On this Martin Luther King Jr. Day, WNYC’s Kai Wright, Michael Hill and Brian Lehrer for the 18th annual celebration of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. in a live-streamed MLK special.
In collaboration with the Apollo Theater and March on Washington Film Festival, this year’s event, “The Inconvenient King” examines the history of the word "woke" in the context of Dr. King’s work to build awareness, action and urgency around injustice and discrimination.
