all over the world.
I have only been enjoying the blue league. Gold has no excitement for me due to how predictable it has become. I could have benefitted from having a march madness like upset. I want Mark to beat Mox but it didn't happen. Swerve maintaining his momentum is the only thing I'm invested in in gold. It feels now Mox has to win the gold block to avoid a clusterfuck with the tie breaker if White beats him
Great tournament so far. I do think the critique of the prize is warranted. I can't deny that at this moment, a AEW world title shot would be a much bigger deal especially when they have so many titles...however, as a fan of the Japanese Triple Crown, I love the concept. I especially like the idea of this championship being defended in three different promotions. I'm not sure if the title has enough space to breathe to become special , but if it does, I would love this tournament being for a shot at the triple crown every year
Hopefully next year we can get Kenny, Ospreay, and Pac in the C2. I said on Twitter that to make the C2 a little different than the G1. The winner doesn't get a title shot at the next PPV instead the winner becomes the champion. Like next year the TNT championship should be on the line. Every year it's a different championship that is up for grabs.
I completely agree about the prize for the CC. I understand why TK and AEW didn't go the same route as NJPW's G1 Climax, because that would appear to be a complete copy of the tournament. However, this triple crown idea, like you said, is just going to overstuff the belt scene in AEW, which is kind of a problem at the moment. To me, the CC is amazing but also has exposed a big problem in AEW, and that is the amount of championships out there that are not getting much or any attention. The Acclaimed and Daddy Ass have been gone for a while, only recently coming back. Big Bill and Starks are doing pretty good, but Kenny's injury hurts that storied angle. Toni Storm is doing awesome work right now, but she has not viable contenders at the moment. Julia Hart is up-and-coming and doing quite well, but I don't think the current story is all that interesting, even with Skye "Black" now. Christian is on the role of his life, so this is probably the best-told story in AEW right now. Hook isn't doing much with the FTW belt, as has been the case, even if he is in a feud with Wheeler Yuta currently. MJF's run with the AEW belt is honestly running stale, and I thought the way they handled the Jay White match was BAD. The Devil stuff is just not doing it for me either. That's a lot of belts, and I didn't even bring up all of the ROH belts and other promotion belts that find their way into AEW. With that said, we need more reasons to go after belts that already exist, and we need each belt to feel more meaningful than they currently do. At this moment, the TNT belt feels the most important, because the characters involved are so good and the desire for the belt is so high. I wish the AEW belt had that feel, but it feels much more mid-cardy right now by comparison. All that to say, the CC is delivering some amazing matches, and it would mean so much more if it gave the winner a chance to main event a PPV for the world title. By not offering that, then we are just doing another Owen Hart Classic "championship" belt that shows up once a year just for fun.
@EddiePGRPlayer420 I can agree with that, but I also think there are too many belts and too many wrestlers. So many of them get lost in the shuffle, and sadly, some belts get neglected because of too much going on. I love this tournament, but another belt is not something AEW needs. What AEW does not, however, is a tournament like this that leads to something meaningful, like how the G1 Climax leads to the WrestleKindgom main event. Oh, well. We will see how it evolves next year. I would honestly like the Gold and Blue Leagues to have 1 or 2 more wrestlers in each group next year, just to give us more fun pairings that we way not see normally.
the triple crown champion will be an equal to the world champion , as the company grows the roster grows , 3 shows at least they need 2 world titles as in WWE having the undisputed wwe universal champion and the world heavyweight champion .
The continental has been great so far, all matches have been pretty high tier even from talent I don't usually love. But with the triple crown thing, I wonder if the titles are more or less permanently linked going forward. Add one title to merge it with two others for net -1 to aews too many championships problem. Although I guess one was njpw
