Cancelling Aqua teen was completely idiotic. Sure the show has some bad episodes, but overall the quality is still there. We got a show that was cheap to create, with a large fanbase, and creators who still wanna create and haven't lost their passion for it. Yet let's cancel it because "it's time to move on" this is the equivalent of comedy Central cancelling South Park, and when asked why the did so, they just say "eh, just because" like why.....
I feel like it was both idiotic and a good thing. People got burned out of it...shouldn't have canceled it but it sounds like they were just tired of making it and ready to do something better.....Maybe they should have shelved it every other year. But the new stuff seems like it has completely forgot what made it good in the first place....the broodwhich episode was brilliant...then they did a throw back...where they had another broodwhich. And that episode was moronic.
Adult swim shows felt like hangs...Id watch them with my friends stoned so much that when id view them alone, it genuinely felt like i was in a room with ppl just chilling...nostalgia doesnt describe it really, these shows transport me to a very specific time
what does hangs mean? I feel like people think it transports them to a time...but in reality. It turns our brain on in a way that only happens with these type of shows. It doesn't make me feel like im 10 years old again. But it does make my brain, both the 13 year old me and the...37 year old me. It doesn't need a time, because my childhood is definitely not something I would want to relive...its not the time or the memories. It's what the program is...nostalgia definitely isn't something I like. But this show does bring back good memories. But its from the show...so if its the show and not the years, it has nothing to do with time or nostalgia, rather a bit of sane insanity, in a world of just insanity.

Patiently waiting for him to get to Hand Banana. My little brother and i would watch every episode, we still quote ATHF constantly lol. The movie is also one of only 3 I've ever gone back to the theater to watch again, all my buddies and i went loaded and loved it so much we wanted to support it a second time. Also best movie intro ever.
you apparently need to learn how to talk without cussing.....I can post hundreds if not thousands of ATHF quotes and not be censored or anything...but then again there are little cowards out there that say, oh you can't say that or you will be on a list... There was a certain attempted assasin that wasn't on ANY lists....and he did kill some some one. Nothing of what ATHF says will ever get you on a list or banned. I been watching since episode 1 on day(night) 1. I didn't know they had merch...not that I would buy it, I aint a sucker..it seems insane to make any merch. Specially since its not for kids, and kids are the ones who supposed to play with toys...so clothes and bedding?

They 100% played the episode "Total Re-Carl" in reruns the most. I fuzzily remember wasting several years of my early 20s, baked, watching ATHF reruns nightly and I saw this episode the most. The part where Carl, with a body made completely of eyeballs, painfully stumbles towards Frylock in an effort to embrace him into the shadow realm is burned into my brain til me final days.
The biggest weakness to ATHF is that the landscape has changed, it's approach was fresh but now almost every cartoon is doing it. If ATHF were to make a comeback, it would be ironically fresh to make it like a typical cartoon from the 00's
I get why someone might call Glenn Danzig a "metal guy," especially considering his solo work, but we are talking about the original singer and front man for The Misfits here. He's that punk rock guy to diehard Danzig fans. That punk rock guy that made the best crossover metal albums next to Lemmy from Motörhead.
This was the ultimate Adult Swim cartoon for me, in that it was an underline of everything I associated with the channel I was sure I wasn't supposed to watch it even though it wasn't super dirty It had a weird energy that was made even weirder at 2 AM And I never really got the point of it
This is one of the greatest shows ever made, but yeah... if you try to explain it to someone who has never seen it, they just look at you like you're an alien, or they get worried about your mental health.
I think this show is a good way to tell if some one has an imagination or is a crazy psycho. Imagination is more than just pretending, its making things up that could be real....psychos just accept it and don't ask question. So most who won't watch on the grounds that its inanimate food objects, probably have very little creativity and are kinda more than just boring.
wheres all the jersey shore? That's just as accurate....Maybe its like Portlandia. Its made about Portland, the people and situations are very Portland like. But as some one from Portland , I hate the show...but its right. So they ignore the show that's just like it, in favor of a good show that barely touches base... I've used so many lines from this show, it's just such a bountiful tree of sorts that pours forth the fruit of cool shit to say. I've practically incorporated a few into my regular, day-to-day vernacular! One in particular I love to fall back on in the occasional morning here and there when I'm not fully booted up for the work day. Master Shake provided the best quote for these such times which I get to relay to a coworker or two on my general disposition being: "It feels like one of those days where I just want to wake up, run towards the nearest living thing and kill it." I was in college when these began airing new, saw the premier live and was hooked. Did an entire presentation on the benefits of Chambraigne (referencing both the SGCtC and ATHF episodes with the brains). My confused prof thankfully had an appreciation for the absurd… 🧠

A talking milkshake a blob of meat and a side order of fries, who , technically are a crime fighting team, but barely ever fight crime, more often just hang out at their house and get into nonsense. They each have super powers but only the fries are useful, the meat can shapeshift but only into 3 shapes, most rarely the samurai Abe Lincoln. The shake can pump a tiny bit of milkshake thru his straw. Really the best character though will be their neighbor, Carl. Everyone will agree on that. Really it makes less than zero sense and yet…. I love MC Chris, was playing his first couple albums earlier today. Saw him live however many years ago, was a great show, good dude. His new stuff is kid focused iirc? But he was always crazy talented and fun imo.
This show started when I was in my 20's. I remember watching it and going, 'what the actual f*** am I watching?? What is happening right now?' Soooo good.

This show has been my comfort show for two decades 😂. I just picked up a "new" dvd collection of the complete series at a yard sale. Itried to show it to my bf, and he didn't speak for ten minutes after the last episode ended. I'm glad to see Im not the last ATHF fan on earth.
I actually got to see MC Chris live, and it was one of the greatest shows I’ve ever ever been to. He was excellent and such a nice guy. He 100% performed the I want candy song and of course the Boba Fett song. 😂
One of my favorite animated shows, even some of the voice actors are weird IRL. Miss this show along with Venture Bros, Metalocalypse, Harvey Birdman Attorney at Law, etc.
I’ve been watching ATHF from day one. I loved Sealab and Home Movies. It dawned on me the other day I’ve been watching it for 24 years. Pretty sure I’ve been brainwashed at this point. I love all the iterations of the show but the first few seasons especially. Kidney Car never gets old. The haunted TV episode. The episode where Meatwad gets psychic powers from caulk. I can quote them all. Wisdom cubes. Ol Drippy. Shake’s insane rants and threats. Carl’s perpetual victimhood. Meatwad’s wife and kids. The bathroom situation. It never ends.
