Jace's story is by far the greatest of all so far. Finding out he did reunite with his mother after all that time and then tricking the trickstar himself just is mindblowing. To be honest I'm wondering what happened to Jace's faith to Lilliana and why he fell in love with vraska.

When Jace escaped to Ixalan and lost his mind again after fighting Bolas on Amonkhet he was taken in by Vraska, at first as a ploy as they were now stuck and couldn't planeswalk because of the immortal sun but they basically fell in love. Then there was an accident that caused all Jace's memories to come back, including the previously lost Vryn memories, which complicated things but Liliana had a appeared to betray everyone after DOM and her final demon was slain and Bolas came to pick her up and then of course was working with him to invade Ravnica. Obviously that was because of the contract but she basically left and escaped to Arcavios and Jace and Vraska reunited and remembered their love on Ixalan.

MTG lore is cool on the surface but that's about it. Take Jace's story in this video for example. They wanted Phyrexian Jace so they made it. But Jace needs to be Jace in future sets so they let him fix himself. It's just silly. Perfect for comic book style stories but anything deeper than that and it is nonsense. Early MtG has a ton of potential actually. If they explored movies or books it would have to be Urza's story or something similar.

Huh. I missed that Jace had gone back to Vryn. I know there have been other pressing matters, but I'm kind of surprised he didn't head home soon after getting off Ixalan, considering he had just finally remembered that that was where he was born and raised.

Jace always saw it coming... except when Emrakul said "Im bored, you are boring me. Ill lock myself in this moon for the shits and giggles." Jace is always tree steps ahead... unfortunately Bolas what 10 steps ahead and clapped his cheeks. Jace is always ready with a spell swindle... until some werewolves did not buy his illusions and chase him by smell... then some met lilianas zombies that could not be tricked with illusions... then barely hold his ground against Avacyn... Man he really had a bad time in Innistrad.

I thought you did a good job at discovery of lore that was quick and to the point. I haven’t been able to find the lore after what happened on new phyrexia. I wouldn’t mind if you extended these to 20-30 min episodes to include more to go more in depth.

Great content, CGB. As for MTG lore... it is as souless as a phyrexian and equally dead. Wotc did not care about creating and maintaining its characters and world coherent as workshop did with 40K lore.
