bit of a yap but this man is an absolute blessing. I started guitar 3ish years ago basically only because I liked wilburs music, so this guy making easy and shockingly accurate tutorials of his stuff was and still is a blessing. Thanks to this mf I learned most of ycgma and cmyb, and cuz i was just starting its also how I learned hammer-ons, barre chords, and fingerstyle. You basically kickstarted my whole guitar career, so ty sm I can't thank u enough also if we could get an Oh Distant You tut soon thatd be greatly appreciated lmao
Could you also add drop shipped cat shirt to the list? Its one of my favorites in this album. I know everyone finds it pretty scary but the unnerving ness of the song is very comforting to me. I dont know. I appreciate you still doing these songs though, ignoring the artist these songs are extremely special to me, and helped me through a lot of hard times, they are just a comfort for me. I wont let a man take that away from me.
Hey! I was just using your tutorial for I Am Very Smart earlier today! This is sort of surprising that you posted this though, but whatever you want to do! It’s great
THANK YOU FOR STILL DOING HIS TUTORIALS. Despite what he did, I still like his music, and I think it's pretty cool that you're willing to do the tutorials
Wilburs songs, despite everything he’s done, are one of my favorite songs to play. It it just so much fun for me and i love playing them, and I don’t want to let him take that away from me. Playing his music lets the art stay alive but not by supporting him, thank you for this!
Hi Justin I found your channel like a year ago and since that I've seen every one of your tutorial video like three times 😭😂 I found some other tutorials for Wilbur songs but no one ever got it as close as you really love your tutorials thanks so muchhh
Thanks! Yeah! That’s the idea. So many wrong guitar tutorials on RU-vid. As a professional performer I feel it’s my duty to help a little. Keep practicing! :)
@@JustinRothberg that’s so real 😭 thanks a lot for the tutorial tho your the only good Wilbur soot tutorials on RU-vid, and his music is really comforting to me so I love to learn them!
@@SelenaStokes-nc4kf no prob. Like I said. I just teach guitar. If you learn the song you learn an F#min arpeggio pretty good and a cool A7b5 voicing. Your finger-style will get better too. So I’m my book as a guitar teacher…. That’s good
i personally disagree with the sentiment of separating the art from the artist, so i won't be learning this one, but thank you for always making tutorials easy to follow, your recent one of memento mori was great :) do you think you could do the song "my city" by better oblivion community center? i haven't found a good tutorial or tab or whatever on it anywhere.
I disagree with this sentiment of separating the art from the artist. He wrote this entire album about hurting her but manipulated it into making himself out to be the victim. Unsubscribed...
He’s 1000% in the wrong but where is your proof that he wrote these songs specifically about abusing his SO? Unless he came out and said that, that’s not an assumption that should be made. Seems like he was in a bad place when writing these songs and then abused people around him which again, is awful. I highly doubt he abused his loved ones and then went “yknow, this would be some great material for my music.”
I just teach guitar. If I get someone to practice and get better then I've done good. I'm removed from any personal life drama with a song I teach. Up to you what song you want to learn. Sorry you had to unsubscribe.
Thank you very much for continuing to do these tutorials, despite what William did, his songs still mean a lot to me and learning them with your videos has helped me progress a lot with the guitar, I hope you continue with this <3
I had followed Wilbur for more than 4 years and it dissapoints me what happened, but music does get separated from the artist a lot so its cool we can appreciate some of it for what it is.
Wilbur's music really inspired me and helped me make my own music, despite the horrible person he is, I think he is a incredibly talented artist and that shouldn't be ignored! your tutorials boosted my guitar skills, and thank you do much for this❤
THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THIS! we can always separate the art from the artist. He made bad choices and mistakes and is taking time to better himself. We should all get a second chance! Thanks for this in depth tutorial.
I could not agree less! There is no second chances for abuse considering he couldn't even apologize properly. Regardless, I love this song. I'm gonna learn it so I can hear it from a good person instead of a disgusting person like him.
@screenie__ I believe in second chances for everyone, but I respect your opinion and I hope that when he improves and gets better others would be willing to see that
Thanks for this cover! It’s awesome. To switch it up a bit, what if you looked at Eddie Flints “Broken People”, you can’t really find any good tutorials for that.
Hey Justin! I’ve been looking for a guitar tutorial on a song called Madeleine by the band Good Kid. It’s a really nice tune. Just throwing this song out there since there are hardly any tutorials on it and thought maybe an experienced guitar player could try to teach us the most accurate version of the song.
Oh my goodness, thank you so much Justin!! This is one of the songs that I have always wanted to learn for a long time but there was never a good tutorial. But now I know there is definitely an amazing one! Thanks again for being awesome!!
heyy I love your videos and how accurate it all is but I have a problem. I can't tune my guitar because my tuner isnt showing D# or any other things with sharp, is there an alternative?
Hey man I was wondering if your gonna continue doing Wilbur soot song tutorials with the recent controversy surrounding him? Your probably the best guy for learning his songs on RU-vid and though he’s a bad person I’d still love to learn his songs as they brought me comfort for years, so basically im just wondering, will you?
I may do some in the future. I personally try to separate someone’s personal life from music. Michael jackson, Wagner, so many people have made great music but are dirtbags. I don’t support what they did but I still say “that’s a great song”.
@@SelenaStokes-nc4kf i think it’s separate from personality. A lot of people have issues and express themselves through music. Sometimes those issues are negative
