In the LDS church, the Kirtland temple dedication is certainly seen as a special time. However, it is rarely given anything more than a brief mention. I honestly don’t even recall ever having an actual discussion about it. It is however incredibly important and shows the divine forgiveness of God along with the important role that Joseph Smith served for the early church.

Thank you for your diligent research. It’s clear to my understanding that we have become a church that focuses on the things of this world. Leadership has become a priority and it fosters absolute loyalty to the demands of the Brethren to follow the Prophet. The idea that God will never let them lead us astray is one example. It has become so corrupt that no individual can speak openly about the problems without being threatened. Who would ever call the Pope “His Holiness?” President Nelson and President Ballard both did with deep reverence for the Catholic leader. The Temple is an important topic and I remember that the Brethren brought Guns into the Kirkland Temple and were deeply upset over the loss of their money. I can’t imagine God accepting a people that have been or were so misguided in their thinking at that time. Today we are told that the Governments vaccines are “Safe and Affective.” No True!!! I am very grateful for your efforts to bring awareness to these glaring problems with the Church.

Thanks. There are so many issues in the church today and it is very natural to camp at a certain level and get comfortable. I am not sure what God's church looks like, however I know that the LDS one needs to have massive changes before we can be God's people again.

The GAs called the Pope "His Holiness" because they are secretly allied with the Jesuits, as well as with the political Zionists. Their ultimate goal is complete control of the world through the eventual dissolving of all countries into a one world top down dictatorship.

What do you think it is that signified that the saints were not ready for the fullness of God and therefor not worthy of their September 11th 1836 redemption
@uncorrelatedmormonism
@uncorrelatedmormonism 8 месяцев назад
I don't think it is one thing. If it was one thing though, I would point to the abandonment of consecration. I think if a people are willing to live consecration, then God can work the other things out. However, if you fail to live that law then you can't progress further. Consecration is a fundamental law of God and we will need to live it in the future.

@@uncorrelatedmormonismI believe even Brigham young said, in expressing his frustrations for the demands of new revelations by the church members, that the church won’t receive more instruction when they haven’t fulfilled the instruction they’ve already been given on consecration. Of course, after this speech the church briefly began to practice an attempt at consecration, but it was unfortunately short lived being ended at the happening of the second gold rush. I feel tho at that point they needed to do a lot more than just consecration in order to be favored in gods eyes
@uncorrelatedmormonism
@uncorrelatedmormonism 8 месяцев назад
@@zrosix2240 You are likely correct. I think consecration is important because we can't do that unless we love each other as ourselves. In my mind for it to work then a lot of other things have to work as well. However, of course the Gospel is more than just consecration. God is present where truth is though.

The LDS church just acquired this building. Thankfully it won’t be turned into a dedicated LDS temple, and will remain as it is.

Speaking of visions in the kirtland temple, what about Joseph smiths vision of the celestial kingdom, where he states he beheld the modern 12 there? Is this not evidence of divine favor upon the 12 and against the rejection of the church? Or perhaps it can be seen as a show of divine mercy
@uncorrelatedmormonism
@uncorrelatedmormonism 4 месяца назад
God does have more mercy than we can understand. I believe that even if the church was rejected that doesn't mean everyone is going to hell. It just means we will have more time to try again. Frankly I think no one "goes to hell" except those that don't want to improve. For the apostles though, I believe they were all doing what they thought God wanted. People today like to vilify Brigham, however I believe he was instrumental to save the church and he was just doing what he thought was God's will. I don't believe in the slightest that he was "evil" or anything like that.

What do you take of Rob Fotheringham's video suggesting the vision in kirtland with elijah never actually happened?
@uncorrelatedmormonism
@uncorrelatedmormonism 8 месяцев назад
I watched it a while ago. I honestly don't remember much. It may make sense that it never happened. I think all things that led up to it did. I think either it never happened, or it did and the church was downgraded like I suggested here. I think there is no way that it was an "upgrade" like the LDS church suggests. I will watch the video and then do a follow up.

@@uncorrelatedmormonism no, I don't really care for Gregorian days as it is all speculation back that far. I have been trying not to live by Gregorian calendaring to return to God's true order and in an effort to flee Babylon in various senses of the term. September 11th wasn't a day until the "Common Era." However I have looked into various attempts to calculate the date of Jesus's birth which could have happened in the spring or autumn. I am trying to figure it out myself and try the efforts of others compared to how the spirit directs me at times. It's not a concentrated effort, but just something I dabble in here and there a little at a time.

Another amazing note is that Tuesday April 6th, 1830 was the day of Passover or 14th of Abib (Month 1). As you mentioned the Kirtland House was to be dedicated during the week of Unleavened Bread. WW Phelps made mention of their understanding of the Passover season during this time, and the last day or 7th day of Unleavened Bread (21st of Abib) was the day of the promised endowment to be received. I did a video and even mentioned in a couple others of the Twelve's reaction after this day and their deficient preparation.

@@uncorrelatedmormonism not only is it fun, but it is meaningful. By revealing things like this we can better understand God's word and be strengthened in relationship to him and the fulfillment of his word. There are only two things that aren't going to pass away as God says. 1) God's words 2) God's love. Everything else seems to have an expiration that we can see portrayed in scripture.

Hi brother, im a member of the church in the Netherlands. I came across your vids a couple of months ago and I think its pretty sad the way you had to leave the church. I treuly salut you for the way you compose yourself and share your thoughts and knowledge on this channel. I pray you will be blessed and find your way even further in the gospel man. I just want to ask you a random question about the 28.16 minutes mark. On the thousands and tens of thousands. I was just studying on the Menasse and Ephraim blessings by their grandfather. These blessings also speak those words... Do you think that they have anything to do with eachother? And also, from which journal is this and where can I actually find them? ...Ive got a little library here at home, but yours seem to be a bit larger... greetz, Sjaak.

Thank you for the thoughts. There is a lot of overlap between different prophecies. If I search the Joseph Smith papers project then that was a fairly common phrase to mean a lot. It seems to also be the language in the Book of Mormon in a few places. Every video I do I have a link to the article, in the description, with all the source links as well. I could create a document repository of everything I have on my blog. Basically when ever I find anything that might be useful, for or against, then I try to get a digital copy because I never know if it will be available in the future.

How can “establish a house of prayer, a house of fasting… etc.” possibly mean “Build a temple? To “Establish” has 8 definitions in the 1828 Webster’s. Exactly zero of them have anything to do with erecting a building. Instead, establish means to confirm, to set up, to settle, to found, to decree, to make firm, to fix, etc. None of these have anything to do with building any building.
@Hala-ataa
@Hala-ataa 8 месяцев назад
Yes, the 2nd definition could carry implications of “erecting.” But the examples given are of colonies or empires. So “erecting” is not the same as building. It’s to make permanent the name and the system of the empire/colony. Construction is only one necessary element of that. If the empire elements of establishing were synonymous with establishing, then “planning” would be a proper substitute as well. Or managing. Or occupying. Or whatever.
@uncorrelatedmormonism
@uncorrelatedmormonism 8 месяцев назад
That is a valid point. Joseph interpreted it to mean build a temple. I think also the process of revelation is mental as well as verbal. You may get certain words and then different thoughts in your mind. "Establish a house" could of course mean a lot of different things. "Establish" means a lot of things. "House" means a lot of things. This is the danger in analyzing things after the fact. Every word could have multiple meanings. Lehi could have interpreted "depart into the wilderness" as a mental departure and not a physical one. Nephi could have interpreted "construct a ship" as a request to plan it in his mind. I do think "Establish a house" certainly could mean build a permanent structure.
@uncorrelatedmormonism

@@Hala-ataa D&C 95 seems to confirm that building a permanent structure was the correct choice.

@@outlawedmedia4336 Completely serious question. Assume you hallucinate through alcohol, LSD, mushrooms, or whatever, how do you know if that is not a "truer" reality than the one we perceive daily? @@uncorrelatedmormonismprobably not a good thing showing how drunkards are condemned frequently in scripture. And given our extremely developed understanding on how and why drugs effect the brain.
