It’s really interesting to hear people have this issue with music whereas I personally have trouble learning other peoples music because I get antsy and impatient??? But sometimes the urge to want to learn from others is really prevalent but idk. Having ADHD makes me impatient and I always end up noodling away or trying to end up making my own stuff/improv. I don’t know how to fix this but I think this video was a really good step in the right direction. It was you, Scott, who really solidified the ideas behind basic things like running scales, and why stuff sounds that way. Love u dude!
Yeah same I learned the fretboard finally yet I've never played somebody else's lead really. I have kinda using Rocksmith but haven't committed any to memory yet
I was happy to hear you say that writing your own music is a way to get out of the rut. It's been great learning all my favorite songs and riffs from my youth but after nearly 5 years, I finally got the urge to start working on my own voice a couple of months ago. Thanks for this video.
I don't know how many realize the teaching skills this Gentleman has. Won't be long b4 he's acquired the dreams he can't even imagine now... teaching humans how to create musical stories and explaining how to translate energy with tone... Scott, your a God! 👏 Amazing to watch you work! I am so thankful for you. I'll try to be an example of your teachings.... 🎉
Cannot even tell you how much I enjoyed the whole stream. There were so many take aways for me personally and as an old guy who doesn't have a clue about computers and the tech stuff I really enjoyed seeing what is possible if you know how to use it. Thanks a lot was truly appreciated.
Your visual display is very nicely done, but it just doesn't work for me because I'm red green colorblind. I had to look extremely hard to see anything happening on the neck portions, and really had to be already looking right at the note letter to catch it changing. I wish I had seen this video years ago. I finally tackled basic music theory last year and it has made a vast difference and honestly wasn't hard at all. Glad I found your channel.
