What makes this all even crazier is that it's just happened in Indycar as well a month ago. For those that don't know 2021 Indycar Champion Alex Palou was announced to be staying with his current team by CGR (his current team) before he said it wasn't true and that they had no permission to make that announcement or use the quotes they made up from "Palou". Moments later McLaren announce that Palou will be racing for them next year and Palou backed this up. Currently CGR are trying to sue their current driver Palou as the season continues...

Bottas went bowling with the drivers in Hungary 21, and Alonso went bowling with the driver market in Hungary 22

My theory is that Webber is Piastri’s manager and Webber and Alonso are great friends. So Webber told Alonso to wait to announce his change right before Oscars contract expires so he won’t have to race for Alpine and Webber can get Piastri a seat at McLaren when Danny Ric moves to Alpine. The reason Alonso wants to do this is because Alpine could become a championship winning team but they don’t want to spend the money. Whereas Aston Martin with daddy stroll forking out billions into their F1 project so he thinks Aston could become good in the future.

At this point I don't think we must call Fernando the "burner of bridges", I think he came back in 2020 just to get on fire the whole F1. That's the real plan. He's one of those men that just want to watch the world burn, and you can clearly see him causing that mess in Alpine and come back in Spa with a huge smile in his face. You must love Fernando at this point. He's just above everyone.

Alex Albon I understand that, with my agreement, Williams Racing have put out a press release this afternoon that I am driving for them next year. This is right and I have signed a contract with Williams for 2023. I will be driving for Williams next year.
