Hi Everyone! in this video i test the Inmotion RS Electric Hyper Scooter. i hope you enjoy the video as i give you my opinion on how it performed with me on it.
@@THEAVERAGEGUY1983 yea it was even worse considering they said it would originally be delivered end of August, but they decided to make a new kickstand and replace the old one before shipping them out so it was delayed over a month. I'm upgrading from a 3 yr old ninebot max so this thing is gonna be worth the wait
Brother well said. I agree with you 100% my friend and we'll go further to say that either the scooter was rushed in which a lot of them are and they didn't think this out because clearly this needs an e r r e x steering damper. When you're writing on quality you want to have Quality Parts backing you with full confidence
It was!!!! It was very well hidden in the corner with Alien Rides lol! I loved the twist throotle way better than the trigger one. Even the thumb throotle scooters felt great.
@THEAVERAGEGUY1983 I saw Paul with his RS also. But this one was squeaking so bad but the low clearance makes it feel more connected to the ground. I really like it tho it's fast and the brakes are really good.
@jemorebb yeah the squeak was from the steering damper for sure. I actually liked this RS so much too over the GTR. The GTR did have a softer suspension but........ i didn't know where the RS was set to since the front and rear suspension are adjustable too. 😎👌
Hi ,not anymore as this was like a Pre order special when they first came out. But you can definitely use my code: TAG1983MIDNIGHT at check out to get $200.00 off on the RS Midnight or the Midnight Lite. I know its not as much as the old $500 off code but still pretty decent. I became an affiliated partners of VoroMotors to help anyone save some money wherever possible. 🙏
Brother your decision-making is a little bit different. Dude..granted the GTR has a quick burst of speed, but the damage done to that battery over time is tremendous. Ask Ginger. $300 off on RS. From the looks of it you bought an RS. Looks good. Keep up the good work
It seems the overall build quality (battery packaging, design, customization potential), reliability, and versatility favors the RS. While highly capable, the GTR use-case is more off-road focused. The (GTR) rim-motor decoupling concept is awesome. I wonder if the RS experienced rim-damage - if the entire motor-wheel would require replacement? I also like the fact that Inmotion is a leader in the EUC market - where engineering, distribution, manufacturing, support, supply-chain, etc. are established. The RS appears to have an overall “polish” over the GTR. Thoughts?
@conanvalente6367 i agree, i do like the GTR and how easy it is to change a flat, Yogi Steve from Electric Scooter Academy got a flat on his GTR but mentioned that the rim bent from the high speed after it popped. As for the RS having the rim bending, its definitely possible but wont know if the motor would also need replacement as well till it eventually happens to me. I am going to do my best to avoid that lol
I didn't get a chance to test it out at the event, so i wouldn't want to buy anything i can't test out first. Similar to a car, I also went with the RS because the stem assembly and deck are height adjustable.
Brother I tightened that RS steering dampener up as much as I can all the way to the right and there's absolutely no difference in the steering whatsoever none
I agree with you 100% i did another test ride off camera after doing the same thing and it only improved it slightly. There are a few users who have modified their steering damper by adding some type of 1/8" or 1/4" thick rubber square piece to each end of the steering damper with glue to help keep the steering damper a whole lot more stable. At speed 2/ Drive mode which goes up to 41Mph on my display, probably 40Mph in real life, it did great but increase the speed and you will definitely get wobble specially in gear 4. Gear 3 has improved and goes up to 50Mph with very little wobble now but Im going to be talking to inmotion about this as well. I bought my scooter at VoroMotors but they have nothing to do with the design of the steering damper. That falls hard on inmotion and they gotta have a better solution for this. Other then that this is a super good scooter zero squeaky sounds on mine lol.
Definitely the RS you wont regret it! Plus its on sale at VoroMotors, right now you can get $500 off the $4k price using Rider Guide code (RGMIDNIGHT) OR Electric Scooters Academy (ESAMIDNIGHT)
@Vosovogalsyncope the Dualtron Thunder 3 is a nice scooter too, i just dont like that 28 hours charge time with the standard charger it comes with. At $4,500.00 it should come with a charger that can at least charge in in 8 hours. 😅
@@THEAVERAGEGUY1983 you got to have a little of both. Fast charger when you are on the go. Trickle charge while you're making bbq and waiting on that friend that is always late.
I will pay money to trade displays. I don'tike the cheap one they replaced it with. I got mine today. I also don'tike the throttle. I have new pain in my right arm lol
@conanvalente6367 nope. We will be getting a different display where you can change the information from metric to imperial for the speedometer, Odometer and trip information. Also the consumer version is getting USB C power delivery to charge your smartphone on the go. The review unit didn't get that add on. 😎👍
@@THEAVERAGEGUY1983 | Thank you for the prompt response and perspective! Also, I suspect electronic components have a degree of interchangeability (lights, controls, etc.). To promote platform longevity and customization - do you know if scooter manufacturers publish electrical interoperability data to support component upgrades/modifications? I hope the PEV market matures to define/adopt standards, such as the cycling market. Such a move may reduce waste, extend product lifespan, while promoting after market/secondary market value.
@@THEAVERAGEGUY1983| ATM, I have a RS-ME on pre-order. Reviews like yours (and others) and comments, were critical in making a “leap-of-faith” buying-decision. Thank you and the community!
Hahahaha yeah this version had a very bad steering damper design, it was made of pure rubber so it was Squeaking everywhere 😆 the version of the RS i have does not have that problem 😁👍
Attention; This is what's wrong with this scooter. They have a problem with the steering damper. They need an E r r e x stearing damper. What they have doesn't do enough. DANGEROUS SHAKES
What a cheap piece of crap wait till u put some miles on it its gonna fall apart it sounds like such shit its squeaking like crazy because the folding mechanism not the steering damper!
Hehehe, yeah, it did sound like crap. I bought one and will be putting some miles in mine soon. Let's see if it does better as the Midnight version is Revision 2 with a few changes to it.
