Fun Fact: Ho Chi Minh actually wanted the Kuomintang to help Ho in order to make Vietnam independent, however, Chiang didn't really like Ho Chi Minh and basically imprisoned him for 18 months.

very good, Kudos! I especially like how you showed the Thai conquests were returned to Indochina in the beginning, and later the drug lord holdings in N Thailand/Laos/Burma. nice. I do wish you had made the text in the upper right larger, the country labels were hard to see.

I don’t think most Americans realize how much war indochina has gone through. The ladder half of the 20th century was just a long string of wars but most just know the war between the US and Vietnam

Im so glad you included Khun Sa and republic of china druglords in the mix. I don't understand the US division between west and east on the khmer rouge and front of oppressed races on the map, but interesting. 2:33 is a nice attention to the Parcel Islands where the Republic of Vietnam fought a naval battle with the PRC in the midst of fighting North Vietnam.

@@Magicboy1107Stop spreading misinformation. Cambodia lost that land before the French came to Indochina. During the Nguyen Dynasty, Dai Viet have some expansion wars to the South that called "March to the South" or "Nam Tiến" in Vietnamese. Us Vietnamese even conquered the whole Cambodia and annexed it into our territory and called it "Trấn Tây Thành". Yeah, you heard that right. Cambodia was actually a part of Vietnam. If the French didn't come and splited the territories in the region then Cambodia would still be a part of Vietnam today. So France basically saved Cambodia from Vietnam 🤣🤣

This is a simplistic view of history based on declarations during dwindling Soviet occupation and the real situation of these three occupied countries wasn't any different from each other as they were liberated with the failure of the August coup in 1991.
