I have been looking for a list of fun/light games that you can have a conversation during or that spark conversation (that is not directly tied to the game). I would love to see a top ten list on this!

Continuing to flip a coin just for the sake of trying to win more doesn't make logical sense. There is risk-reward being played out. And you are losing money, because you are losing that which you've already won. You could do this test in real life by going to a casino with a roulette wheel, bet on odd/even or red/black. That would double your bet. How long do you keep going before you are not willing to bet that amount on the risk? Fun Story: I don't gamble, but someone I dated had a gambling addict mother, and we went to a casino. I set for myself I would only gamble $20. I went a roulette wheel, put $20 on black (Wesley Snipes said you always bet on black), figure I either lose $20 or walk away with $40. It came up green 0. So I was destined to lose no matter which of the basic bets I did (red/black, even/odd).

Hahah fair analogy. And tough pill on the green. Stay away from gambling with that luck!

We just started this game as well and we love it!! Wanted to say if you do enjoy the puzzly, thinky, escape roomy aspect of this one I HIGHLY suggest Box One from Theory 11 designed by Neil Patrick Harris. It is a solo experience and it was super fun and unique and immersive. Zero replayablity but in my opinion still worth every penny I paid. (Not not replayable, nothing is destroyed, just not replayable for you once you know all the secrets)

I bought this game, we have played the first three missions. I have played this with my son and wife. I would think it would be less fun with two, we have enjoyed using the different characters. Also, I may not be remembering the rules correctly, but I think you can use your special ability twice per turn, it would just take all four of your cards. I enjoyed it more than they did. A few of the surprises that came out I was like...oh that's cool. Really excited to dig deeper into it. My impression may change as I get deeper into the game. My biggest critiques I felt like the story in the comic book might be a little too mamby pamby "after school special" type. Also the plastic stands for the standees were CRAZY hard to fit the cardboard into and it damaged some. No biggie, and I'm still very pleased with the purchase and looking forward to discovering more secrets with my family.

You are correct on the special ability, nice catch. We haven’t played at 3 but definitely prefer at 2 over 4. I don’t think we had any issues with the standees either. Keep us posted as you move along in the game!

The Initiative is waiting at my friendly local game store. I've seen it on the shelf, as if lying in wait. The light penetrates the film-noir gloom to illuminate its cover art, and it calls to me. It wants me as much as I want it. I hear its siren song even now and soon, very soon, I will have no choice but to obey.

This is ironic. There were three new games released in 2020 called The Key, that are about solving mysteries. The Key: Sabotage at Lucky Llama Land The Key: Theft at Cliffrock Villa The Key: Murder at the Oakdale Club Tom Vassal enjoyed the games, rated them well.

Looks good. Is there anything destroyed while playing?
@thepresteign8427

J/J wouldn’t know this cause they got that stacked W column, but if you lose a certain mission the game does tell you to remove a specific card from the deck - but to hide it with the secret cards NOT actually destroy it. After the 15-mission campaign there are 24 post-missions you can play. I’m barely ahead of The Meeps so haven’t finished the story yet or peeked ahead but I’m very curious how the post-campaign missions are difficulty-wise. The story thus far has added numerous little obstacles along the way but never more than one at a time. If the post missions stack on numerous obstacles at once they might be tricky enough for “The Key” to stand alone as a game after the story of “The Initiative” is done.

I wouldn’t say, destroy but definitely some “stuff” happens ;)
