Just one point - When Kautuk said that the chatbot just could have saved time when it spat out 20 situations, and bawa said that they already had thought of those 20. Eventually, if we start taking help of AI and these ChatBots, wouldn't our thinking process slow down even more? Because, today, you would think of 20 these and maybe spend 30 mins doing so. But that 30 mins, in a way, act as a lubricant and help in branching out your thinking. Just a thought.

As an artist, the only thing I hate about AI is the fact that artists have not consented to their art being fed into an engine or people profiting from it. Of course AI is a wonderful tool, but it's just that-a tool. Businesses and corporations exclusively using AI to create art is dystopian, in an already underpaid abundant industry. From an individual perspective, there will always be people willing to pay for real artists, but the number of these people will go down.

Well yes kisika career nahi ja raha (Sivai bawa voh kal jaayesh) But think about this the stand up set was so plain and simple very generic but if you take the base of this and add personal details to it (for example the passenger telling a story add specifics ki voh muje bola ki meine pulav khaya aur muje aids hoagya are nahi jaana muje, please let me read) This makes it a better joke so AI can’t create a stand up set but it can create an outline for you on any topic you want and then you just have to fill in details to it So ya creative jobs can’t be snatched away by AI but it will make it easy cause AI will create starting points for you and you just have to take it forward and as writer myself I think it’s fascinating cause its always the start that is difficult to know where to begin from

Also, another aspect of art is that art creates heroes. AI is a tool. Humans crave heroes. People turn up to watch not just XYZ movie, they turn up for XYZ starring A directed by B so on and so forth. If you simply start making XYZ by AI the inherent value and attraction of the product is lost.

Yaar matlab I don't think AI will replace art for the same reason it won't replace sports. and the same reason why we conversations with AI won't replace conversations with friends. The novelty of it will die out very fast. Firstly, the ability of another human to make art is what blows our mind a lot of time, just like when we watch sports, we are really blown away by the ability of the player. You can't replace a player with a bot. Secondly, art, and by art I mean anything that has a sense of artistic expression and not made for just 100% entertainment is in many ways a two way conversation. The artist is trying to tell a story through his art and we try to interpret it. We try to interpret meaning in it because it was made from that intent. AI art is just analysing a bunch of existing thing through various data point and creating something random out of it. It is not made to convey anything. It has no story. It might lovely to look at and would seem out of this world but the novelty wears off really fast because it has no intent. And then after a point it could just feel hollow because there's no conversation happening there. It does not leave a lasting impression. What would you try to take away from a piece of art when you know there's no meaning or intent in it in the first place. It would be a fun past time like watching clouds form into different shapes, but I guess that's it. Shayad horoscope waalo ko achaa lagge. Voh kahi bhi meaning dhoondne beth jaate hai. AI has not reached the consciousness people claim it to have. The results are very impressive because it's being trained a certain way. It's like a child, in it's infancy the ideas weren't there, it was jumbled and incoherent but at this stage it gives of the illusion of coherence because it's like a toddler repeating patterns. It doesn't seem that way because the data set it has at it's disposal is so vast, it can ideally iterate to the nth item. AI is still a tool and a very fast one at that and it's doing it's job as intended but how we as humans use it will define the next generation of scientists, creators, etc. It won't replace creativity, how we define it ( Yes, Kautuk I completely disagree with you on this) because creativity comes from the human experience and an AI writing a book is not an AI's book but it's rather the human experience put forth in a repeating pattern. Only way, any of this chaos will make sense is to have strict governance on the tools being used. AI users should not be calling themselves "artists" because they are not just like owning camera doesn't make you a photographer or filmmaker. We need to evolve, just like Bawa Said.
