Jay is such a fantastic character. Every episode he comes up with at least one disgusting, sexist phrase which is funny af. Gotta keep watching these mate. Yeah and defo IT crowd.

Love your infectious laugh and reaction to this brilliant show, which is becoming a national treasure here - well amongst many malefolk at least. It still cracks me up everytime I watch it - and I've seen them all umpteen times over the last decade. You'd think being in my late 40's I'd perhaps be too grown up for this - but have to say this is how it was even back then in my day - the show captures young adolescent life in England so well. I'd wager most of us here in the UK relate to it on some level. And the casting is like a planetary alignment - absolutely perfect - you couldn't have had a better cast and that includes the parents and Mr Gilbert too. But Jay is off the charts good and is my personal favourite character. As the series and films unfold, beyond all that teenage bravado, front, cockiness and over-confidence his teenage vulnerabilities and insecurities are occasionally exposed and there are some real tender moments. It's crafted really well. Comedy gold and always a great pick-me-up! Look forward to you watching some more, it really is great to see it works on the other side of the pond too.

For me The Inbetweeners is one of the best comedies to come out of the UK. Like The Office, this is one of a few shows I can watch on repeat and still laugh every time. You will fall in love with it!

I’m so happy that you’re loving this! You may not know, but the creators of the Inbetweeners (Iain Morris & Damon Beasley), used to work with Ricky Gervais and constantly mocked Ricky & vice versa. You’ll see in a subsequent episode of Extras, that Ricky pays homage to them by calling two of the producer characters Iain & Damon! Love your work! 😂

Fun fact about the inbetweeners....the 2 writers have written this based off their lives and friends of theirs....most of the stuff you see in the episodes is genuinely based of something happen at some point in their lifes .

There's a show called Misfits that was a popular show here in the UK, I think you'd like it. Search for "Misfits Nathan" and you'll get a good taste of the type of comedy:) It can be a dark programme but has a lot of laughs!
