The Importance of World Environment Day 

World Environment Day is observed every year on the 5th of June. Back in 1972, the UN chose this date and also created the United Nations Environment Programme. Every year more and more people observe this day and follow the theme chosen by the UN. This year the theme was Land Restoration, Desertification, and Drought Resilience.
