The Incredibles Characters: Good to Evil
In 2004, The Incredibles quickly made itself a fan favorite in the Pixar universe. If everyone is taught to hide what makes them special, then ultimately no one is able to rise above the masses and make a difference. This family of superheroes has made a lasting impression on the Disney/Pixar universe. Their world is made up of supers and villains, but there's also a lot of grey area.
In a universe where people are scolded for having powers and there's a special task force to hide good deeds... where do these characters fall on the morality scale?

actually while yes it may be a selfish reason he became evil if you listen to the quote "anyone can be super, everyone will be super, and when everyone is super, no one will be" meaning like Evelyn he is trying to show people were becoming too reliant on superheros and need to learn to stand up for themselves he only killed supers because he wanted to show that they are not immortal and are just like everyone else and then he wanted to clear supers out of the equation so people would only rely on themselves and each other. So while yes he was bad in the way he executed his plan I think he had good intentions.

@@moret25 Syndrome ruthlessly unleashed his plans on the city too. And at least Evelyn had *somewhat* sensible motives. She was right about that her father was overdependent on supers, and grieved over him, so she wanted to illegalize superheroes (although that's still pretty evil, particularly with those innocents at risk). Syndrome? He outright murdered multiple superheroes *AND* threatened innocents, just because he was arbitrarily rejected and humiliated by one damn idol super of his.

I was very surprised to see that Evelyn is more eviler than Syndrome even she attempted murder and didn’t actually killed anyone. I was very much expecting Syndrome taking the gold medal because he almost killed all the Supers. Now don’t get me wrong, Evelyn is my favorite characters from the series, but I was expecting her to be in second place.

same! Evelyn just wanted supers to be illegal. I hate to say it but some people just hate superheroes (J Jonah Jameson in spiderman) Syndrome was a ruthless character with no soul. He didn't feel bad for anyone and truly has a mental psychotic problem.

I would've swapped Evelyn and Syndrome. Evelyn became bad because of burglars killing her parents when supers couldn't come, and she is shown to have compassion. Syndrome is very likely to be mentally ill. Obsessive, selfish, showing not a single sign of compassion, more possessive than romantic with Mirage... he is legit evil. He probably would've still been evil should Mr Incredible have treated him nicely. And, I mean... he ALREADY was obsessive and selfish before that night of '62. Just listen to what Bob says, he was already showing creepy, mentally unstable, stalker red flags. Evelyn is just a good gal who lived one bad day.

Bernie Kropp reminds me so much of Mr. Crocker from The Fairly OddParents - The glasses, the "nerdy" type persona, and the obsessive way he aims to determine that a superpowered/supernatural element in the world exists. Building off what's said in the video, regarding Mirage, it's true that it's easy to see her as an ultimately noble character by the film's end when really, she still did things that are hugely terrible - She aided a serial killer. Her character actually comes off as a bit too good to not be a bit bothered by aiding so many murders, but I guess she just turned a blind eye to it, so she wouldn't risk being a bit emotionally affected. Her clearly morally shady character doesn't seem like the type that would be fine with jail time at all, and considering her crimes, she'd be put away for a long time. It would've been nice to know what happened to her - I assume she fled after helping the Incredibles, to escape the police. I think the film probably avoided giving us a conclusion of her story as it wouldn't fit in well with the optimistic tone created by her redemption arc.

*Two-hundredth* I swear I’m not the only one who (incredibly) prefers The Incredibles over its only sequel because most of the characters were way more in-character than in the sequel. I think Browntable explained it best how The Incredibles (no pun intended) are actually different in each movie.

Even though you ranked Syndrome as more evil than Evelyn in Pixar Villains: Evil to Most Evil, how come you ranked Evelyn as more evil on this list? 1. Evelyn cared about her family. 2. Syndrome has no redeeming qualities, and just after Mr. Incredible put him in the car, Syndrome incinerated all of his redeeming qualities. 3. Syndrome is petty. 4. Syndrome’s motive doesn’t justify his actions. He committed genocide on superheroes, attempted to kill Mr. Incredible’s family (WITH CHILDREN!!!), and also tried to destroy a city only because Mr. Incredible doesn’t need his help.

Yes I agree, the Underminer bombed banks and lowered them into the ground, destroyed a few cars and stole money, and that was for fun, Syndrome doesn’t belong in the public eye because of how evil he is: commits genocide on super heroes, attempts to murder children and kidnap children on multiple fronts, just because Mr. Incredible rejected him as a kid, built a robot to kill heroes at all costs, cared for no one but himself, and pretty much would let the world burn before ever giving up on killing super heroes, yea: Syndrome is the most evil here

Yeah...Syndrome is way more evil. Evelyn's hatred for heroes was at least justified in a way since her parents relied on them too much when eventually lead to their deaths when one didn't show up. Syndrome's wasn't as he started to hate heroes because his idol blew him off.

in my opinion, i feel like syndrome is more evil than Screenslaver. What made syndrome more evil was the fact that he didn't even care about his helper and that Bob could've killed her. Syndrome is a frightful character since he has such good technology and evil motives to get what he wants (almost). He killed so many superheroes and got away as a "hero". He is the most evil Pixar villain

I think Syndrome should’ve been the most evil. Evelyn’s actions and hatred maybe contemptible, but at least there was a kernel of nobility in her plan, wanting humanity to stop relying on heroes only to die like her parents did. Syndrome, on the other hand, is just evil, top to bottom. He lured, and killed almost every super just out of hatred and his ego. All because Mr. incredible rightfully told him off for his own safety, not leaving much of any sympathy on his part. He has no regard for human life, not caring that his missiles were about to kill a plane full of kids, or that Bob was about to kill his partner.

1. Helen is socially polite, but she also restrained her kids from being themselves, jumped into conclusions about her husband, she later learns to be more supportive. In incredibles 2 she's basically modern harley quinn and movie mistique. Suddenly the nicest person ever! Yay! 2. Bob is exactly how you described him, except that he tried to force violet with Tony, just so she can like superheroes again! Atleast he's not as low as vader. 3. Speaking of violet. Yeah, she wants freedom & has strong emotions! But what you forgot was the fact that in incredibles 2 she harrasses tony, she's an asshole to Bob, she quits being a hero, all because of a stupid reason! 4. Dash is surprisingly well described here. 👍 But why is he lower than human, female, early, movie sonic? 5. Why the hell is tony lower than winston?

It's dosent make sense why Syndrome isn't gold metal of Evil. He almost killed all super heroes, He tried to kill the Incredibles, He tried to kill Mr Incredible 3 times, He tried to kidnap and kill Jack Jack, Made a killer robot twice to kill superheroes, He also try to kill Elyven and He wanted super heroes gone. Syndrome is actually more evil than Screenslaver. He was so self-entitled, reckless and beyond ghastly as it was basically his fault that Mr. Incredible and the rest of the superheroes were forced to go underground almost forever. And yes, I’m talking about when Mr. Incredible saved his life from a bomb placed on his cape that was attached by Bomb Voyage. The bomb shortly caused severe destruction on a nearby railroad. The fact that Mr. Incredible rejected him simply because of his lack of experience was far from tragic unlike Screenslaver, whose father was killed as a superhero. It’s safe to say that Syndrome was in a way, responsible for the death of Screenslaver’s own father. I only sympathize with Screenslaver and not Syndrome, although the writers chose not to redeem Screenslaver. People who view these villains need to rewatch the films and look at it from the villains’ perspectives and the nefarious things they did in response to what happened to them.

I watched this video then the Pixar one and literally had to come back here to see if I misremembered who they put in #1, because it was just not adding up. Which is why this rating makes no sense. How do they rationalize giving him #1 of all Pixar villain (which he deserves) but won't even give him #1 in his own movie/franchise?? That's what people are saying.

The ambassador seemed more moral than Dicker, but she had less screen time. Dicker seemed to be bitter in doing his job (which is understandable because it would cause a lot of headaches). She just seemed nice, if a bit too naive
