interesting. just for the record for others that have left comments. Grenada has plenty properties that are standing empty.most of the buyers that buy these properties are in retirement age.hoping one day there children.will take over the house and keep the maintenance of the building. however they have other ideas. and plans for their future. beautiful as Grenada is. its hard to make a living.unless you rent the house out.depending on location. now in terms of not allowing foreign buying houses.is wrong.it good for the island.money starts flowing into the economy...so please do your research before you start talking nonsense. buying
Given the size of Grenada Is there ANY LAND PLANNING in place so that we don't just sell every thing to the HIGHEST BIDDERS. 80% OF GRENADIANS WOULD NEVER OWN A PIECE OF LAND. IT HAS NOW BECOME AND ISLAND FOR THE FEW VERY PRESTIGIOUS PEOPLE, RETURNIES AND THE RICH. COST OF LIVING HIGHER THAT MOUNTAIN CATHERINE. MOST GRENADIANS MAKE LESS THAN A 1000 EC DOLLARS (APPROXIMATELY US 270 TO 280) WATER, LIGHT, TRANSPORTATION, COOKING GAS, SCHOOL FEES, ETC. SO I DON'T GET HOW THESE PEOPLE SURVIVE TO BUY A LAND MUCH LESS TO EVEN START PUTTING A HOUSE ON IT. GRENADA WOULD BE SOLD OUT AND THE LOCAL PEOPLE IN THE ISLAND WOULD EVENTUALLY BECOME DESPERATE and..... That can only lead to one thing. UNEMPLOYMENT IN GRENADA IS HIDDEN BUT ITS A MASSIVE PROBLEM BREWING.
