Sure Cillian is great and deserves more recognition but… Whishaw delivered a top-notch performance as dr Kay, he is simply one of the finest actors of his generation. Well-deserved award

Come guys, I adore Cillian and his acting but it wasn't his year. Ben told a story that needed telling about the NHS and its awesome staff and their day-to-day struggles and heartbreak, he did it with passion, dignity and authenticity and truly deserved this award.

Not only the NHS but the awareness about medical professionals, practitioners and their struggles in their field sheds light of how self inflicting and pressured their work can be on this show was so refreshing.

The person who said Cillian has been robbed clearly never know who ben whishaw is. Even kit harrington admit that he is copied his acting style. And I have brits friends who went to acting school and they said even their teachers told them that Ben Whishaw is the perfect role model as an actor. Ben is one of the best actors of his generation, it made sense for him to win. Cillian is a great actor, but just because he’s popular right now and has acted in a long running series doesn’t mean he should win.
