i love this bag! and WHAT'S WRONG WITH AN UNLINED TOTE?? NOTHING!!! I LOVE IT!!! I DESIGN AND CREATE CANVAS TOTE BAGS AND THIS ONE IS RIGHT UP MY ALLY! I WOULD LOVE TO MAKE THIS!!
I'm working on making this bag right now and really enjoying it . . . except for the skiving. I've already decided I'm going to buy a bell skiver. I can't wait to see your next pattern for leather!
Wow, that bag is a thing of great beauty and I really enjoyed watching the video. Not that I’ll ever be able to make a bag like it but it’s really interesting watching different skills being put to use. Well done Adam!
I really like the design and think of buying the pattern. But is there a reason why you do not mention hand-stitching, because that is what I would do.
I also love hand stitching leather but we designed this with a machine in mind. So you could hand stitch it but the pattern doesn’t include instructions for it
Even though I have a Fabricator, I'm not quite brave enough to make this out of expensive leather. I'm wondering if it could be made out of Sailrite's heavy waxed canvas. What do you think Adam?
Possibly for the main bag if you excluded the pockets and zip panel. If you have a leather supplier nearby the often have old pieces that they sell cheap
Hello, thank you for your information. I am a beginner and your video helps me a lot. Could you please give me a link to where you buy the leather and which one you used in the video? Thank you very much
Gorgeous, really beautiful stitching! Wow…perfection. You said Tex 90 thread, what was your stitch length? And would you recommend a needle size for sewing with leather? The green and brown is absolutely beautiful. Thank you, you both are amazing teachers!
Thank you very much for the reply! I’ve been making your small airline travel bag in waxed canvas, love it so much as does everyone who see it! Thanks again
also what sise grooving tool did you use to create the groove line? looking online and there are 3 sizes 0.8mm, 1mm and 1.2mm (curious 2 know which you use in this tutorial) [thank you] video is super helpful just wondering some specificities here
