The Internet Ruined me - Wilbur Soot. GUITAR TUTORIAL
As requested here's another great song by Wilbur.
Standard Tuning
no capo or anything fancy
Learnt the chords to the first section well and memorize them. The rest of the song will come easy after that. Pay attention to the A add9 (fourth chord in the first section) and the D 6/9 chord (fifth chord in the first section). Those two chords are used a lot throughout the song.

Many people were requesting this song. After doing some research I found a few tutorials online that i felt weren't teaching it well. They either had parts wrong or didn't explain it in detail exactly how he does it. Unfortunately, a lot of stuff on youtube is wrong and it's cluttered with people looking for more likDes and not necessarily the best content. This video should cover EVERYTHING he did on the song. Even Wilbur himself has a cool live stream playing it. I used that as reference for playing style but this tutorial explains what he did on the recording. So here it is EXACTLY HOW HE PLAYS IT. The great thing about the internet is there's so much info avail at the blink of my eye. The bad thing is so much of it is incorrect. Don't be fooled. :)

Hello! this may not be too helpful, but for me, it was all about the wrist placement. put your thumb a bit lower on the guitar, and also just lower your shoulder a bit as well

Also! when barring the actual guitar, instead of putting your finger flat against the guitar, use the side of your finger. And basically just practice, it took me weeks to get it right, so don’t be discouraged. good luck!! :DD

its a whole different topic all together. my best advise to find a classical guitar video explaining them. they have the perfect technique for barre chords and will get you on the right path. keep the thumb in the back of the neck, make a C shape with you hands, keep the barre finger stright a move slightly to the side, first try just barring 2 strings. then slowly add more. if it hurts in the thumb of wrist STOP! you're doing it wrong. after 20yrs of teaching id say barre chords are the hardest thing to teach unless you're in the room with the person,. So maybe take a few private lessons in person with a reputable teacher in your area.

Hey, I really love your videos and the way you teach. It’s super easy to follow and I can pick it up really quickly after you explain. Amazing tutorial !! I keep coming back to your channel to learn Wilbur's songs. I started your maybe I was boring tutorial last night and I was surprised how easy it was. I am a very new guitar player, I just started last week and i can almost play the entire song. Thank you for all of these tutorials, they are genuinely the best ones I have seen on youtube. I'm going to come back here and learn this song once I finish Maybe I was boring. @@Toni-mj3zz you don’t in the sense that you can play it without and it will be in a lower key. However, it’s much harder to learn from the tutorial that way. Especially if you don’t know how a capo works. I suggest getting one and you’ll understand
