She may have enjoyed working with Robert Hooke, since he illustrated a book about the smallest things too.

I would love a full lecture on her life and work, wouldn’t mind it at all.

MSM was a brilliant analyst and synthesist of the lives and insects and their environments. It's wonderful that she's beginning to receive more recognition in the public domain, and hats off to the Royal Society for highlighting her work. That said, it's a shame that, in typical BBC fashion, the producers opted to focus on many of today's socially acceptable buzzwords, rather than delve more deeply into her actual work. This benefits none of us, and perhaps least of all this great woman of science. BBC Licence Fee, anyone? ;-)

I would love to read her books and look at the Illustrations, I hope they still exist in full in an archive somewhere and have been scanned/ copied so the public can see them all.

I'm currently studying in Trinity College in Dublin, Ireland, and they have a copy of one of her early printed books in full colour (it was actually how I learned about her to begin with - I saw one of the illustrations in a lecture). You might be able to request access as a visiting student, if you're currently in college.
