Greetings to you sir and everyone out there.i worked with leather for my bow grips, but I came to learn that your way is far better than mine.i am changing my style to yours.especially for the strike plate style.thank you mr.pettit for the lesson
@@meadowlarkadventuregear I live in a place where it's hard to find fiber glass (to make bows) but bamboo are found in abundance. And there is nobody in RU-vid that makes bows the way you makes. I have seen bamboo backing but bamboo on it's belly side is very rare to find in RU-vid. And you have made different styles (especially modern style )of bows just by using natural materials. This winter I am planing to make a reflect deflex bow by watching your video. But it's gonna be challenging. But I will try. I really appreciate your effort towards your Art
Grip looks great, much better than trying to cut in small shelves on both sides of the handle. One question is how long does a leather strike plate last you?
I’ve not actually had a leather strike plate wear out on me. The one that wore through on my Scythian build was a piece of adhesive leather from an upholstery repair kit. I cheated on both accounts and now my car seat looks about as good as the strike plate did in that video…
